Abstract: In one configuration of the present invention, a hair extension device for providing a user with the appearance of having longer, fuller hair is disclosed. The device may have a hair cluster having a hair flap which in turn comprises one or more hair wefts. The hair wefts may contain a number of hair strands connected together by seams which composes the band. The device may contain a filament which may be sandwiched between one or more flaps. The hair wefts may be sewn together with thread using a zig-zag stitch for example. The hair extension device may be reversible and the wefts may be attached to a length of lace.

Abstract: A hair extension system provides a skin weft of flexible material having hair like fibers uniformly displaced thereon. Micro rings are fixed to the skin weft and provide an anchoring feature for strands of human hair from a scalp to be secured thereto. The micro rings are deformable and include a flexible protectant so as to minimize damage to the strands of hair. The hair system may be reused by re-opening the micro rings and reinstalling the hair extension system to another location.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a crown-shaped semi-permanent eye lash extension that adheres on top of the natural lashes. Crown-shaped lash extensions are also applied in crisscross overlapping method that further improves coverage particularly for bald or sparse areas. The design of a single crown-shaped lashes allows it to be applied on top of the natural lashes and not directly onto individual natural lashes. There is no need to isolate individual natural lashes thereby reducing application time significantly and enabling single handed application.

Abstract: A method of adorning an eyelash of a wearer (the wearer having an eyelid with a natural lash line containing natural eyelashes) includes providing at least first and second lash subassemblies. Each lash subassembly includes an elongated mounting portion and a plurality of elongated lash filaments. Each lash filament has a filament base and an oppositely disposed filament tip. The filament base is attached to the mounting portion with the filament tip extending from the mounting portion. The first and second lash subassemblies are concurrently affixed to the eyelid. When concurrently affixed to the eyelid, the first and second lash subassemblies collectively provide a different appearance of the plurality of elongated lash filaments of the first lash subassembly than an appearance collectively provided by the plurality of elongated lash filaments of the second lash subassembly.

Abstract: A thermoplastic hair connecting element is composed of an essentially prismatic body, wherein ends of replacement or extension hair can be embedded in the hair connecting element so as to extend in a longitudinal direction of the element. The hair connecting element has at least one free surface with a profiling extending inclined relative to the longitudinal direction of the element.

Abstract: A hair extension assembly as described includes at least one hair extension, a hair fastener, and at least one hair extension connector. The hair fastener engages the wearer's hair, and the at least one hair extension is indirectly connected to the hair fastener via a hair extension connector, such as a thin flexible loop made of thread, string, wire, ribbon, or fiber. When applied, the thin connector is the only material necessarily within the fastener next to the wearer's hair and the connector separates the hair extension strands from the fastener. The hair extension assembly is quickly and easily applied to provide a customizable, free-flowing, and natural appearance that is comfortable, less bulky and easy to maintain and shampoo.

Abstract: One configuration of the invention provides a method of making a hair extension device. Exemplary steps may include attaching a plurality of wefts together to form at least one first and second hair flap having a top and bottom end; attaching the top end of the first hair flap to the top end of the second hair flap; and folding over the first hair flap to form a U shaped hair cluster thereby sandwiching a filament between the first and second hair flap. Certain embodiments may create the extension device using one hair flap. Additional steps may include using thread to attach the plurality of wefts together, and positioning the seams of the wefts so that all of the seams of the hair cluster inside the hair cluster are adjacent to the filament. Also a zig-zag stitch may be used to sew the plurality of wefts together. The resulting hair extension device may be reversible or be made using lace.

Abstract: A new hair extension apparatus and method are employed to adhesively secure a hair weft at areas of exposed skin behind a wearer's ears to avoid damage to the wearer's natural hair. Two separate pieces of a flexible sheer material are each connected to a seam of the weft adjacent a respective one of two opposing ends thereof, thereby providing surfaces that face away from the seam and the strands adjacent the opposite ends of the seam for attachment of the hair weft behind the user's ears.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a detachable, self adhesive, multi-piece wiglet and anchor cap system. This system is made up of individual shapes and sizes that accommodate users with full to no natural hair strands seeking full to partial hair coverage. The Interchangeable Wiglet is made up of base portions for the user head's ear, temple, nape, front, top, and crown. Together, these base portions allow an infinite number of variations depending on the exact three dimensional surface contours of the user's head. Abstract: There is provided an adhesive composition including a non-allergenic latex for attaching a cosmetic material or device. There is also provided a method for the use of said adhesive composition to attach a cosmetic material or device, including a false eyelash to a person's eyelid. The composition can be provided in a kit including one or more false eyelashes and a sealed container including the adhesive composition.

