Abstract: In a method for producing a circuit board element, the following steps are provided: providing a substantially whole-area carrier having an adhesive surface; arranging and fixing a starting material of the circuit board element to be produced on the adhesive surface of the carrier; producing the circuit board element fixed on the carrier in a position fixed on the carrier; and removing the produced circuit board element from the carrier. Furthermore, a carrier for use in such a method is provided, wherein it is possible, in particular, to dispense with complex steps for separating or singulating circuit board elements and, with conservation of resources as a result of reusability of a carrier, it is possible to obtain cost savings in the production of circuit board elements.

Abstract: Environmental control systems and techniques for monitoring heat exchanger fouling are provided herein. In an embodiment, a technique for monitoring heat exchanger fouling includes providing a correlation of heat exchanger fouling to an operating variable. The correlation is programmed into a maintenance system that includes a processor that is adapted to receive data regarding the operating variable. The operating variable is chosen from inlet temperatures of input streams into the heat exchanger and outlet temperatures of output streams out of the heat exchanger, heat exchanger pressure drop, overall heat transfer coefficient value, speed of rotation of an air conditioning machine that includes the heat exchanger, and combinations thereof. Data regarding the operating variable is gathered via a sensor that is adapted to measure the operating variable. The measured operating variable is determined to correspond to excessive heat exchanger fouling in accordance with the correlation using the processor.

Two third bent sections respectively extend from two sides of the third extension arm. Two fourth bent sections respectively extend from two sides of the fourth extension arm. At least one locating hole is formed at a free end of each of the first, second, third and fourth extension arms, which free end is distal from the main body. By means of the first, second, third and fourth bent sections, the structural strengths of the extension arms are greatly increased.

Abstract: This invention relates to a thermal interface device (206) arranged to provide a thermal coupling interface between a heat-generating unit (202) and a heat-removing unit (204), comprising a liner layer (210), which has opposite first and second surfaces (218,220), at least the first surface being a slide surface, and which is provided with multiple perforations (212); and a thermal connection layer (208), which is engaged with the liner layer at the second surface (220) thereof, and which is one of elastically and inelastically deformable. The thermal interface device has an idle state where the perforations are open, and an active state where the perforations are filled with a part of the thermal connection layer. The thermal connection layer is arranged to be deformed by the thermal interface device being subjected to a compression force exceeding a deformation threshold, and thereby to fill the perforations.

Abstract: A machine including an engine cooling system, a secondary system with a low-temperature limit, and a secondary cooling system. A temperature sensor is associated with the secondary cooling system. The temperature sensor senses the secondary cooling system temperature and provides a temperature signal. A control valve has an open position allowing fluid communication between the engine cooling system and the secondary cooling system, and a closed position disallowing fluid communication. A controller receives signals from the secondary system temperature sensor and commands the control valve to open when the secondary cooling system temperature is below the low-temperature limit.

Abstract: A collet system is disabled from gaining profile support when moved between profiles that will be used ultimately to support an inner string at a desired plurality of locations. It is when the collet reaches a desired location that it is unlocked by virtue of inner string movement so that a profile on the outer assembly is engaged by a sleeve to induce relative rotation of the sleeve with respect to the mandrel that supports the sleeve. The relative rotation moves a tab into alignment with a slot to permit relative axial movement between the mandrel and the tool so that the tool can function as intended. The sleeve is engaged by another profile for further relative rotation to misalign the tab and the slot to lock the tool. The tool is preferably a support collet for a crossover in a multi-zone gravel pack.

Abstract: The present invention is a tubing centralizer for use within casing within a wellbore. The tubing centralizer has a tubing centralizer cage comprising a top ring, a middle ring, and a bottom ring and a plurality of springs, where each spring connects the top ring to the middle ring and the middle ring to the bottom ring and where each spring has a double arcuate shape such that the springs arc radially outward between the top ring and the middle ring and again between the middle ring and the bottom ring. The springs may be sized such that they exert outward pressure against the inside wall of the casing such that the tubing centralizer resists movement along the casing. The tubing centralizer may further comprise a tubing centralizer mandrel, where the tubing centralizer mandrel is part of the tubing string and extends through the tubing centralizer cage.

Abstract: A downhole device with compressive layer at the surface thereof. Such devices may be particularly well suited for survivability in the face of potentially long term exposure to a downhole environment. Techniques for forming protective compressive layers at the surfaces of such devices may include positioning devices within a chamber for bombardment by high frequency particles. As a manner of enhancing the compressive layer thickness and effectiveness, low temperature conditions may be applied to the device during the high frequency treatment.
