Abstract: The invention relates to a protective helmet, comprising an outer shell (1) for distributing impact forces and an antenna (2) for transferring a radio signal, which antenna is arranged at least partially inside the outer shell (1). The outer shell (1) consists of a main material in a main region (5). The protective helmet is characterized in that the outer shell (1) consists of a cut-out material in a cut-out region (6), the cut-out material having a lesser damping effect on the radio signal in comparison with the main material. The invention further relates to a method for producing a protective helmet.

Abstract: A helmet comprises a protective shell, a first energy absorbing layer, a second energy absorbing layer and multiple displace devices. The protective shell forms an outer surface of the helmet. The first energy absorbing layer has a first outer surface and a first inner surface. The first inner surface is configured to couple the helmet to a wearer's head. The second energy absorbing layer has a second outer surface and a second inner surface. The second inner surface faces the first outer surface. The multiple displacement devices are positioned at multiple locations between the first energy absorbing layer and the second energy absorbing layer. The displacement devices allow displacement between the first and second energy absorbing layers in response to an oblique impact to the helmet.

Abstract: The innovative aspects of the Impact Dispersing and Friction Dissipating Spring-Mounted Outer Shell Boxing Helmet for Protection Against Long-Term Cumulative Brain Damage are its creation of separation and multiple buffers between the brain and the force generated by punches landing on the wearer's head, its ability to spread the force generated by direct punches over larger surface areas of the head through a spring-mounted impact dispersion system, thereby decreasing the likelihood of highly-concentrated amounts of force causing permanent damage, and the ability of its outer shell to ricochet back and forth when hit with indirect, glancing punches in a way that diverts the energy from such punches from going straight to the wearer's brain by taking advantage of naturally-occurring phenomena such as gravity and friction created by air molecule resistance.

Abstract: Apparatus, systems and methods related to hair ties. In a first illustrative embodiment, a securing apparatus, such as a hair tie, has a middle section formed as an elongated pliable member. At a first end, a fastener body is attached to the elongated pliable member. At a second end, two connection loops may be disposed. In use, the fastener body may be passed through one of the two connection loops to configure the pliable member as a relatively large loop. This relatively large loop may be tightened, by drawing the pliable member further through the loop, until it is drawn tight on material to be retained therein. The pliable member may then be wrapped around the retained material until secured with the fastener body adjacent the connection loops. The fastener body may then be passed through the second connection loop to be retained therein.
