Publication number: 20070290182Abstract: The invention proposes a hoisting-cable drive for a mobile crane, which hoisting-cable drive uses a single bottom-hook block (15) instead of a known double bottom-hook block. However, to prevent this single bottom-hook block (15) from tilting in the two cable lines (9, 10), for example due to possible variations in the elongation of the two cable drives, the hoisting-cable drive according to the invention comprises a kinematic force equilibrium device (17, 21), which can equalize such differences. To this effect, another embodiment of the hoisting-cable drive according to the invention uses a hoisting-cable load pickup (21) within each cable line arrangement so that the rotary speed of the winches (7, 8) can be varied, taking into account any load differences in the individual hoisting-cable lines (9, 10). Furthermore, the invention also proposes that the rotary speed of the winches (7, 8) be adjusted, taking into account the geometric winch states and crane states.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 27, 2005Publication date: December 20, 2007Inventors: Ingo Noeske, Alfons Weckbecker, Axel Beckmann

Publication number: 20070290188Abstract: A substrate for semiconductor light emitting devices is provided. The substrate is characterized in that the substrate is a single crystal material and has a nanocrystal structure capable of diffracting an electromagnetic wave. The nanocrystal structure is disposed on a surface portion of the substrate and includes an etched region and an unetched region, wherein the etched region has a depth of 10-200 nm. Due to the periodicity of the nanocrystal structure, the semiconductor material grown on the substrate has fewer defects, and the material stress is reduced.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 6, 2006Publication date: December 20, 2007Applicant: Industrial Technology Research InstituteInventors: Chang-Cheng Chuo, Chih-Ming Lai

Publication number: 20070290189Abstract: The invention discloses a light emitting device including a substrate, a first metal layer, and an infrared light emitter. The substrate has a first surface, and the first metal layer is formed on the first surface of the substrate. The infrared light emitter is formed on the first metal layer and includes a dielectric metal interface consisting of a dielectric layer and a second metal layer. The first metal layer of the invention is capable of suppressing the background thermal radiation resulted from the substrate, such that the light emitting device can be operated at high temperature and then emits infrared with narrow bandwidth.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 2, 2006Publication date: December 20, 2007Inventors: Si-Chen Lee, Ming-Wei Tsai

Publication number: 20070290191Abstract: A optoelectronic device is disclosed containing at least one multilayer interference reflector, having at least two periodicities in the refractive index. At least one of the periodicities, or quasi-periodicities, prohibits the light emission in a range of angles tilted with respect to the intentionally selected direction, for example, in the direction perpendicular to the layer planes, preventing the emission of light in the optical modes propagating in a certain interval of angles, dangerous for the device, and thus reducing the effect of parasitic modes on the device performance. A light generating element emitting light in a certain wavelength range is preferably introduced in one of the layers. The light is then channeled into the required angle range. The device can additionally contain a cavity. A second periodicity of the refractive index is preferably selected to ensure a high reflectivity in the vertical direction enabling advanced vertical cavity surface-emitting lasers.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 6, 2007Publication date: December 20, 2007Inventors: Vitaly Shuchukin, Nikolai Ledentsov

Publication number: 20070290192Abstract: An SRAM device and method of forming MOS transistors of the device having reduced defects associated with selective epitaxial growth in moat tip regions is discussed. The SRAM device comprises a core region and a logic region, logic transistors within the logic region of the SRAM, and selective epitaxial regions grown on both source and drain regions; and memory cell transistors within the core region of the SRAM, and having the selective epitaxial regions grown on only one of the source and drain regions. One method of forming the MOS transistors of the SRAM cell comprises forming a gate structure over a first conductivity type substrate to define a channel therein, masking one of the source and drain regions in the core region, forming a recess in the substrate of the unmasked side of the channel, epitaxially growing SiGe in the recess, removing the mask, and forming the source and drain extension regions in source/drain regions.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2006Publication date: December 20, 2007Inventor: Antonio Luis Pacheco Rotondaro
