Abstract: A work station chair is enabled to shift in response to a person leaning forward in the chair when in a working mode and leaning back in a rest position. The chair includes a seat, a backrest and supportive structure. The seat is resiliently supported on the supportive structure and moveably along an arc track which is mounted on the supportive structure and has a radius generated from the ankle of the person sitting on the chair. The backrest is resiliently supported on the seat and moveable along an arc track which is mounted to the seat and has a radius generated from H-point that is a natural pivot point of the torso and thigh lines of the person. The chair provides a combined tilting movement of the person's body about the ankle point and the H-point when the person shifts his or her gravity to reduce adverse static postural loads and forces which are responsible for the fatigue and biomechanical dysfunction.

Abstract: A vehicle seat has a base, a front pivotable link indirectly pivotably attached to the base, a rear pivotable link pivotably attached to the base, a seat frame, a seat cushion supported on the seat frame, and a backrest that is mounted on the seat frame by way of a fitting defining a backrest pivot axis. The seat frame is pivotably attached to the front pivotable link. The seat frame is pivotably attached to the rear pivotable link in a manner that defines a pivot axis (41) about which there can be relative pivoting between the rear pivotable link and the seat frame. The height and/or inclination of the seat cushion is adjustable relative to the base by moving the pivotable links. The pivot axis (41) is positioned rearwardly of the backrest pivot axis in at least one position of adjustment of the seat cushion and/or of the backrest.

Abstract: Energy absorbing webbing is provided for use in child safety seat and child restraint devices. A harness system includes energy-absorbing regions into the construction of the harness to allow some release or extension of the harness during use. The energy-absorbing regions of the harness are formed using energy-absorbing webbing in a given region or regions to permit the webbing to extend or elongate so that strong forces are not fully and directly imparted to the child. The energy-absorbing region may be installed at various positions within the child safety seat and harness system and may be incorporated into the child safety harness as original equipment or as a retrofit feature.

Abstract: A hub cap for a vehicular wheel. The hub cap includes a body portion and a wheel coupling portion, both made from a non-metallic material. The wheel coupling portion has circumferentially-spaced lug nut engaging members that are axially alignable with lug nuts extending from the wheel. The lug nut engaging members form a substantially arcuate shape, and are resiliently biased so that upon placement of the hub cap onto a wheel, the lug nuts push the lug nut engaging members in a radial direction. Continued contact between the lug nuts and their corresponding engaging members promotes secure connection between the hub cap and wheel. In one embodiment, the body portion and wheel engaging portion is formed from two separate pieces that are subsequently joined, while in another, they are formed from a single unitary structure to define a one-piece construction.

Abstract: A vehicle braking apparatus is provided with a brake operating element that is operated by a driver, and an actuator that generates a braking force in accordance with a braking operation of the brake operating element. A controller is operatively arranged to control the actuator such that an increase in a rate of change of the braking force with respect to the braking operation by the driver is suppressed upon determining that vehicle cabin background noise is equal to or below a prescribed threshold value.

Abstract: In a vehicle brake control device, a target W/C pressure depending on an amount of operation performed to a brake operating member, exhibits hysteresis due to a forward mapping dataset and a backward mapping dataset. The vehicle brake control device selects the forward mapping dataset or the backward mapping dataset based on the amount of operation performed to the brake operating member, and determines a current value of a current to be supplied to one of first to fourth linear valves. Therefore, it is possible to prevent a wheel cylinder pressure from changing too sensitively to the operation to the brake operating member and from changing even when the driver is not intentionally operating the brake operating member. This makes the driver experience an improved brake feeling.

Abstract: A hydraulic system has first and second functions in which separate control valves govern the flow of fluid between actuators and both a supply conduit and a return conduit. The second function is connected to a load sense passage. When pressure in the load sense passage exceeds a given level an anti-stall valve opens a restricted path between the supply and return conduits. Fluid flow through that restricted path reduces a likelihood that a prime mover driving the pump of the hydraulic system will stall. When only the first function is active the anti-stall valve is closed and does not affect the supply of fluid to that function.
