Abstract: A solid imaging apparatus is provided that includes a replaceable cartridge containing a source of build material and an extendable and retractable flexible transport film for transporting the build material layer-by-layer from the cartridge to the surface of a build in an image plane. An operator using the device needs merely to remove a spent cartridge and replace it with a fresh cartridge to continue solid imaging virtually uninterrupted. The apparatus also includes the capability of withdrawing and inserting an imager without the operator having to perform a separate alignment step. A brush attached to the transport film and forming part of the cartridge provides for intra-layer removal of excess uncured build material. If desired, the apparatus can produce a fully reacted build. A high intensity UV source cures the build between layers. An injection molded build pad is designed to hold a build in an inverted position for improving the build.

Abstract: The invention relates to blends of polyamides in polyesters, a method for forming such compositions, and to containers made from such compositions. Specifically the compositions have less haze and transparency than previous blends. The blends can be used as passive gas barriers, and/or active oxygen scavengers with the addition of a transition metal catalyst. The invention seeks to obtain balanced refractive indices for the polyamides/polyester compositions. A method to blend the copolyester and polyamides and orient the blend to minimize the haze, thereby forming an oriented article, is also described and claimed. These articles have excellent gas barrier properties.

Abstract: To decrease dimensions in the axial direction by dispensing with a stopper while making the control of a value of spring constant easy in the axial direction of a sub-frame mount and in the direction meeting at right angles therewith, an inner cylinder 3 is arranged inside of an outer cylinder which is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape by having a pair of half bodies arranged in an opposed relationship, and a vibration isolating rubber is adapted to connect between the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder. Slits are formed on side walls of the vibration isolating rubber along slits dividing the outer cylinder. Projecting portions are provided on the inner peripheral wall of the outer cylinder to project toward the inner cylinder. The outer cylinder and tips are formed concentrically and a radius of curvature R1 of the inner peripheral wall of the outer cylinder is smaller than a radius of curvature R3 of the opposed outer peripheral wall of the inner cylinder.

The support also comprises a second body, having dissimilar material properties from the elastomer body, acting in parallel with the elastomer body to support and dampen the loads.

Abstract: A structure of a vacuum adsorbing working platform includes a lower body and an upper body. The lower body has a plurality of channels, and the top of the lower body has a plurality of cross grooves which extend transversely and longitudinally. The channels communicate with the grooves, and they connect to an induction pump. The upper body attached on the lower body has a plurality of ventilation holes passing through the upper body and relative to the grooves, thereby the structure of the working platform is formed which provides better suction.

The information management module receives and processes the position information of the workpiece. The driving devices electronically couple with the information management module. The positioning device includes a platform (31) and a plurality of positioning pins (32). One end of the workpiece is positioned in a certain area of the platform. Each respective pin is attached to a corresponding driving device. When the driving device receives an order/signal from the information management module, the positioning pin is selectably driven relative to (e.g., toward, away from) the workpiece by the driving device.

Abstract: In a duplex automatic sheet feeder, a first passageway is connected to a sheet input tray for storing sheets. A sheet feeding mechanism feeds the sheets one by one to the first passageway. A second passageway is connected to the first and third passageways and has an image processing region. A fourth passageway is connected to the third passageway and the second passageway. A fifth passageway is connected to the third passageway and a duplex sheet output tray. A guiding mechanism located at a connection portion between the third and fifth passageways selectively guides the sheet from the third passageway to the fifth passageway. A sheet detector located at the third passageway detects the sheet moving through the third passageway. A transporting mechanism transports the sheet from the first passageway to the duplex sheet output tray sequentially through the second, third, fourth, third and fifth passageways.

Abstract: An apparatus for aligning sheet stacks in a feeder of sheet processing machines includes a motor-driven aligning plate and a movement converter situated between a motor drive and the aligning plate. The movement converter forces a movement describing approximately a circular path onto the aligning plate. A vertical speed component of the aligning plate during aligning corresponds to an upward speed of a feeder stack. A method for aligning sheet stacks in a feeder of a sheet processing machine as well as a sheet processing machine, are also provided.

Abstract: A document feeder includes a casing, a sheet pick-up module, a stopper and a swing lever. The casing includes a sheet feeding channel therein. The sheet pick-up module is pivotally mounted above the sheet feeding channel, and movable between a sheet feeding position and a standby position. The stopper is disposed under the sheet feeding channel. The swing lever includes a first end part is pressed down by the sheet pick-up module and a second end part is pressed down by the stopper. When the sheet pick-up module is switched from the sheet feeding position to the standby position, the sheet pick-up module depresses the first end part of the swing lever, so that the stopper is raised by the second end part of the swing lever to be protruded to the sheet feeding channel.

