Abstract: The beam distributor includes a housing, at least one beam entrance, two or more beam exits, a motor, and a beam turning part fixed to a rotary axis member of the motor and changing a direction of a beam input to the inside of the housing through the beam entrance so as to guide the input beam to the beam exit. A rotary axis of the motor is arranged parallel to an optical axis of the beam so as to input the beam to the beam turning part at a constant angle independently of a rotational angle about the rotary axis of the motor. The beam exit is arranged in a direction to which the direction of the beam is changed by the beam turning part in response to rotation of the rotary axis member. A storage stores an angular information recorded in advance about the rotary axis.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a fiber optic connector comprising a housing, a spring, a ferrule assembly and a crimping seat. Before being inserted into the housing, the ferrule assembly is pre-assembled into the crimping seat in a manner of being movable relative to the crimping seat. The spring is pre-assembled into the housing before the ferrule assembly is inserted into the housing. After the pre-assembled ferrule assembly and crimping seat are inserted into the housing, the crimping seat is snap-fitted in the housing, and the spring pushes the ferrule assembly, so that the ferrule assembly is capable of being moved against the spring relative to the crimping seat. Before inserted into a housing of the fiber optic connector, some components may be pre-assembled together to form an integral assembly having a size less than that of a housing of the fiber optic connector. Accordingly, the integral assembly may be smoothly pulled through a small long pipe.

Abstract: A mirror is used to form a beam of laser-radiation having a uniform intensity distribution from a beam of laser-radiation having a non-uniform intensity distribution. The mirror has a reflective surface that has a compound shape, which is two inclined surfaces joined by a rounded apex. The compound-mirror is achromatic and can form a uniform intensity distribution from a polychromatic beam of laser-radiation. The uniform intensity distribution may be an isotropic distribution or a flat-top distribution in a plane. The non-uniform intensity distribution may be a Gaussian distribution from a laser source.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques for dynamically forming an optical component that automatically aligns with and changes positions with a scanning light beam to modify the wave front of the scanning light beam, such as collimating the scanning light beam. More specifically, a patterning beam that aligns with the scanning light beam may be scanned together with the scanning light beam to form the self-aligning and travelling optical component in an electro-optic material layer that is connected in serial with a photoconductive material layer to a voltage source, where the patterning beam optically modulates the impedance of the photoconductive material layer and therefore an electric field within the electro-optic material layer, the modulated electric field causing localized changes of refractive index in the electro-optic material layer to form the self-aligning and travelling optical component.

Abstract: The present application discloses a 3D imaging method and apparatus, which divide a source 3D image light into two polarized light beams carrying image information through a birefringence effect, adjust optical paths of the two polarized light beams obtained through birefringence, and control the two polarized light beams to be alternately irradiated, thereby achieving 3D imaging; since the implementation of the above imaging method only requires one imaging apparatus having corresponding functions, the present application can simplify the system structure and reduce the system cost relative to a conventional 3D projection technology that requires two imaging devices; moreover, a viewer can directly see, with no need to wear corresponding 3D glasses, a 3D image due to the parallax caused by alternate irradiation of two polarized light beams carrying image information out of a projection device. As a result, the investment in configuring 3D glasses can be saved and the system cost is further reduced.
