Abstract: An electrical mudline system that includes a turbine-type power generation assembly that can be lowered by wireline and installed at the seabed or mudline. A generator may be installed on a wellhead for support and located on a lower part of the generation assembly or may be installed through a tree if a cap on the tree is removed. A frame is included to provide additional support for the generation assembly and protect the turbine blades on the periphery of the turbine. The turbine rotates in response to water currents and thereby rotates a shaft coupled to the turbine to generate electrical power. The electrical power is generated local to the well to power various types of equipment at the well or in the vicinity of the well.

Abstract: A vertical propeller system for capturing wind energy includes a coupling module coupled to a drive shaft to impart rotational energy to the drive shaft. The drive shaft rotates about a substantially vertical main axis. A first blade couples to the coupling module and rotates about a first blade axis. The first blade progresses through a first continuous, repeating sequence of first blade orientations, which include a first substantially vertical orientation and a first substantially horizontal orientation. The first substantially vertical orientation presents a maximal cross-section to a wind stream, the wind stream having a wind direction. The first substantially horizontal orientation presents a minimal cross-section to the wind stream. The first blade revolves around the coupling module in response to the wind stream, based on the first blade orientation, imparting rotational energy to the coupling module.

Abstract: A collection of different sets of apparatus for holding vehicle accessories and joining them to differently configured vehicle cargo sockets. Due to the diversity of extant cargo socket constructions, even within a single vehicle, no single set of apparatus suffices to join an accessory to a socket. Therefore, to serve the singular purpose of joining an accessory to a vehicle cargo socket, multiple different connections are required. The difficulty of providing accessory connections is further exacerbated by the fact that socket constructions change from manufacturer to manufacturer; from model to model; and from year to year. Therefore, a collection of different sets of connections is required. Otherwise, an ongoing multitude of patents would be required to satisfy a single purpose. Thus, the present invention is a collection of different sets of apparatus, all having a singular purpose of joining accessories to vehicles.

Each of a series of tarpaulin-supporting, parallel bows has sliders at each end riding into a pair of funnel-shaped channels having their flat bases vertically secured to the upper inside lateral wall sections of the compartment. The spacing between the bases of the channels is lesser than the total length of a bow and its sliders and provides a degree of play in order to accommodate slight variations in the width of said compartment, and allow for self-centering of the cover. The shape of the channels allows for the placement of the cover retraction mechanisms such as cables and sliders within the outer periphery of the container, reducing bulk. The second subsection is arranged between the first subsection and a third subsection, and is mounted to the central hub portion of the third section and the first second and third subsections are rotatably displaceable about an axis of rotation that is parallel to the direction of displacement (C). A blocking device includes a toothed portion complimentarily engaged with a spacer device on the third subsection and having a resilient member preventing engagement of the toothed portion by the spacer device when the first subsection is not subjected to the application of the predetermined force, and also controls movement of the first subsection counter to a direction of displacement.
