Publication number: 20070182066Abstract: This invention relates to an injection molding method using an injection mold. The method comprises (1) a molten resin injection step for injecting the molten resin from a gate into a cavity, (2) a pressure-keeping step for continuously applying pressure from the gate after the molten resin injection step, and (3) a fluid injection step for injecting a fluid toward the back surface of the molded product. The pressure-keeping step and the fluid injection step are simultaneously executed. Simultaneously executing these two steps can lower the pressure that is to be continuously applied from the gate. Publication number: 20070182067Abstract: The aim is to manufacture molded tubes for hearing instruments and other hearing devices more cost-effectively. To this end, there is provision for producing a bending mold with the aid of a rapid-prototyping method. An unmolded tube is inserted into the bending mold. Heat is then applied to the bending mold, including the inserted tube, such that after cooling the tube permanently assumes the shape predetermined by the bending mold. Publication number: 20070182078Abstract: This invention relates to a support or hanger utilizing a conical washer spring or set of conical washer springs displaying variable load characteristics. When installed, both types (support or hanger) allow for small movements in pipe, ductwork or equipment (PDE), thus, allowing for the thermal growth of PDE. Conventionally, helical coil spring supports are chosen to meet the load capacities of PDE but are reluctantly used because of their large size. By using conical washer springs, the size of the support is substantially reduced making it a more useable device. A smaller, more compact design proves to increase the support/hanger's application making it more stable to place under piping and even under reciprocating motion equipment like generators and pumps. For small displacements, it is found that this invention behaves in the same manor as a conventional helical coil spring support under the same applied loads.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 5, 2007Publication date: August 9, 2007Inventors: Kirk V. Publication number: 20070182085Abstract: A sheet feeding device includes a stacking plate, a moving mechanism, a pick-up device, a detection plate, a detecting device, and a control section. The stacking plate is movably supported inside the sheet feeding device. The mechanism moves the stacking plate up and down. The pick-up device sends a top one of sheets stacked on the stacking plate, out in a direction from a sheet feeding position within a predetermined level range. The detection plate is mounted above the position and below a top inner surface of the sheet feeding device, with a lower surface thereof facing an object to be placed on the stacking plate. The detection plate is movably supported at a support portion provided at a predetermined location in an upper surface thereof. The detecting device detects upward and downward displacement of the detection plate. According to the detection result, the section controls operation of the mechanism.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2007Publication date: August 9, 2007Applicant: Sharp Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Akira Nakashima, Toyoaki Nanba

Publication number: 20070182086Abstract: The present application is directed to devices and methods for moving media sheets within an image forming device. In one embodiment, the device includes a support floor to support the media sheet. Wear members may be positioned across a width of the support floor and include a height to extend outward from the floor. Further, support members may be positioned across the floor and have a height to also extend outward from the floor. The wear members and the support members support the media sheet as it moves along the media path. The heights of the wear members and the support members are such to prevent the media sheet from buckling being a certain amount and preventing media jams.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 9, 2006Publication date: August 9, 2007Inventors: Niko Murrell, Thom Jer Bacalso, Edward Triplett, Jason Rowe, Brian Blair

Publication number: 20070182088Abstract: Sheets fed out from a sheet feeding portion, which is brought into pressure contact with the sheets by the upward movement of a sheet stacking portion to feed out the sheets, are separated and conveyed one by one while being upwardly curved. During the sheet feeding operation, the sheet stacking portion is sequentially moved up, and when the sheet feeding operation is completed, the sheet stacking portion is moved down. Further, a remaining amount indicating member moved with the upward movement of the sheet stacking portion to indicate the remaining amount of sheets is held at a position before the sheet stacking portion is moved down, by a holding mechanism, when the sheet feeding operation is completed and the sheet stacking portion is moved down.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2007Publication date: August 9, 2007Applicant: CANON KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Hisayuki Tomura, Kei Sawanaka, Akio Nemoto, Kazushi Nishikata, Masato Suzuki, Atsuya Takahashi, Shotaro Yoshimura, Mitsunari Ito

Publication number: 20070182091Abstract: An image forming apparatus is provided that detects a sheet remaining between a transfer unit and fixing unit using a loop sensor. The loop sensor is configured to detect a loop of a sheet conveyed between the transfer unit and the fixing unit. The image forming apparatus includes a control unit to control, in accordance with an output from the loop sensor, a sheet conveyance speed of the fixing unit so as to form the loop of the sheet conveyed by the transfer unit and the fixing unit. If the loop sensor detects a presence of the sheet while driving of the transfer unit and the fixing unit for conveying the sheet has stopped, the control unit determines that a remaining sheet is present, and outputs a warning signal.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2007Publication date: August 9, 2007Applicant: CANON KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventor: Yutaka Kubochi
