Publication number: 20160097013Abstract: Disclosed is a new PSA cycle that treats N2-contaminated natural gas at relatively high pressure, and yields a first product enriched in less strongly adsorbed components such as, for example, N2, and others (e.g., helium=He), and a second product that is enriched in more-strongly adsorbed components including, for example, CH4 and others (e.g., ethane=C2H6). The new PSA cycle is characterized by: low power consumption and low adsorbent mass, and therefore relatively small adsorbers. Briefly, a five-adsorber, PSA process separates a gas mixture into a first gas product, which is enriched in a first less-strongly adsorbed component, and a second gas product, which is enriched in more-strongly adsorbed components. The second gas product may be obtained by combining effluents obtained from a series of discrete steps.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 19, 2013Publication date: April 7, 2016Applicant: KENT S. Publication number: 20160097014Abstract: The present invention relates to a preparation method of a lube base oil including a conversion of biomass fat to a fatty acid; a separation of a C18 unsaturated fatty acid from the fatty acid; a maximization of an oleic acid content through partial hydrotreating of the C18 unsaturated fatty acid; a synthesis of a dimer or higher-order oligomer through an oligomerization of the oleic acid; and an esterification of the oligomer, and relates to a lube base oil prepared therefrom. The lube base oil of the present invention contains an x-type diester dimer and has an excellent low-temperature stability and a high biodegradability resulting from its chemical structure, thus being ecofriendly.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 7, 2015Publication date: April 7, 2016Inventors: Hee Jung Jeon, Yong Woo Kim

Publication number: 20160097016Abstract: The present invention provides a dialkyl polysulfide which can be suitably used as an extreme pressure additive that can be added to a lubricant in a wide range of amounts, that enables effective formation of a film of a metal sulfide on a metal surface, and that is less likely to cause corrosion of the metal surface. In particular, provided is a dialkyl polysulfide containing compounds represented by General Formula (1) (where R1 and R2 each represent an alkyl group, and n is an integer from 1 to 6), wherein the total content of a compound in which n in General Formula (1) is 2 and a compound in which n in General Formula (1) is 3 is in the range of 80 to 100 mass % relative to the entire amount of the compounds represented by General Formula (1).Type: ApplicationFiled: May 15, 2014Publication date: April 7, 2016Applicant: DIC CORPORATIONInventors: Takafumi Iba, Hiroshi Sakata
