Abstract: A conveyor belt drive assembly embodying a supporting frame extending transversely of the belt. A pair of transverse drive axles mounted in the supporting frame are spaced from each other in the direction of belt travel. Drive wheels on the drive axles engage the under surfaces of the edges of the upper strand of the belt and the upper surfaces of the edges of the lower strand. A resiliently mounted rotatable support engages the under surfaces of the edges of the lower strand opposite the drive wheels with the lower strand pinched therebetween. A floating frame operatively connected to the supporting frame is movable relative thereto. Upper wheels carried by transverse axles on the floating frame engage the upper surfaces of the edges of the upper strand opposite the drive wheels with the upper strand pinched therebetween.

Abstract: A device for separating the rollers of a calender with a suspended spindle held at its upper end on the calender frame or the uppermost roller bearing on each calender side with supporting members which are adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the spindle and which when lifting the rollers from each other abut from below against supporting parts of the roller bearings and are adapted to be secured against rotation. The suspended spindle is divided into screw elements which respectively are associated with each intermediate roller and which have their end sections provided with threaded sections oriented in opposite directions. These screw elements are adjustable independently of each other. The supporting members provided between the threaded sections oriented in opposite directions are adjustable toward and away from the supporting parts of the roller bearings.
Abstract: A device for adjusting the roller gap of superimposed rollers of a calender with upwardly and downwardly movable spindles suspended on both sides of the calender which extend through supporting means on lateral ends of roller bearings. Below each supporting means a spindle nut is adjustable relative to the pertaining supporting means. The distance between each spindle nut and the supporting means thereabove is adapted to be sensed. Each supporting means carries a feeler head of a proximity switch and a vertical guiding bar having guided thereon a marker adjustable by the respective spindle nut on the pertaining guiding bar in the longitudinal direction of the pertaining guiding bar.
Abstract: A continuously operating press for the production of panels, such as chipboards, fiberboards, and the like, and including two cooperating endless plate belts arranged so that the material forming the panels can be conveyed by and be compressed between the belts is also provided with drivable pressure rollers for driving the endless plate belts which are adapted to be moved to an oblique angle with respect to the path of travel of the belts. By moving the drive rollers to an oblique position, lateral displacement of the flexible endless belts surrounding the endless plate belts can be prevented.
