Abstract: A fabric containing nanotubes which is impervious to viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens; which is self-sterilizing and reusable; and a method of producing the same are disclosed. The fabric can be used to construct facemasks, gloves, protective suits, protective habitats, continuous air filtration/sterilization systems or any other type of protective clothing or structure. The fabric may have integrated temperature monitoring sensors. The fabric may be made into patches which may be integrated into existing articles of clothing. When connected to an electrical power source, either via built-in electrical connections or by induction, the active layer which is one of the components of the fabric will heat to a temperature high enough to eliminate potential biological contamination from viruses, bacteria and other microbial threats. Combining the CNT active layer with an insulating layer will allow a garment to be continuously worn or used without needing removal during multiple sterilization cycles.

Abstract: A method of creating custom garments at scale comprising utilization of a multitude of numerical customer measurement inputs and non-numerical customer fit style inputs to generate finished garment measurements. A multitude of fit block and sized versions of the garment are mass-manufactured, and then a matching and selecting process is applied to select a fit block and sized version of the garment after comparison of the finished garment measurements with the fit block and size measurements. Variances between the measurements are used to guide matching to a particular fit block and size as well as to generate alteration outputs and instructions for tailoring the fit block and sized garment into a custom garment altered to the individual customer's measurements and inputs.

Abstract: In accordance with one aspect of the present disclosure, a surgical cap is provided that includes a cover having a head-receiving cavity and a resilient member connected to the cover and extending about less than the entire head-receiving cavity. The cover includes a plurality of layers comprising at least one layer inward from the resilient member adapted to separate the resilient member from a head received in the head-receiving cavity and at least two outer layers outward from the resilient member to which the resilient member is secured. In accordance with another aspect, a method of fabricating a surgical cap is provided.

Abstract: A headwear piece or hat is provided that includes a hair bundling assembly for receiving, gathering and/or accommodating a thickness or bundle of user's hair. The hair bundling assembly includes an opening extending longitudinally in a cap portion of the headwear; a pair of flexible closure flaps lining edges of the opening, which are configured to cover a surface of the opening when the closure flaps overlap one another; and a plurality of magnets located along edges of the closure flaps, each of which having a polarity selected to attract an opposite magnet on an edge of the opposite closure flap, to assist in maintaining the overlap between the closure flaps. The closure flaps are moveable relative to one another in a lateral direction, to receive therebetween the user's hair, and the polarity of the magnets is selected to encourage the closing of the hair bundling assembly around the hair.

Abstract: A protective helmet includes a head support fixed to a crown. The head support forms a U shape with a frontal part fixed to the frontal part of the crown. The two ends of the head support are fixed to the side walls of the crown via two attachment points. First adjustment parts adjust the length of the head support between the two attachment points and the distance separating it from the frontal part of the crown. A neckband is fixed to the occipital part of the crown and is fitted in movable manner. Second adjustment parts of the neckband adjust the distance between the neckband and the frontal part of the head support.

Abstract: A helmet defining an opening for a user's head, the helmet including an outer shell providing a wave guide exit operatively associated with an integrated wave guide layer surrounded by the outer shell, the wave guide layer being adapted to direct sonic waves out the wave guide exit, thereby substantially preventing the sonic waves from penetrating through a remainder of the helmet to the opening. The wave guide layer may be a sonic wave transmission medium composed of acoustic metamaterial, wherein the wave guide layer communicates with the wave guide exit.

Abstract: A protective non-helmeted single molded facemask for sports includes a frame structure formed of a polycarbonate polymer and an integrally molded rigid eye shield formed of a transparent polycarbonate polymer composition. The peripheral frame structure is structured and configured to engage a user's forehead, side and cheek facial structure and chin. An arrangement of vertical and horizontal bars in the lower portion of the face area of the facemask are structured and configured to protect the users nose and mouth from direct contact with external objects, while the rigid eye shield on the upper face area of the facemask protects the users eyes from direct impact and contact with external objects. Upper and lower straps extend from slotted openings on the sides of the facemask and are positioned and arranged to extend around the lower back of the wearer's head to secure the facemask on the wearer's head.

In some embodiments, a three-dimensionally printed article may comprise a closed-cell foam. The closed-cell foam may have a gradient in and/or may be a single integrated material. The use of such arrangements can, according to certain embodiments, allow for the production of improved articles of footwear and/or customized articles of footwear.

Abstract: A self-cleaning sport shoe includes a traction member or plurality thereof, extending downward from the bottom of the shoe to traction the playing field surface below upon contact. The self-cleaning sport shoe incorporates a compressible cleaning structure, smaller in size and less cumbersome than existing cleaning type cushions and which is symbiotically mated, when applicable, to a concave reservoir located in the sport shoe outer sole, and in certain instances of design both the outer sole and accommodatingly shaped mid sole as well. As the structure is compressed and expanded, debris that might otherwise remain attached is discarded. This concave reservoir appreciably enhances the cleaning ability of its compressible cleaning structure and the shoe as a whole.

Abstract: A new use for a previously known snap fastener protects against raw ears or other uncomfortable abrasion during face mask use, particularly prolonged use of one mask or uninterrupted sequential use of multiple masks. A user selects two locations on a piece of headwear that would be near the ears, and puts snap fasteners at those locations. The snap fasteners have “wiggle,” and therefore can receive the elastic loops of the face mask and hold them securely. This removes the force load from the back of the ears, thus encouraging proper face mask use and significantly eliminating discomfort.

Abstract: A badge system for a shirt carrier or like body armor carrying includes an attachment panel and a badge flap removably attached to the attachment panel. A retention tab is located at the top of the attachment panel such that the top edge of the badge is sandwiched between the strap and the attachment panel to secure the badge to the carrier. The badge flap is printable and embroiderable or may be used a surface on which badges or other items can be attached. The badge flaps can be conveniently printed or embroidered in bulk, avoiding the difficulties associated with printing or embroidering directly on the shirt carrier.

The improved jewelry clasp provides for both easy and secure coupling of two ends of a wrap-around jewelry item, while providing a decorative “hiding” of the clasp. In variations, the improved jewelry clasp can appear as just one of several ingots/charms that the wrap-around jewelry item may contain. The outlet pipe is attached to the funnel and extends up to the wearer's shoulder. A drinking straw can be attached to the outlet pipe to allow the user to easily access the liquids inside.
