Abstract: An object is to provide a wave power generator which can convert wave energy to electric energy with high efficiency and supply electric power of a large capacity at low cost and has a simple structure and is low in construction cost. The wave power generator includes a heavy body 3 elastically supported by air springs 4 as elastic members in an enclosing wall 2 on a floating body 1 and an electromagnetic damper as a generating means 7 provided between the heavy body 3 and the floating body 1. The spring constant of the air springs 4 is adjustable by providing auxiliary tanks in the piston 6 and the floating body 1 so that the undamped natural frequency of the air spring is equal to or close to the frequency of waves within a predetermined frequency ratio ?/?0. Thus, the frequency of the spring system resonates with the frequency of waves, so that the relative movement of the power generating means 7 increases to a maximum and power generation is carried out with maximum efficiency.

Abstract: The invention relates to a lock which is intended to be disposed in a thrust reverser and which comprises a bolt and a linking member having a control lever connected thereto. The invention is characterized in that the control lever is equipped with a slot comprising a coupling section, a throttling section and an end section. The invention is further characterized in that a locking pin, which can move against a spring, is equipped with a constriction having a smaller cross-section than that of the throttling section of the slot. In this way, when the constriction is positioned in line with the slot after the locking pin has moved, the control lever can move alternately from a locking position, in which the locking pin is trapped by the end section, to an open position, in which the slot is disengaged from the locking pin.

Abstract: In a vehicle door lock control, an operating handle is provided at a door inside or outside a vehicle to enable a door to open and close. The handle is connected to an operating lever. In a locked position, the door cannot be opened by the operating handle, while it can be opened by the operating handle via a release lever in an unlocking position. The release lever pivotally secured on a base plate is connected to a door latch device of the door to allow the door latch device to disengage from a striker of a vehicle body in the unlocking position thereby opening the door by the operating handle. A lock control pin is moved by a knob lever to control the release lever to allow the door to open. The knob lever is operated by a knob manually inside the vehicle or by an actuator electrically.

In some embodiments, the cable is rotatable with respect to the housing when the cable lock is in a locked state, thereby increasing the difficulty of circumventing the lock. The cable lock can have a wall with an aperture shaped to compliment the cross-sectional shape of the cable passed therethrough, an end wall that can be attached to the housing by rolling or crimping an edge of the housing over the end wall, and/or one or more visual indicators providing a manner by which tampering of the cable lock can be detected.

Abstract: A door handle system may be used in many applications, including the automotive industry and specifically on the inside of an automobile door. Embodiments of the invention include a retainer in the door handle assembly to allow installation in blind areas, where the axle is only visible from the back and the handle only visible from the front. The retainer aligns with a groove in the axle and prevents the axle from backing out of the assembly. Embodiments of the invention ensure a tight fit between the handle and axle preventing the assembly from becoming inoperable if components become loose.

Abstract: A system for detecting objects colliding with an automotive vehicle includes a bumper-reinforcing member disposed behind a front bumper, a supporting member disposed behind the bumper-reinforcing member, forming a small gap therebetween, and a load sensor disposed between the bumper-reinforcing member and the supporting member in an overlapped manner. A load caused by a collision and detected by the load sensor is fed to an electronic controller that determines whether the object colliding with the vehicle is a pedestrian or other objects. Since the load sensor is mounted in a manner overlapping with the bumper-reinforcing member and the supporting member, an increase in a longitudinal length of a bumper structure by installing the load sensor is minimized. The load sensor may include plural detecting plates, each having a strain gage mounted thereon.
