Patent number: 7267303Abstract: A system for reducing plasma induced communication disruption is disclosed. The system utilizes an electrophilic gas injectant, bent reentry vehicle nose shaping and a number of flaps configured to provide 3-axis steering capability. Injecting electrophilic gas injectant into plasma accomplishes reduction of plasma induced communication disruption by removing free electrons in the plasma which causes the communication disruption. For reentry vehicles, a bent biconic nose also reduces plasma effect during reentry. By combining electrophilic gas injection and bent nose shaping, the system reduces and/or eliminates plasma induced communication disruption, such as, GPS communication blackout, for a reentry vehicle during reentry. Furthermore, the 3-axis steering capability renders the reentry vehicle more maneuverable. Performance of the reentry vehicle during reentry, such as, target accuracy, is thus improved.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 2004Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Assignee: Lockheed Martin CorporationInventors: Roger D. Patent number: 7267326Abstract: An automatic priming system for internal combustion engines, which is operable to prime the carburetor of the engine at engine cranking speeds, and is automatically disabled after the engine starts. The automatic priming system is driven by pressure fluctuations within the engine crankcase which are caused by reciprocation of the piston. At engine cranking speeds, fluid communication of positive and negative pressure pulses between the engine crankcase and an accumulator is allowed via a restrictor. The positive and negative pressure pulses are used to drive an air pump, such as a diaphragm air pump, to pump atmospheric air to the carburetor to pressurize the fuel bowl of the carburetor for priming. After the engine starts and the piston reciprocates more rapidly, the restrictor prevents communication of positive and negative pressure pulses between the crankcase and the accumulator, and the pressure within the accumulator is relatively constant and below atmospheric pressure.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2006Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Assignee: Tecumseh Products CompanyInventor: Daniel E. Patent number: 7267328Abstract: The subject of this invention is a submerged airlift pump using multiple concentric pipes with diameters that increase as they near the water surface. Water initially accelerated into the lowest pipe section is progressively decelerated in subsequent pipe sections, increasing the residence time of the bubbles and hence the total driving force of the pump. Pipe proportions are optimized with gas flows to maximize total pump discharge at extremely low pumping-heads, resulting in ultra-high pumping efficiencies. This device can be used to promote circulation of large volumes of deep pond water, deficient in oxygen, to the surface, creating an increase in the exchange of gases between the atmosphere and water with minimal energy requirements.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2005Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Inventor: Anthony John Witheridge

Other variations of the game include a blackjack pot and a super jackpot wherein a player wins if he or she has a predetermined hand. The game may be played with or without a conventional gaming establishment dealer.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2004Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Inventor: Norman Schreiner

Patent number: 7267345Abstract: This self-leveling device is employed in the field of lifting of aircraft, helicopters, civil and military flying vehicles, watercraft, camping vehicles, trains, bridges, radar, etc., and for all those activities that require self-leveling and centring during lifting and lowering operations with fast results, without damages to the structure and in perfect safety (eg.: for helicopter lifting, for internal load balance, for safety during take-off and landing). The device is composed of a number of electromechanical lifting groups that operate synchronistically and autonomously from one another, linked with an electronic central general control for operation and a leveling cell. The whole system provides perfect self-leveling in case of unstable ground, for weighing and leveling purposes, targeting, weight balance, maintenance, etc.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2003Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Inventor: Roberto Maggiori

Patent number: 7267346Abstract: The invention comprises a snowboard having an elongated plastic plank as its body with up curved remote ends. A pair of circular plates are fixed to the top of the plank spaced toward the opposite end of the plank to serve as base for mounting bindings thereon and to raise the bottoms of the bindings a narrow distance or height above the plank. A metal elongated steel bar is fixed along the length of the plank along top of the plank to give the plank added strength and rigidity for additional control of the plank by the operator of the plank.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2005Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Inventors: Donald A. Patent number: 7267347Abstract: A structural assembly for electric scooter includes a seat mount and a treadboard support. The structural assembly utilizes hook portions on a connecting plate of the treadboard support to hook onto a stud shaft below a joining plate of the seat mount, and further utilizes embed pieces with compression springs disposed therein to be configured in the connecting plate to embed within fixing holes defined in the joining plate of the seat mount, and thereby complete rapid assemblage of the scooter. Furthermore, a triangular notch is defined in a push plate, and inclined sides of the triangular notch are so configured to function in coordination with inclined edges of wedge-shaped slots formed in upper portion of embed pieces, and thus control of extension or retraction of the embed pieces is effectuated by means of sliding coordination of the inclined sides and the inclined edges.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 2004Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Assignee: Chien Ti Enterprise Co., Ltd.Inventor: Ferretti Chang

Patent number: 7267348Abstract: A vehicular suspension system has a hanger to attach beneath a vehicle, a rocker pivoted at a first end to the hanger and attached proximate a second end to an axle, a shock absorber extending between the hanger and an intermediate position on the rocker, as well as likely a spring on the rocker's second end to push up against the overhead vehicle. The suspension system incorporates an axle saddle configured for more strongly welding to the axle, as well as a composite construction for the rocker to make a tube and thereby achieve a more strongly welded connection to the axle saddle. The suspension system further incorporates a rocker-to-hanger rocking axis alignment subsystem as well as a shock-absorber protection subsystem.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2004Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Inventors: Jason M. Patent number: 7267349Abstract: A material handling lift for moving a load horizontally over a surface and vertically with respect to that surface and a suspension system for the material handling lift. The material handling lift includes a frame with wheels for traveling over the surface. At least one of the wheels is a drive wheel mounted on a vertically-oriented steering column. The steering column is connected to the frame by a parallelogram type suspension system which includes swing arms that are pivotally connected to the frame. A stabilizer bar is connected between the free ends of the swing arms and a shock dampener is connected between the frame and a swing arm. The suspension system helps dampen the shock of traveling over uneven terrain, helps to keep the steering column vertical and the wheels of the vehicle on the ground thereby helping to maintain constant traction with the surface and control of the steering, braking and acceleration of the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 2004Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Assignee: Beech Engineering & ManufacturingInventors: Patsy L. Patent number: 7267351Abstract: A bicycle including a frame having a main frame portion and an articulating frame portion pivotally mounted to the main frame portion and carrying a rear wheel of the bicycle. A shock absorber preferably is operably connected between the main frame portion and the articulating frame portion. Preferably, the top tube and down tube of the main frame contact one another for a distance extending rearwardly from the head tube of the main frame. In one arrangement, the down tube has a non-circular cross-sectional shape.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2005Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Assignee: Specialized Bicycle Components.
