Publication number: 20080135652Abstract: A safety device that can close the paper passage of a shredder has a touch board pivoted in the vicinity of the shredder opening. When the board is under a pressure produced by fingers touching the opening, it is rotated about its pivotal axis. Its rotation drives a transmission mechanism and a closing element to close the opening. Therefore, the fingers cannot go into the opening and get hurt. Once the pressure on the touch board disappears, a restoring element pushes the touch board back to its normal position and brings the closing element away from the closing position. The opening is thus open again.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 3, 2007Publication date: June 12, 2008Applicant: Michilin Prosperity Co., Ltd.Inventor: Simon Huang

Publication number: 20080135653Abstract: A control mechanism for the feed of a brush chipper is disclosed. A lower feed stop bar, located under a feed table, pivots on a pivot axis located below and toward the brush chipper from the control bar of the lower feed stop bar. The center of gravity of the lower feed stop bar, then, tends to pivot the lower feed stop bar away from the feed disengage position. Hence, nuisance trips due to vibration, impact of brush on the table, etc., are reduced.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2006Publication date: June 12, 2008Inventors: Edwin N. Publication number: 20080135667Abstract: The method of precision winding of yarn into packages by frequently changing the wind ratio within one winding cycle solves the problem related to frictional force “Fr”, which is generated in the odd layer at unwinding of packages, by introducing a quite innovative technique of threads winding on the tube in odd winding-on layers and even layers. To carry out the method according to this invention, it does not matter if the driver of thread guides of the winder, on which a package is wound, changes the direction of its rotation or not. If the driver of thread guide, i.e. the servomotor does not change the direction of rotation, it must be taken into consideration that the number of guides should be a multiple of the length of thread guides carriers, and the distance between them should match the length “L” of the package. The thread can be wound on a cylindrical or conical tube, with or without flanges at back end of the package.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2007Publication date: June 12, 2008Inventor: Jaksic DANILO

Publication number: 20080135673Abstract: Disclosed is a printer including a paper feeder for accommodating a rolled paper to be pulled out and recorded thereon. The feeder has a container section to set the roll, in which first and second support walls are arranged to rotatably support the roll. While paper from the roll is taken out, a contact force produced by the roll against the first support wall is kept larger than that in a stationary state, and a contact force produced by the roll against second support wall is kept smaller than that in the stationary state. A friction coefficient between the second support wall and the roll is larger than one between first support wall and the roll, the roll being in slidable contact with the first and second support walls. Therefore, when the recording is started, an impact force to the roll can be alleviated, resulting in reducing unevenness in image in a feeding direction of the paper.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2007Publication date: June 12, 2008Applicant: TOSHIBA TEC KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: KATSUTOSHI SATO, KIKUO MIZUTANI

Publication number: 20080135684Abstract: An aircraft door mechanism includes a solenoid connected to a support assembly. The solenoid displaces the latch pin between a solenoid energized and a solenoid de-energized position. A catch assembly rotatably connected to the support assembly is positioned to engage a 3½ degree or less taper portion of the latch pin in the solenoid energized position. When the latch pin moves to the solenoid de-energized position, a latch bolt supported by the door rotates the catch assembly. The latch bolt includes a distal bulbous end which multiplies the force applied to the door to rotate the catch assembly. If the latch pin is extended, a substantially greater force is required to force the latch pin to the solenoid de-energized position owing to the reduced taper of the latch pin. Authorized door entry is therefore easier and unauthorized door entry is made more difficult.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2007Publication date: June 12, 2008Inventors: James J. Publication number: 20080135685Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed employing electric propulsion stationkeeping in a cyclical manner to better match the cyclical pattern of power generated by the solar array system. For a typical orbit design, e.g. a geostationary orbit, North-South stationkeeping can be intermittently suspended, tolerating some additional drift but yielding in a very significant reduction in the required solar power system. If necessary, stationkeeping can be supplemented with a chemical thrusters during off periods for the electric propulsion. Because of this, the overall electrical power margin for the solar array system design can be reduced without compromising the mission performance.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2006Publication date: June 12, 2008Applicant: The Boeing CompanyInventors: James D. Publication number: 20080135694Abstract: The invention relates to a adjustable mounting assembly. There is a need for a simple adjustable and lockable mounting assembly. A mounting assembly adjustably supports a platform relative to a base. The assembly includes a plurality of adjustable length legs. Each leg has a first end pivotally coupled to the base and a second end pivotally coupled to the platform. An arm projects transversely away from each leg into the space surrounded by the legs. A locking or clamping device is located in the space surrounded by the legs and pivotally receives an inner end of each arm. The clamping device including a tension adjust member which can be tightened to prevent relative movement between the arms, and thus, the legs. The clamping device includes first and second plates which form a plurality of apertures therebetween. Each aperture pivotally receives a pivot ball on the inner end of each arm.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2006Publication date: June 12, 2008Inventors: Dean Arden Boyce, Randall Craig Machnoiz

Publication number: 20080135695Abstract: A tray system is designed to be affixed in a stationary position to a housing of a welding-type system to support a gas cylinder for use with the welding-type system. The tray includes a base extending from the housing to form an interior and a periphery. As such, the interior forms a platform configured to support the gas cylinder proximate to the housing. The tray also includes a wall extending up from the base along at least a portion of the periphery of the base to form a barrier along the portion of the periphery that restricts the gas cylinder from being removed from the base. A lifting tab is included that extends up from the base proximate to the wall to form a pivot axis for the gas cylinder against which the gas cylinder may be tilted and rotated to raise the gas cylinder onto the wall and remove the gas cylinder from the tray without manual lifting.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2006Publication date: June 12, 2008Inventors: Jonathan R. Publication number: 20080135696Abstract: A retractable tool stand is provided for use with a tool having a tool head and a generally elongated tool handle extending therefrom. The tool stand is mounted on the tool handle for articulation between a retracted position, where the stand is positioned generally adjacent to the tool handle so as not to interfere with use of the tool, and an extended position, where the stand generally projects away from the tool handle to engage a support surface to prop up and temporarily store the tool in a generally upright or vertical orientation. The tool stand may be directly connected to the tool handle or connected to an adapter unit that can be mounted onto or incorporated as part of the tool handle.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2006Publication date: June 12, 2008Inventors: Thomas R.
