Abstract: Systems and methods for activating and/or managing fonts allow users to selectively activate individual fonts from inside a multi-font suitcase by separating the individual fonts from a multi-font suitcase file. The separated font may then be saved in a font management “vault” or file that activates only the fonts desired and selected by the user. In this manner, individual fonts can be activated from a font suitcase file without requiring that the entire suitcase's set of fonts be activated and/or added to the font management vault. Users may designate and select different fonts, including different fonts from different foundries (and included in different multi-font suitcases) for a single electronic document (e.g., different fonts for different typeface types, etc.) or use in an application program. Abstract: A wireless communications device obtains sets of map data for rendering portions of a map on a display of the device. The map data includes label data for rendering labels on the map for identifying map features. Once the map data is obtained, the wireless device generates a list of all the labels to be rendered on the map, and for each duplicated label in the list, determines whether the map features associated with the duplicated labels connect on the map. If the labels connect, the device then generates a reconstructed map feature and renders a single instance of the label for the map feature. Accordingly, a map feature, such as a path, can be rendered with a single label even if the map data for the map feature, including its associated labels, was transmitted over-the-air as discrete sets of data.

Abstract: A first process to be executed by an apparatus and a second process to be executed by an apparatus to obtain a composite image by compositing a real space image with a virtual space image are determined by negotiation. The apparatus (101) transmits data necessary for executing the second process to the apparatus. The apparatus executes the second process by using the data and transmits the process result to the apparatus. The apparatus receives the process result by the apparatus and executes the first process. The apparatus displays a composite image obtained on the basis of the result of the first process or a composite image obtained on the basis of the process result and the received process result.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for rotating YUV4:2:0 image in a digital display device, such as TV image system. A YUV4:2:0 image is separated to a Y division matrix and a U and V division matrix. Then the Y division is performed a rotation matrix calculation. And the U and V division matrix is performed a reverse rotation matrix calculation. A rotated YUV4:2:0 image is obtained by combining the processed Y division matrix and the processed U and V division matrix.

Abstract: A color sequential image display apparatus and method which reduces the effects of display frame crosstalk in the display apparatus by incorporating setup display frames for each color component in the color display sequence, where the display of each sequentially displayed color component is initiated and updated immediately prior to independently viewing the color component through synchronized color-filtering eyewear, thereby avoiding interference from previously viewed color components in the display sequence. The use of such setup frame sequencing has particular application in confidential viewing and three-dimensional viewing systems where sequential color encoding of the image signal is utilized.

The nozzle firing circuit includes a switch and a heating resistor. The switch and the heating resistor are coupled in series between a power voltage level and a predetermined voltage level. The nozzle firing control circuit is electrically coupled to the nozzle firing circuit, and receives a selection signal and an address signal. When the address signal and the selection signal are enabled, the nozzle firing circuit is controlled to apply the power voltage level to turn on the switch to drive the heating resistor so that droplets of ink are jetted out.
