Abstract: The invention relates to an optical system for lighting applications, fundamentally formed by a light source and a reflector, essentially with axial symmetry, the inner face thereof containing a complex surface formed by a plurality of microstructures with the particularity of being arranged in a specific distribution, according to a concrete parameterisation, and with a particular division of the surface space (tessellated), which allows a suitable destruction of the image projected from the actual light source, and provides a uniform and well-defined pattern of the projected light. The reflector can have an edge-free inner surface at the join between adjacent micro-structures, such that it reduces the optical losses and the light dispersion. There can also be a local regulation of the form and orientation between adjacent micro-structures by means of deformation, translation and/or rotation, which allows better control of the projected light and enables light patterns without axial symmetry.

Abstract: The present invention provides a gas combustor having detachable combustion device, which includes: a housing having the interior installed with a base, and a combustion device. When the combustion device is inserted in an insertion slot of the housing, the upstream end of a mix pipe of the combustion device is airtightly inserted in a sleeve opening of the base, and a pair of locking sheets of the combustion device are moved along a pair of stopping protrusions of the housing and cross the pair of stopping protrusions, so a first spring between a lock button and a positioning seat of the combustion device is allowed to respectively be compressed for storing energy or stretched for releasing energy, and the pair of locking sheets are enabled to be abutted against inner edges of the pair of stopping protrusions, so an interference is generated for forming a locking and combining status.

Abstract: A burner includes a casing that encloses an outer plenum, the casing forming a fuel inlet and an outer nozzle at its end. An inner tube extends generally concentrically through the outer plenum and forms an inner plenum such that the casing encloses the outer plenum and the inner plenum. The inner tube forms an inner nozzle at its end. The inner nozzle is disposed generally concentrically with respect to the outer nozzle. A valve arrangement adjusts a fuel velocity separately through each of the outer nozzle and the inner nozzle to shape a flame created when the fuel is provided in an oxidant rich environment.

Abstract: The invention relates to a water heating device, comprising a burner (20) and a flame current measuring device (100) for measuring a flame current, which measuring device comprises two electrodes and a voltage source (14), wherein each of the poles (18, 19) of the voltage source is connected to one of the electrodes. The water heating device further comprises a heat exchanger (40) which is electrically insulated relative to the burner. The burner and the heat exchanger here form the electrodes of the flame current measuring device. The heat exchanger functioning as electrode can be earthed (41). The measured flame current can be used to determine the excess air factor of the combustion. The water heating device can further comprise an air/fuel controller for controlling the air/fuel ratio, wherein the air/fuel controller uses the determined excess air factor to control the air/fuel ratio. The invention also relates to a method for measuring a flame current in a flame.

A distributed fuel control system may comprise a controller, a fuel delivery system, and fuel delivery system sensors and combustion sensors. The controller may output a control signal in response to at least one of the fuel delivery system sensor or the combustion sensors. In response, the fuel flow to individual multiplex fuel delivery unit may be controlled according to various methods. One such method includes determining a desired fuel pressure differential, directing a torque motor to set a pressure regulator to a position corresponding to the desired fuel pressure differential, determining a sensed fuel pressure differential, and adjusting the torque motor in response to a difference between the sensed fuel pressure differential and the desired fuel pressure differential.

Abstract: Disclosed is a fireplace apparatus having a remote automatic control function. The fireplace apparatus is capable of automatically controlling opening and closing of an air supply passage mounted below a combustion chamber corresponding to a detected temperature of the fireplace, displaying information related to an ignition state, a key selection state, a heating power setting state and key buttons for key selection, preventing foreign materials from being adhered to an electric heating member by a cover, and enabling a user to carry out remote ignition control, air amount control and temperature setting at a remote location. Accordingly, initial ignition can be stably achieved and the air supply amount is automatically controlled corresponding to the temperature of the combustion chamber. A user can achieve remote ignition or ignition reservation, and ignition and combustion are carried out at an optimum time according to the indoor temperature and time for returning home.
