Abstract: A resistance sensing mechanism includes a resistance adjusting unit including a holder frame, a locating sleeve disposed above the holder frame, an adjustment screw rod rotatably inserted through the locating sleeve and a first screw nut threaded onto a first thread segment of the adjustment screw rod and pivotally connected to the holder frame, and a sensor unit including a linkage pivotally connected to the holder frame, a second screw nut threaded onto a second thread segment of the adjustment screw rod and pivotally connected to the linkage, a sensor mounted at one of the holder frame and the linkage and a sensible member mounted at the other of the holder frame and the linkage to face toward the sensor. Subject to the relative movement between the first and second screw nuts, the holder frame and the linkage relatively biased to change the distance between the sensor and sensible member.

Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling application of horizontal resistive force to a user walking on a treadmill to provide substantially constant force even if the user changes his or her relative position on the treadmill. The systems and methods can improve the user experience when force is applied while also improving user safety. The system has a cable, a motor, and a system controller. The cable can be coupled to a harness to apply a horizontal resistive force to a treadmill user, and the motor can be coupled to the cable and configured to apply a motor force to the cable. The cable can have an adjustable operative length. The system controller can have a processor communicatively coupled to the motor and configured to adjust the force applied by the motor in response to changes in cable length and a measurement of the actual force applied by the cable.

Abstract: A device and method for enhancing swimming exercises which can be used with the swimmer's legs, hands and head. The device can be a closed cell EVA foam sphere having opposite sides formed into concave cavities. The cavities permit a swimmer to position the device between his/her knees and against which the swimmer must apply leg-closing pressure. This causes the swimmer to maintain streamline during the entire pulling phase of the arm movement of the swimming stroke. With the device positioned at the same location, breaststroke kick training can also be enhanced as it causes the swimmer to apply pressure to maintain proper knee distance during kicking. Alternatively, the device can be held in one hand while the other hand is used to implement the particular swim stroke, and the device can be exchanged easily to the other hand. The device can also be placed under the chin during swimming exercises.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to golf balls having improved aerodynamic performance due, at least in part, to the alteration of the dimple surfaces. In particular, the present invention relates to a golf ball that includes at least a portion of its dimples having circular perimeters and dimple profiles having a concentric groove or a non-concentric groove on the surface of the dimple. The golf ball dimples of the present invention provide golf ball surfaces having unique appearances, while maintaining ideal aerodynamic characteristics.

Abstract: Golf balls having a multi-layered core made of a foamed composition are provided. The core assembly preferably includes a foam inner core (center) and surrounding outer core layer. Preferably, a polyurethane foam composition is used to form the foam center. The core layers have different hardness gradients and specific gravity values. The foamed inner core assembly includes a geometric center, outer surface (skin), and thermal barrier layer that helps protect the foamed center region from the negative effects of high temperatures used during the ball-manufacturing process. Non-foamed thermoset materials such as polybutadiene rubber may be used to form the thermal barrier layer. The foam cores have good resiliency, thermal stability, and durability over a wide temperature range. The ball further includes a cover that may be multi-layered.

One or more energy absorbing components are positioned within the internal cavity. A weight component is positioned adjacent to the one or more energy absorbing components within the internal cavity. The weight component is sized to move in a vertical direction and deform the one or more energy absorbing components within the internal cavity in response to movement of the puck.

The golf club head comprises at least one rectangular weight bar disposed within a recessed region on the sole and adjustable within the recessed region. One end of the weight bar is reversibly fixed to the sole with a connection element, while the other end includes an engagement feature that engages a retention feature at the edge of the recessed region. The retention feature provides multiple locations at the edge of the recessed region to which the engagement feature can be fixed, and when the weight bar is in a configuration desired by a golfer, the weight bar can be reversibly secured to the sole and immobilized within the recessed region by tightening the connection element. The weight bar may also include a slidable weight assembly.

Abstract: An eyeball movement detection device (1) detects an eyeball movement of an eye in a side-to-side direction on the basis of a time shift in difference between an output from a far-infrared sensor (11) having directivity to an edge of an exposed surface of an eyeball on the side of the inner corner of the eye and an output from a far-infrared sensor (12) having directivity to an edge of the exposed surface of the eyeball on the side of the outer corner of the eye. This makes it possible to detect an eyeball movement in a noncontact manner, with a light weight, and with low power consumption.

The fragments relationship data structure may associate the first application fragment with the second application fragment based on an analysis of the fragment information that indicates that the second application fragment follows the first application fragment during operation of the mobile game application. The system may stream the second application fragment to the mobile device based on the determination that the second application fragment follows the first application fragment.
