Abstract: A communications connector includes: a dielectric mounting substrate; a plurality of conductors mounted in the mounting substrate; and a wiring board. Each of the conductors includes a fixed end portion mounted in the mounting substrate and a free end portion, each of the free end portions being positioned in side-by-side and generally parallel relationship, and each of the fixed end portions being positioned in side-by side and generally parallel relationship. The wiring board is positioned between the fixed and free end portions of the conductors, the wiring board being generally perpendicular to the conductors, the wiring board including first and second conductive traces that are electrically insulated from each other. First and second conductors are electrically connected with the first and second traces. The first and second conductive traces are arranged on the wiring board to create a crossover between the first and second conductors.

Abstract: A method and computer program product for assembling sheets of paper include cutting at least one “female” cut motif having a female slit in a first sheet. For each female slit, the method and computer program product include cutting in a second sheet a “male” cut motif having a central portion and two cuts at either end of the central portion. Further, the method and computer program product include cutting in each other sheet at least one “female” motif or “male” motif such that other sheets all have the same motif. The method also includes assembling each of the sheets having the same motif with the sheet having a different motif by inserting the central portion of the “male” motif into the female slit of the “female” motif.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an optical scanning device for reading out from or writing on an information carrier. Said optical scanning device comprises a radiation source for producing a radiation beam, means for dividing the rad i tion am infordation calriero sub-beams, focusing means for focusing the plurality of spots on said information carrier, which reflects said plurality of radiation sub-beams towards a detection branch and focus error detection means for detecting a focus error signal. Said focus error detection means comprise on said detection branch, a servo lens for focusing the reflected radiation sub-beams onto a focus plane, a spatial filter for isolating a reflected radiation sub-beam at the focus plane and a split detector for detecting a focus error signal from the isolated radiation sub-beam. The focus error detection means further comprise decision sub-means for deciding whether the focus error signal can be used to correct a position of the focusing means.

Abstract: A jet-propelled watercraft capable of maintaining a propulsion force required for a turn made at the same time as closing of a throttle valve. The jet-propelled watercraft has an auxiliary intake valve and an ECU. The auxiliary intake valve in an intake pipe opens/closes an auxiliary intake passage to bypass a throttle valve. The ECU performs control such that an opening of the auxiliary intake valve in a state where the rotation speed of the engine is not lower than a threshold value is larger than the opening of the auxiliary intake valve in a state where the engine is idling. When in a state where the rotation speed is not lower than the threshold value, it is detected that the throttle valve is completely closed and that a steering mechanism has been turned by a prescribed angle or more, a current opening of the auxiliary intake valve is maintained.