A clutch pushes a pin of the flexible element and disengages the flexible element with the ratchet.

Abstract: This paper feed cartridge includes a paper storage member for storing papers supplied to an image generating apparatus and a paper push-up member provided on the bottom of the paper storage member for receiving the papers thereon and pushing up the papers to a position for coming into contact with a paper feed roller provided on a paper supply port of the image generating apparatus, while the paper push-up member integrally includes a notched or hole-shaped relief portion for preventing the paper push-up member from coming into contact with the paper feed roller when rotating in a paper push-up direction.

Each node includes one of a magnet and a metal element. Each token includes the other of a magnet and metal element such that a token may be magnetically held in place over a selected node. The gameboard may be foldable between deployed and storage configurations. A token may be moved along the channels between nodes, the tokens being configured for movement in the channels but not for removal. Once positioned at a node, the token may be held magnetically until moved or removed therefrom.

Abstract: The group of the invention relates to table games using the playing board of two levels, the lower one being made in the form of a chessboard. The upper level of the playing board is formed by individual supports for each piece in the form of aviation combat equipment models, each support being configured for placing the base thereof on the periphery of the lower level square of the playing board. The method for playing the game is characterized in that, in the case when the upper level piece is attacking the lower level piece, the former being taken off the support thereof and placed onto the latter's place. The game is convenient in maintenance and use; it is compact in storing and easily in handling.

Abstract: Duplicate hands are dealt in a remote game of poker or other card game of chance. Simulated cards or game pieces are dealt to players with the order of suits changed for each player. A map is maintained in a computer memory between a reference set of indices corresponding to card suits, and differently-ordered sets of playing suits for dealing in the game. A reference game is maintained at a server computer to track game status according to the reference set of indices. Game play is translated between the reference game and individual playing suits so that players are unaware of the order of suits used for other players.

Then they join two of his/her numbers to the number from the table creating math equation. The player that exhausts his tiles first is the winner of the game.

Abstract: A three-dimensional molded thermal signature target form comprising a conductive polymer material suitable for conducting infrared radiation such that a thermal signature is created and viewable by any number of suitable IR imaging or viewing systems. The thermal signature target form includes embedded busbars attached to a power source. The thermal signature target form can provide a realistic, inexpensive and safe live-fire target for training in thermal image recognition and shooting.

Abstract: A metal to metal seal for downhole tools. A sealing device includes a metal seal. A nonmetal seal may be used to bias the metal seal in a radial direction in response to a pressure differential applied to the sealing device. A well tool includes a housing assembly, a closure member and the sealing device. Both of the metal and nonmetal seals contact a selected one of the housing assembly and closure member when the closure member blocks flow through the housing assembly. A method of sealing between the housing assembly and closure member includes the step of displacing the closure member to relieve the pressure differential, the metal seal continuing to seal against the pressure differential until the nonmetal seal no longer seals between the housing assembly and the closure member.

Abstract: A seal assembly has an inner wear sleeve with an axially extending tubular body. A flange extends radially outwardly from the body. An outer seal component has an axially extending tubular outer wall with a flange extending radially inwardly therefrom to support at least one dynamic seal lip in sealing engagement with the inner sleeve body. The outer seal component includes an annular retention lip disposed axially outwardly of the wear sleeve flange. The retention lip extends radially inwardly of a radially outer edge of the flange and is deflectable in an axial direction to enable the flange of the wear sleeve to be forced axially thereby during assembly, whereupon the retention flange returns to its non-deflected position to inhibit removal of the wear sleeve in the reverse axial direction. The annular retention flange has at least one axially extending debris expulsion slot for the escapement of debris.

A first step involves providing a conical mould having more than one part consisting of an inner mandrel adapted to shape an interior sidewall of a sealing element and an outer mould adapted to shape an exterior sidewall of the sealing element. A second step involves saturating wear resistance fabric with liquid polymer, the liquid polymer being suitable for use as a resilient sealing element when set. A third step involves covering the inner mandrel with the saturated fabric. A fourth step involves assembling the conical mould. A fifth step involves pouring liquid polymer into the mould and allowing the liquid polymer to set, thereby forming the sealing element with the wear resistant fabric embedded in the interior sidewall. A sixth step involves removing the sealing element from the conical mould.

