  • Patent number: 7306837
Abstract: An ovenable package contains an ovenable product and has a display surface mounting a self-adhesive ovenable label, for example, presenting a coupon or other product promotional item. The ovenable label has at least two layers including a promotional layer defining the text and graphics of the promotional item. The promotional layer can be paper covered by a transparent, heat resistant barrier layer, preferably made of polyester, adhered to the ovenable package directly or to a heat resistant base layer which is adhered to the ovenable package. In this case, one or more layers of the label can be perforated to define a lift off section. Or, the promotional layer itself can be the outer heat resistant layer releasably adhered to the base layer. A labeling method of providing the promotional item to a consumer of the ovenable product is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7306838
Abstract: A synthetic grass assembly for installation on a supporting soil substrate includes a pile fabric with a flexible sheet backing and rows of upstanding synthetic ribbons representing grass blades, extending upwardly from an upper surface of the backing. An infill layer of two distinct graded courses of particulate material is disposed interstitially between the upstanding ribbons upon the upper surface of the backing and of a depth less than the length of the ribbons. A bottom course of intermixed hard sand and resilient rubber granules with substantially identical particle size distribution characteristics is installed upon the backing and a top course exclusively of resilient rubber granules is placed upon the bottom course.

  • Patent number: 7306839
Abstract: The core mold in the molding device (51) for forming the molded member (4) of the weather strip (1) is provided with a center core (61) having a center core body (63), and a side core (62) having a pair of side core bodies (66L, 66R) The base bottom portion (21) of the molded member (4) is made so that a center slit (33) having substantially an H-shape, a pair of slide slits (32L, 32R), and slit-less bridge portion (34). In order to open the molds, the side core (62) is slid, and the center core body (63) is thereby separated from the side core bodies (66L, 66R). The center core body (63) is thereby withdrawn from the weather strip (1), and the side core bodies (66L, 66R) thereafter are withdrawn.

  • Patent number: 7306841
Abstract: A novel polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material includes a plurality of aggregates connected together by a plurality of relatively long fibrils. Each of the aggregates are formed of PTFE nodes that are connected together by relatively short fibrils. Preferably, the long fibrils have lengths of 500 to 1000 microns and the short fibrils have a lengths of 10 to 30 microns. The aggregates have densities of less than 2.0 grams per cubic centimeter which is lower than the densities of the solid PTFE nodes which have densities of about 2.0 to 2.2 grams per cubic centimeter.

  • Patent number: 7306843
Abstract: A linoleum-based planar structure, a process for the preparation of such a planar structure as well as the use of the planar structure, for example, as a floor covering is provided. The linoleum-based planar structure contains flakes, including organic polymeric material, over the whole cross section of the linoleum sheet. The flakes are compatible with the linoleum base composition and have a particle size in the range of 0.5 mm to 30 mm and a thickness in the range of 1.0 ?m to 400 ?m. Such a planar structure displays a smooth plain surface without the need of any grinding step. Moreover, the incorporation of such flakes enables a broad variety of designing and patterning, particularly the development of a distinctively, coarsely patterned “spotting structure.

  • Patent number: 7306845
Abstract: Nanoscale particles, particle coatings/particle arrays and corresponding consolidated materials are described based on an ability to vary the composition involving a wide range of metal and/or metalloid elements and corresponding compositions. In particular, metalloid oxides and metal-metalloid compositions are described in the form of improved nanoscale particles and coatings formed from the nanoscale particles. Compositions comprising rare earth metals and dopants/additives with rare earth metals are described. Complex compositions with a range of host compositions and dopants/additives can be formed using the approaches described herein. The particle coating can take the form of particle arrays that range from collections of disbursable primary particles to fused networks of primary particles forming channels that reflect the nanoscale of the primary particles. Suitable materials for optical applications are described along with some optical devices of interest.
