  • Patent number: 8779240
Abstract: According to the invention, there is provided a novel romaine lettuce cultivar, designated Rocky Row. ‘Rocky Row’ is described as a vigorous romaine cultivar recommended for the main lettuce growing regions of California for the spring sowing. It has lighter plant weight, long core length, tall plant height, long leaf length, with resistance to Tomato bushy Stunt virus, and lettuce downy mildew. This invention thus relates to the seeds of lettuce cultivar Rocky Row, to the plants of lettuce cultivar Rocky Row, to plant parts of lettuce cultivar Rocky Row, to methods for producing a lettuce cultivar by crossing the lettuce cultivar Rocky Row with another lettuce cultivar, and to methods for producing a lettuce cultivar containing in its genetic material one or more backcross conversion traits or transgenes and to the backcross conversion lettuce plants and plant parts produced by those methods.

Abstract: A reduced-friction pad is positioned between a tremolo and a guitar body. The pad substantially prevents direct contact between the tremolo and the guitar body, and reduces friction produced when the tremolo is pivoted or moved. The result is a tremolo which more reliably returns to its original position. The guitar also includes a roller block for accommodating a guitar string. The block includes a chamber which houses at least one low-friction shim, and a low-friction roller, the shim and roller being held within the chamber by a snap spring. The roller block can be implemented at either or both ends of the guitar, and can also be installed on a tremolo. The roller block reduces friction on the string, and enables the guitar to be more reliably tuned.

  • Patent number: 8779272
Abstract: In the present invention, a click sound corresponding to key depression speed is generated, and the production timings of fundamental and harmonic components respectively corresponding to each footage are changed to vary from one another in accordance with a wait time, whereby the fundamental and the harmonic components to be synthesized by additive synthesis are changed to differ from one another. Next, a click sound corresponding to key release speed is generated, and the stop timings of the fundamental and harmonic components are changed to vary from one another in accordance with a wait time, whereby the fundamental and the harmonic components to be muted are changed to differ from one another. Accordingly, by the click sound being mixed with the drawbar sound having these slight tone changes, a unique drawbar sound such as that generated by the sound producing mechanism of an actual drawbar organ is generated.
