Abstract: A vehicle latch assembly including a stanchion support and a pivotally secured seat supporting bracket. A batwing shape sector is slaved to rotate with the bracket between the bracket and stanchion support. A sector bottom surface is interrupted by a shoulder projection and an arcuate interior channel is offset from a slaved rotating connection of the sector to the bracket. A pin extends through another channel defined in the stanchion and seats within the sector channel to bias the sector during travel along the interior channel. A pendulum is secured in sandwiching fashion between the bracket and stanchion and includes an upper edge configuration proximate a selected location of the bottom surface of the rotatable sector, depending upon a rotatable position established between the first seat component and a second seat component. The pendulum responds to an inertial impact condition by engaging the shoulder projection to prevent rotation of the first seat component.

Abstract: In a communication system, a first modulator converts first data created one of a power-generator and an external unit into a first modulated signal, and transmits the first modulated signal to the other of the power-generator and the external unit such that the first modulated signal is superimposed on the output voltage at the output terminal of the power-generator. When a second modulated signal containing second data is transmitted from the other of the power-generator and the external unit such that the second modulated signal is superimposed on the output voltage at the output terminal of the power-generator, a first demodulator receives the transmitted second modulated signal. The first demodulator demodulates the received second modulated signal into the second data.

Abstract: An energy collection system may collect and use the energy generated by an electric field. Collection fibers are suspended from a support wire system supported by poles. The support wire system is electrically connected to a load by a connecting wire. The collection fibers may be made of any conducting material, but carbon, graphite, carbon/carbon, or a mixture thereof are preferred. Diodes may be used to restrict the backflow or loss of energy.

Abstract: An operating device for a vehicle has operating elements for operating different electrical equipment such as, for example, a navigation device, an audio system, a heating and/or air conditioning system and/or a telephone. In order to permit the driver of a vehicle to operate such units as conveniently as possible, and to avert his attention as little as possible during driving operation, it is proposed to design the operating device such that the operating device has a support body that prescribes a fixed position of the operating hand and has operating elements in the form of a control wheel and keys surrounding the control wheel. The keys are arranged in an operating plane such that they enclose an obtuse angle with the support surface formed by the support body.

Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a high efficiency hybrid power supply system that permits a power type power supply device such as a capacitor to be utilized effectively, and that makes it possible to even the burden on an energy type power supply device such as a storage cell. A capacitor 21 is connected to system voltage lines 26 and 27 which are connected to a load 30, and a body formed by a serial connection between a large-capacity storage cell 22 and the output terminal of a voltage controller 23 is connected in parallel with this capacitor 21. The voltage Vb of the storage cell 22 is substantially constant. The voltage controller 23 is a DC/DC converter, for example, the output voltage Vv of which is variable. A system controller 25 changes the system voltage Vs by changing the output voltage Vv of the voltage controller 23.

Abstract: The invention relates to uninterruptible power supply devices which make it possible to supply emergency power to a load, which is to be supplied, in the event of mains failure. The invention is based on the object of providing a device for supplying uninterruptible power, which device can be operated in a more energy-saving manner and in which the emergency power can be controlled in a rapid and safe manner. To this end, the uninterruptible power supply device (10) has a power transistor (42) which can be rapidly switched and can be used to connect a standby power source (60) to the output connections (100, 101) during emergency power operation. The output current can also be dynamically limited by driving the power transistor, which can be rapidly switched, in a corresponding manner. In addition, the input and output of the UPS device (10) are decoupled using a field effect transistor (22) that acts as a power transistor.
