Abstract: A simplified sheet sensor and registration gate for feeding print media sheets from a stack loaded by a user into a receptacle on a photocopier. The gate is pivoted on the mechanism and has a flag attached; and, upon user loading of sheets into the receptacle, the gate is pivoted against a locking arm and the flag is moved to actuate an optic sensor that sheets have been loaded. The locking arm is pivoted on the nudger roll arm and unlocks the gate when the nudger roll is moved down to contact the top sheet in the stack. When the sheet receptacle is unloaded, the gate is pivoted by gravity to the downward position and the locking arm pivots by gravity to reset. If the nudger is raised for sheet jam clearance, the locking arm is pivoted to clear the gate, allowing the gate to drop. The locking resets by gravity.

Abstract: In order to separate printing plates and intermediate layers present in pairs, suckers having a delimiting device are known which, on the basis of the different flexibility of intermediate layers and printing plates, permit these to be separated from one another. For particularly thin intermediate layers, this configuration reaches its limits. Accordingly, by moving a suction element slowly downward at a speed V1 from a second position at a distance from the printing plate stack, accurate gripping of an intermediate layer by the suction element can be ensured. This is improved substantially further in particular as a result of the fact that the suction element is moved slowly toward the stack surface by the intermediate steps in a range from 0.25 mm to 0.5 mm.

Examples of the contact systems include a surface with one set of pads biased at a first voltage level, and another set of pads biased at a second voltage level. Such a contact system can be used, for example, to transfer power to an electromechanical device disposed thereon. In one particular example, the electromechanical device can include a power storage element and two or more couplings. When one of the couplings contacts a pad biased at the first voltage level, and another of the couplings contacts a pad biased at the second voltage level, a circuit is completed where some derivative of the differential between the first voltage level and the second voltage level is placed across the power storage element. Completion of the circuit causes the power storage element to charge. Power can be drawn from the power storage element to operate the electromechanical device.

Abstract: A tool-bit holder (10) for varying tool-bit shank profiles comprising a hub (12) having a longitudinal bore (28) adapted for receiving a tool-bit shank (66, 70, 80). The hub (12) has a plurality of radial slots (38) communicating with the first section (30) of the longitudinal bore (28). The tool-bit holder (10) has a collar (14) fixedly attached to the hub (12) adjacent the open (29) and disposed annularly about the hub (12). A sleeve (16) is axially slideably mounted and disposed annularly about the hub (12). The sleeve (16) has a plurality of radial bores (48), each being in communication with a respective radial slot (38) of the hub (12) with a detent ball (18) disposed within each. A spring (20) is provided for biasing the sleeve (16) towards the open end (29) wherein the detent ball (18) engages an inner ramp face (46) of the collar (14).

Contiguous sections of the recreational board arc coupled together by one or more bridges which provide the structural integrity generally equivalent to an integral one piece recreational board. The bridges may be latched by an integral or separate latch mechanism. In accordance with one aspect of the invention, the multiple-section recreational boards are relatively easily disassembled and reassembled and are relatively less complex to manufacture than known multiple-section recreational boards.

Abstract: An accumulation/disposal bin includes a container body with an upper opening. A lid is mounted on a hinge on the forward wall of the body, to pivot about an axis proximate the upper opening. The lid pivots about the forward edge of the opening, allowing a lock to be formed on the rear edge of the lid. Edge mounted wheels may further be located proximate the rear bottom of the container, diagonally across from the hinge. The bin may further include a lifting slot on the rear wall. A handle may be formed proximate the upper opening on the rear the bin. The lid may comprise a downwardly sloped ramp extending from an opening in a horizontal plane to beneath a portion of the lid that at least partially covers this horizontal plane. The ramp and the covering portion of the lid define first and second slots each in a generally vertical plane. The second slot provides an entrance to an interior of the container body.

Abstract: A device for stabilizing and supporting wheelbarrows which maintains the balance and increases the resistance of a system (wheelbarrow) including an angled monolithic body which is made up of two arms which define a triangular shape, whose ends have holes for the insertion of affixing means to affix to the leg of a wheelbarrow. In one embodiment, one of said arms makes up an arched area along most of its length which generates two points of support, a first point of support defined on the end of the joint affixing with the leg of the wheelbarrow and a second point of support defined in the area near where the two arms meet to define that angle. The arched area of the arm, positioned substantially horizontally and defining the two points of support, absorbs deformation, and also absorbs the load applied to the element, bringing more stability to the wheelbarrow on flat or irregular surfaces, providing a stabilizer comprised by each leg.
