    Abstract: Some of the embodiments described herein relate to liner elements such as lifter bars that can be used in grinding mills. In one example, a lifter bar has a top elastomeric layer and a bottom elastomeric layer, the composition of the top elastomeric layer being different from that of the bottom elastomeric layer. In another example, a lifter bar is constructed from carbon black-reinforced natural rubber and has a leading face and a protrusion at a top region of the leading face. In a further example, a lifter bar is fabricated from carbon black-reinforced natural rubber and has a leading face geometry such that face angle ? remains 25° or less over an operational period measured form the time the lifter bar is new, until the height of the lifter bar is reduced by a certain amount, e.g., by 80%. Also disclosed are methods for manufacturing an elastomeric liner element and for grinding an ore.

In a state where an engagement piece is positioned on the outside of the open portion, the switch pawl is rotated about a shaft to cause the engagement piece to enter in a window portion, so, a distal end of the engagement piece, bent in a hook shape, faces to a regulation wall in an axial direction of the shaft. It is not necessary to elastically deform the engagement piece when bringing the regulation wall and the engagement piece into facing. Therefore, the engagement allowance in the engagement piece with the regulation wall can be enlarged and the distal end of the engagement piece can be prevented from crossing over the regulation wall and moving toward the shaft side.

    Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide an apparatus configured to automatically retrieve, service, and launch an aircraft. For retrieval, the aircraft drops a weighted cable, and pulls it at low relative speed into a broad aperture of the apparatus. In certain instances, the cable is dragged along guiding surfaces of the apparatus into and through a slot until its free end is captured. The aircraft becomes anchored to the apparatus, and is pulled downward by the cable into a receptacle. Guiding surfaces of the receptacle adjust the position and orientation of a probe on the aircraft, directing the probe to mate with a docking fixture of the apparatus. Once mated, the aircraft is automatically shut down and serviced. When desired, the aircraft is automatically started and tested in preparation for launch, and then released into free flight. A full ground-handling cycle is thus accomplished with a simple, economical apparatus.

    Abstract: For retrieval of a hovering aircraft, a cable, bar, or similar fixture is suspended in an approximately horizontal orientation across the retrieval area between two well-separated supports. The aircraft slowly flies into this fixture, which then slides along the aircraft in a direction approximately parallel with the aircraft's thrust line. This leads to the aircraft becoming fastened to the fixture by an interceptor or aircraft capturer, which in alternative embodiments are respectively on the aircraft or the fixture or both. Thrust is then reduced, and the aircraft comes to rest hanging from the fixture for subsequent removal. Retrieval is thus accomplished with simple and economical apparatus, light and unobtrusive elements on the aircraft, low risk of damage, and only moderate piloting accuracy.
