Abstract: The present invention concerns a system for contactless determination of the position and orientation of a first mobile object (M) relative to a reference mark (RP) carried by a second fixed or mobile object (P), in a disturbed electromagnetic environment comprising a transmitting antenna (E) with ferromagnetic cores (E-1) having magnetic permeability higher than 10, incorporating sensors (E-3) for measuring the magnetic field Xu actually emitted by the axes of the ferromagnetic cores. A means (4-4) for extracting the signal correlated with the ambient noise XBR (Tk-KbTc)—from the sensors (Sb) fixed in the platform (P), forms, with measurement Xu of the emitted magnetic induction, a complete model of the measured fields, making it possible to extract, without errors, the six parameters relative to the field model without disturbances.

Abstract: The disclosed herein is a computer-implemented route planning method which comprises of determining source and destination nodes in a graph data structure based on a route planning query, wherein the graph data structure represents a road network, identifying a plurality of locations on the road network for refilling or recharging of a vehicle, executing an initial graph search on the graph data structure using graph costs based on real-time traffic data, wherein the initial graph search starts at the source node and settles nodes until it stops, computing one or more routes to the destination node from one or more of said settled nodes using pre-computed data based on traffic prediction data, thereby to determine a route from the source node to the destination node via one of said settled nodes. Furthermore, the method comprises of estimating the refilling or recharging time of a vehicle while planning a route.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a map application that receives a starting location and a destination location. The application then identifies several different transit routes from the starting location to the destination location based on a set of transit preferences. Each transit route includes a set of transit legs each of which is serviced by a different transit line. In some embodiments, the application ranks the identified transit routes based on a set of criteria, and displays a representation of a highest ranked transit route over a portion of a map presentation along with a set of information about the displayed transit route.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided in order to define the road geometry based upon a plurality of probe points. In the context of a method, a seed point is determined that is representative of one or more probe points. The method determines the seed point by determining a weighted center of mass of the one or more probe points. The method also includes determining an orientation representative of one or more probe points proximate the seed point and creating a polyline representative of the road geometry. In this regard, the method creates the polyline by extending the polyline in the orientation from the seed point.

Two or more road locations are determined as possible locations corresponding to the GPS location in a physical network of a set of roads. A first portion of a virtual network is built, by a computer processor, by expanding the virtual network from a node representing a prior road location to the two or more candidate road locations. Abstract: In one embodiment, navigational features of a navigation device are activated or deactivated according to the accuracy of the geographic data. The navigation features may be predictive features related to upcoming portions of a path curve. The path curve is compared to measured data. For example, a first curve is accessed from a map database and a second curve is based on measured position data collected while traversing the path. The first curve and the second curve correspond to the same geographic area. A difference of an attribute between a section of the first curve and a section of the second curve is used to assign a confidence factor to the section of the first polycurve based on the difference. Abstract: A system includes a plurality of servers in a server rack and a plurality of baseboard management controllers (BMCs), each associated with a respective server from the plurality of servers. The system further includes a rack management controller (RMC). A first BMC of a first server determines component types of hardware components in the first server, determines a quantity of each of the component types in the first server, determines a first weight information of the first server based on the component types and the quantity of each of the component types, and sends to the RMC the first weight information. The RMC determines a weight of other components in the server rack, and calculates a loaded rack weight of the server rack based on the first weight information and the weight of other components.

Abstract: A container weight notification system including a monitoring unit. The monitoring unit includes a housing maintaining a weighing device, a microcontroller, and an alert device. The weighing device signals information indicative of a current weight of a container associated with the housing to the microcontroller. The microcontroller is programmed to prompt the alert device to generate a notification based upon a comparison of the current weight information with a maximum weight value and a minimum weight value, for example as a calculated ratio. Notifications are optionally delivered (wired or wirelessly) by the microcontroller to a remote computing device operating a notification application. The monitoring unit can be separate from the product container or integrally formed with the container.

Abstract: A transient grating (TG) is used as an optical gating element with sub-picosecond time resolution for luminescence measurements from a photo-detector array. The transient grating is formed in a gate medium by one or more pulsed gate beams. For photoluminescence measurements such as photoluminescence spectroscopy or imaging, a source is excited by a pulsed excitation beam, and the pulsed gate beams are synchronized to the pulsed excitation beam with an adjustable delay between the excitation of the source and the formation of the TG. Moreover, a source or its spectra can be imaged at two different regions of the photo-detector array at two different times spaced in time by a selected duration of time with sub-picosecond resolution over a range of a nanosecond or more. A beam from the source is deflected to the different regions by changing the frequency or geometry of the pulsed gate beams.

Abstract: The imaging device includes a pixel array and first to seventh circuits. The first and second circuits select a pixel in the pixel array. The third circuit performs difference calculation between imaging data of the first frame and the second frame in the selected pixels. The fourth and the fifth circuits output addresses of the row and column of the pixels which has been subjected to the difference calculation. A row address and a column address for determining a specific region of the pixel array are stored in the sixth circuit. The seventh circuit compares coordinates included in the specific region with coordinates of pixels where a difference is detected. If the coordinates of the pixels where a difference is detected are included in the specific region which has been stored in the sixth circuit, imaging data is obtained again and is output to the external devices.

Abstract: Methods and systems for spectrometer dark correction are described which achieve more stable baselines, especially towards the edges where intensity correction magnifies any non-zero results of dark subtraction, and changes in dark current due to changes in temperature of the camera window frame are typically more pronounced. The resulting induced curvature of the baseline makes quantitation difficult in these regions. Use of the invention may provide metrics for the identification of system failure states such as loss of camera vacuum seal, drift in the temperature stabilization, and light leaks. In system aspects of the invention, a processor receives signals from a light detector in the spectrometer and executes software programs to calculate spectral responses, sum or average results, and perform other operations necessary to carry out the disclosed methods. In most preferred embodiments, the light signals received from a sample are used for Raman analysis.