The present invention includes a first shank, a second shank, at least one pivoting means, and a securing means. The pivoting means can include a ball joint or universal joint. These joints can be lockable, that is, once the second shank is in a desired position it can be locked into place. The first shank and second shank can be pivotally connected so that different angles can be achieved between the two shanks. In addition, there can be a securing means attached to one of the shanks. The securing can attach to a portion of the shopping cart.

Abstract: A hanger for a skateboard truck that generally comprises a ring-shaped member, a pivot stem, and an elongated barrel that houses an axle. Such elongated barrel defines a plurality of corrugations on the bottom thereof, the longitudinal axis of each corrugation aligned generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of such elongated barrel. Such corrugations are strategically distributed along such elongated barrel to ensure adequate engagement of some number of corrugations with such obstacle during a grind, helping to prevent such hanger from slipping off from such obstacle in a direction generally perpendicular to the general direction of intended grinding motion along such obstacle. Such hanger can be adapted to cooperate with a variety of existing skateboard truck baseplates.

This configuration provides a high conical rate and provides auxiliary roll stiffness such that a sway bar is not required.

When the handlebar is folded downwards with the handlebar stem, the handlebar can be further folded and placed in the recess of the fork blade without interfering with the fork blade. Thus, the folding bicycle can be further folded with a less folded volume.

Abstract: A roller-wheeled bike structure comprises a main frame with a seat tube locked to a seatpost topped by a saddle with a level handle extending at the front lower section. A lower bracket having a five-way tube connected to a pedal chain set is welded to the lower front side of the seat tube. A rear fork is joined both to the back side of the lower bracket and the middle section of the seat tube. A transverse-extending guide shaft of the front wheel seat has both ends equipped with a guide plate and a front wheel respectively and conjoined to each other by a parallel link. The connecting tube is fixed to the lower bracket for the mounting of an operational control post composed of a coupling tube and a support rod. Therefore, the roller-wheeled bike can be stably ridden in multiple ways and economically collapsed for packing/shipping purposes.

The touring motorcycle may include a tip-over structure which prevents unwanted tip-over of the motorcycle.

Abstract: A device and method for steering mechanism breakaway are disclosed. In order to avoid harmful steering column intrusion into the passenger compartment of a vehicle in the event of vehicle collision, an intermediate link between the steering column and the steering gearbox is disposed. The intermediate link comprises of an inner shaft and an outer tube which are connected via longitudinal matching splines to facilitate rotational engagement. In normal operation the inner shaft may longitudinally move inside the tube. The outer tube has openings along it and detachment means at one end to facilitate detachment of the shaft from the tube through the openings when the shaft moves longitudinally into the tube beyond a certain point due to movement of the steering gearbox towards the steering column during a collision.

Abstract: The present invention provides an automotive pretensioner seatbelt system, which includes a seatbelt webbing, a slip ring, a buckle, a pretensioner and a retractor. One end of the webbing is fixed to the anchor site of the vehicle body, while the other end of the webbing goes through the slip ring and links to the retractor. The pretensioner includes a stroke enlargement mechanism and a power source. The stroke enlargement mechanism includes a fixed component and a movable component. The webbing is wound around the fixed component and the movable component. The stroke enlargement mechanism ensures that the length of webbing retracted by the pretensioner is greater than the displacement of the movable component. Compared to conventional seatbelt systems, this seatbelt system allows more webbing to be retracted in the same time duration; in other words, it takes less time to retract a webbing of the same length. In this way, pretension of the present invention can be realized more efficiently.

Abstract: The invention is a device for coupling and releasing the wrist strap to/from the handgrip of a pole for sporting activities, comprising: a buckle associated with the wrist strap; a seat obtained in the handgrip to house the buckle; means for coupling the buckle comprising an elastic tab that projects from the body of the buckle and a support surface obtained in the seat that cooperate by mutual contact when the buckle is constrained to the handgrip; means for coupling the buckle that can be maneuvered by the user. Abstract: The invention relates to a personal document in the form of a book, comprising a book cover, a multi-layered personalised side which contains personalised data, in addition to inner pages. The personalised side and the inner pages are secured by means of a seam to the book cover. The multi-layered personalizing side is provided with a central area which is made of a textile layer which is joined on both sides to a thermoplastic layer which covers the central area until the projecting end. A RFID element comprising an IC element is integrated into the central area for the contactless transfer of biometric data of the personal document owner. The personalised side is sewn by means of a seam in the region of the projecting end.
