Abstract: A method and an apparatus are disclosed for monitoring the state of a roller bearing. The apparatus includes a vibration sensor, configured to detect vibrations which occur during operation of the bearing, and to generate a first signal as a function of the detected vibrations. A diagnosis electronics system is configured to output an item of information about a state of the bearing on the basis of the first signal and at least one limit value stored in the diagnosis electronics system. A sound emission sensor is provided, configured to pick up noises, produced in the event of plastic deformation of the bearing at least in regions. A second signal is then transmitted to the diagnosis electronics system, taking into account the picked-up noises.

  • Publication number: 20140123764
Abstract: A new type of optical pressure sensor with adjustable sensitivity is proposed based on the fiber Bragg grating (FBG). In this technique, the pressure changes the length of a metal bellows which is placed behind a spring. The fiber grating is fixed over the bellows between a fixed position and the connection point of bellows and spring. The wavelength change of FBG is caused by the change in the bellows length; however, the spring controls the total length expansion of the bellows. It will bring two benefits: first it is easy to change the pressure sensing range by changing the spring rate; and secondly the spring improves the linearity of the wavelength sift due to the pressure. The FBG is installed outside of the bellows and is not in contact with the material in which the pressure should be measured (gas or liquid) in contrast with other pressure sensors where the FBG is inside the bellows.

Abstract: An automatic analyzer uses probes for detecting liquid levels based on a capacitance detection method. Erroneous detection of liquid levels due to interference caused by the frequency difference of oscillators is reducted. When frequencies f1 and f2 of respective detector ocillators, which are originally equal to each other, are different by approximately several Hz from each other due to a manufacturing variation, oscillation waveforms are added to liquid level detection voltages, causing a premature determination that the probes have contacted the liquid surface before actual contact therewith. By setting the difference between the frequencies f1 and f2 of the detector oscillators to be in the range of several kHz, an oscillation waveform corresponding to the difference between the frequencies is added to the detection voltages, but the amplitude values of the high-frequency components are attenuated by high-frequency attenuators, thereby ensuring accuracy in the liquid level detection.

Abstract: An infinitely variable transmission (IVT) to provide a continuous output-to-input speed ratio from zero to a certain value is designed, and its working principle is illustrated. It is a geared IVT (GIVT), since its function to achieve the continuously varied speed ratio is implemented by gears. Crank-slider systems are used in the GIVT; the output-to-input speed ratio is changed with the crank length. Racks and pinions, whose motion is controlled by planetary gear sets, are used to change the crank length when the cranks are rotating. One-way bearings are used to rectify the output speeds from different crank-slider systems to obtain the output speed of the GIVT. Since the crank-slider systems can introduce variations of the instantaneous speed ratio, a pair of noncircular gears is designed to minimize the variations. Abstract: A gear transmission device includes a first external gear driven by a drive motor attached to a first side of a frame and a first internal gear driven by the first external gear. The first internal gear includes an outer cylinder portion, an end plate, an annular opening, and an inner cylinder portion including a shaft hole,. The outer cylinder portion includes internal teeth formed on an inner circumferential surface thereof. The inner cylinder portion is formed concentrically inside the outer cylinder portion. The end plate connects the outer cylinder portion, the inner cylinder portion, and the shaft hole at one end in an axial direction. In a state in which the annular opening faces a second side of the frame opposite the first side thereof, the first external gear is inserted to the annular opening to mesh with the internal teeth of the outer cylinder portion.

Abstract: An integrated apparatus for detecting a gear shifting is provide that has a switch and a gear shifting detection controller for detecting a sports mode of a vehicle that are integrally implemented. The apparatus is configured to detect whether the mode is converted in to the sports mode based on a non-contact recognition manner. Therefore, production and assembly processes are simplified for providing the gear shifting detection controller and the switch to a gear shifting detection configuration, thereby reducing production costs, minimizing noise generated when a general gear shifting mode is converted into the sports mode, or the sports mode is converted into the general gear shifting mode. In addition, a lifespan of the switch configured to detect whether the mode is converted into the sports mode is increased.

Abstract: A system for locking a Park device in a transmission in an out-of-Park mode of operation includes a valve body that defines a bore, a solenoid connected to the valve body, a lock feature disposed in the valve body and interconnected with the solenoid, and a servo piston disposed within the bore of the valve body. The servo piston has a detent and the servo piston is interconnected to the Park device and is moveable between a first position and a second position. The detent is radially aligned with the lock feature when the servo piston is in the first position. Activation of the solenoid locks the lock feature into the detent of the servo piston to lock the Park device of the transmission in the no-Park mode.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing an alloy recycled material by effectively removing carbon from a carbon-containing alloy, which is produced as scrap or sludge of an R—Fe—B based permanent magnet, a used magnet, or the like. The method of the present invention as a means for resolution is characterized in that a carbon-containing R—Fe—B based permanent magnet alloy is subjected to an HDDR treatment to remove carbon. An alloy recycled material produced by the method of the present invention contains a reduced amount of carbon. Therefore, in the case where it is recycled for the production of a magnet, even when an increased amount is subjected to high-frequency heating in a vacuum melting furnace, a non-negligible increase in the amount of carbon contained in the produced magnet can be avoided.
