Abstract: An output voltage circuit for power supply aims to arrange output DC power according to component voltage and equalizing current. The power supply has a voltage transformation circuit which consists of transformers each has at least one high voltage power and one low voltage power. The high voltage power output from each transformer is coupled in parallel and integrated on the same line to be output to a load at the rear end. Each low voltage power is output through a single line to another load at the rear end. Thus the load of the transformers is reduced and a desired electricity condition can be maintained.

Abstract: The present invention provides an electronic ballast for a high intensity discharge lamp such as a metal halide lamp. The ballast includes an inverter and a resonant circuit with an ignition capacitor between the resonant circuit and the lamp. The ignition capacitor serves to provide the necessary start-up energy and also serves to provide a low impedance discharge path. A single ignition capacitor may be sufficient, but if a long cable is used to connect the lamp to the ballast, then two ignition capacitors in parallel at opposite ends of the cable may be used. The ballast further provides means for monitoring and controlling lamp power by monitoring a nominally constant dc link voltage, and means for detecting short-circuit and open circuit conditions. A retrial mechanism is provided in the event of the lamp failing to ignite that includes a temporary disabling of the inverter in order to keep the rms lamp voltage low.

Abstract: The present invention uses different frequencies to drive the LED strips in the back-lighting source so that the spatial uniformity of the back-lighting source as well as the color levels in the source can be monitored and adjusted. Each individual strip is assigned to a different frequency. Alternatively, the strips are divided into groups and each group is assigned to a different frequency. A group may comprise two or more strips. Furthermore, some groups may have more strips than the other groups and the number of LEDs in one strip may be different from the number in other strips. The brightness uniformity and the color levels in the back-lighting source are sensed by one or more groups of color sensors in R, G and B. The assignment of driving frequencies can be based on the location of the strips.
