Abstract: The container for easily dispensing contents with an open top end, a closed bottom surface, and sloped side walls. The closed bottom surface being substantially spherical in shape and connected to the side walls by a flexible hinge. When pressure or force is applied to the bottom surface's spherical shape, that bottom surface flexes or bends from a first stable convex position to a second stable concave position. The transition from the convex to concave position can dislodge contents within the container for consumption without the need of a spoon or other devices.

Abstract: An entrainment-reducing assembly may include a container configured to hold a liquid. A venting arrangement may extend into an upper portion of the container and be configured to direct condensable and non-condensable gases into the container. A suction structure may extend into a lower portion of the container and be configured to carry out an extraction of excess liquid from the container caused by condensed gases. A deflector may be disposed between the suction structure and the venting arrangement within the container. As a result, an entrainment of uncondensed gases during the extraction of the liquid by the suction structure may be reduced or prevented, thereby protecting the pump from cavitation and failure.

Abstract: A front operating refuse liner removal system includes a refuse receptacle with an access opening closed by a door. The access opening enables a user to efficiently remove a liner from the receptacle without creating suction between the liner and the receptacle. The door opens by sliding along a track on the inside the receptacle so as not to obstruct the user while removing the liner.

Abstract: A fully automated container handling system for a refuse vehicle is provided that utilizes a vehicle-mounted video camera which feeds video to a cab-mounted monitor to inform a driver of the location of a container of interest enabling accurate alignment of the vehicle. The system is operated by a single button in the cab and includes an extending, pivoting arm with a base equipped with a converging grabber to seize and empty the container. The base that grabs the container includes a sonar transducer that functions with a hydraulic system that operates the arm and grabber using a programmable logic controller (PLC) computer program to run the hydraulic controls.

Abstract: An automated warehouse storage system including a multilevel storage array is provided. Each aisle has a set of storage levels and each level has storage locations distributed along the aisle. The guideway network extending through the multilevel storage array is configured for autonomous vehicles to move along the guideway network within the multilevel storage array. The guideway network including an inter-aisle guideway spanning at least two of the multiple aisles and a set of guideway levels extending in an aisle of the multiple aisles and disposed so that each guideway level is at a different one of the storage levels and the vehicles on the guideway level can access the storage locations distributed along the aisle. Each set of guideway levels is connected to the inter-aisle guideway forming a common guideway path so that a vehicle can move between inter-aisle guideway and each guideway level along the common guideway path.

Abstract: Described are systems, methods, and apparatus for automated item singulation. The system includes a singulation station in which a plurality of different type items may be transitioned onto a singulation table. The singulation table activates and the movement of the singulation table causes the items to de-shingle, separate in distance with respect to one another and migrate along the singulation table toward a pick conveyor. As the de-shingled and singulated items arrive on the pick conveyor they are detected and individually picked by a robotic unit and transitioned from the singulation station.

Abstract: A shipping order allocation apparatus creates a group composed of shipping orders; acquires a time to start picking for the group; acquires blocks where articles included in the group are stored and calculates a total worktime for the picking of the group; determines whether the picking work for the group is completed by the earliest shipping time limit among shipping time limits of the shipping orders in the group, the time to start the picking, and the total worktime for the picking; calculates an evaluation value of the group for which the picking work is determined to be completed by the earliest shipping time limit, based on the blocks storing the articles included in the group; and determines whether to include the group in a result of allocation to groups, based on the evaluation value.
