Publication number: 20140125002Abstract: A sheet feeding portion is provided with a pair of separation rollers that include a feed roller which conveys the sent sheet and a retard roller which applies a rotation force to return the sheet in a direction opposite to a sheet feeding direction through a torque limiter in a state of being pressed against the feed roller. The sheet feeding portion further includes a rotation transmitting mechanism that transmits a rotation of the retard roller, at the time of sending the sheet to the sheet feeding direction, to the pickup roller and a changing mechanism that switches a retard pressure, which allows the retard roller to be pressed against the feed roller, according to a reaction force that is transmitted to the retard roller from the pickup roller.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2013Publication date: May 8, 2014Applicant: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Toshifumi Itabashi

Publication number: 20140125004Abstract: A paper conveying device includes an intermediate transfer member and a paper conveying member driven so as to rotate at the same rotational speed, and an adjusting device. On an outer peripheral surface of the intermediate transfer member, an elastic layer is provided. An axes distance between the intermediate transfer member and the paper conveying member is adjusted by the adjusting device so that drive torque for rotating the intermediate transfer member and the paper conveying member at the same rotational speed becomes smaller than a target set value. Accordingly, occurrence of the shear is suppressed without changing a rotational speed ratio of rollers arranged opposite to each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2013Publication date: May 8, 2014Applicant: Konica Minolta, Inc.Inventors: Takeshi MAEYAMA, Hirofumi Nakagawa

Publication number: 20140125005Abstract: A sheet stacking portion is provided in a sheet storing portion in which sheets are stored. The sheet stacking portion is suspended by a wire which is wound up and wound off. The sheet stacking portion is raised and lowered by winding up and winding off the wire. Then, when the wire is in a slack state, a fixing portion fixes the sheet stacking portion to the sheet storing portion. When the wire is in a tensioned state, the fixing of the sheet stacking portion is released.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 1, 2013Publication date: May 8, 2014Applicant: CANON KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Akira MATSUSHIMA, Takaaki Kawade

Publication number: 20140125006Abstract: A sheet processing apparatus of an aspect of the present invention includes stack trays provided with alignment members for applying an alignment process to sheets. At the time of discharging sheets, in a case where a sheet is already stacked on a first stack tray that has been decided on as a discharge destination for a sheet to be discharged, the sheet processing apparatus determines whether or not the width of the sheet to be discharged matches the width of the already-stacked sheet. In a case where the widths of the sheets do not match, a discharge destination for the sheet to be discharged is changed to a second stack tray.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2013Publication date: May 8, 2014Applicant: CANON KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventor: Yuzo Harano