Abstract: The braid-on wig hair extension includes a base conforming closely to the wearer's head when installed, the base having an outer surface with display hair extending therefrom and an inner surface with a number of attachment tresses extending therefrom. The attachment tresses are combed together with tresses of the wearer's native hair, the combined wig attachment hair and native hair then being braided together to secure the wig to the wearer's head. Native hair not used for wig attachment may be dispensed with, e.g., by forming braids that conform closely to the wearer's scalp, removing the non-attachment hair, etc. The wig may be full or partial. The wig base may be impervious to the passage of the native hair of the wearer therethrough, or may be formed with pores through which the native hair of the wearer may be drawn for blending with wig display hair.

The bands of hair are disposed in a predetermined pattern to conceal the net while maintaining flexibility thereof. Independent attachment spring clips (20) are permanently secured in an upper portion of the support net (10) to removably secure the net in the wearer person's natural hair (43) wherein the net (10) and the attachment spring clips (20) are substantially non-visible in the natural hair to supplement and provide styling to the natural hair.

Abstract: A device for hair addition comprises a band-shaped support comprising a first and a second side, an adhesive surface on its first side, and at least a first and a second partial length which each comprise a portion of the adhesive surface. Further, the device comprises a plurality of hairs which are each fixed to the second side of the support at one of their ends and which extend across and away from the support. The support is gradually plastically deformable until its first and second partial lengths lie flat against each other with their portions of the adhesive surface being arranged in between.

Abstract: A hair extension kit may be packaged in such a way that patterns may be readily printed onto the hair using a standard printer. The hair extension may be removable from the kit to easily accessorize a girl's or doll's hair.

Abstract: A cosmetic hair assembly has a shaped piece of wig netting or mesh holding a plurality of cosmetic hairs attached to a correspondingly shaped layer of biomimetic microstructure adhesive (BMA) with tiny synthetic seta for adhesion to human skin. The wig netting is dimensioned slightly larger than the BMA layer to leave a slight overhanging part to facilitate removal from the skin by peeling back the overhanging part. A comb with peeler in the form of hooked portions can be used to peel back the wig netting. In another embodiment, an individual cosmetic hair assembly has a hair shaft attached to a substrate portion attached to a BMA layer, wherein the substrate's edges provide engagement surfaces to facilitate removal by peeling back the BMA layer. An applicator in the form of a thin water-soluble transfer sheet can hold a number of cosmetic hair assemblies until they are ready to be applied.

Abstract: A hair extension assembly includes an elongated base being sufficiently flexible to conform to the contours of the wearer's head and including an attachment assembly comprising a plurality of loops extending along one longitudinal side of the base. A collection of extension hair includes a plurality of supplemental strands secured to the base substantially opposite relative to the plurality of loops. As applied, the base and more specifically the plurality of loops are disposed in adjacent, substantially aligned relation to a hair part or seam formed in the natural hair of the wearer. Abstract: A hair fashioning or styling apparatus covered in velvet or similar material, the apparatus comprising an elongated section that is flexible, but which retains its shape once formed, along with a pillow section that is either removable or integral to the elongated section. The hair fashioning apparatus may include earphones, earplugs, earmuffs or a holder for a media player. The hair fashioning apparatus is utilized to form a “poof” of hair on the top of the head, or, alternatively, pigtails or ponytails.

Abstract: An improved wefted hair extension method and device that is an improvement upon the standard weft with any grade, shade or texture of hair attached. Extending from the top of the weft are pairs of threads going exactly through the center of the weft. Each pair of threads has a round tipped guide in place of a needle and thread to navigate the thread through the braid. The time spent in application of the wefted hair to the person's natural hair is greatly reduced by use of precisely positioned and pre-threaded attachment threads that can be placed along the length of the wearers braid and quickly secured.

The artificial eyelash 100 disclosed herein includes an artificial eyelash main body 10 and an annular member 20 for coupling the artificial eyelash main body 10 and the eyelash 50. The annular member 20 is formed of a shrinkable material.

Abstract: Eyelash extensions and a method for applying the same are described. The eyelash extensions comprise a first filament having both a proximal end and a distal portion with a distal end. Each of the proximal end and distal end are tapered and of a size such that the proximal end can be attached with a single eyelash. In some aspects, the filament can be branched to form a branched eyelash extension. The eyelash extensions come in multiple sizes, shapes, and colors to provide the user with increased aesthetics and comfort.

Abstract: A hair extension includes a weft having an upper edge and a lower edge, a plurality of hair strands that are attached to the weft and are suspended below the lower edge of the weft, and a plurality of elongated rods. Each rod includes a base that is attached to the weft, and an extended portion that extends from the base and is adapted to be inserted into a tube for holding hair strands. The weft has a predetermined width. The extended portion of the rod protrudes from the upper edge of the weft, and is bent toward the lower edge of the weft. The extended portion includes a free end that is spaced from the weft by a predetermined distance. The base is embedded within the weft.

Abstract: A method for affixing a plurality of extension hair strands to a plurality of natural hair strands and accomplishing an non-chemical removable connection using the action of allowing a non-thermoplastic material to seep or flow and purge moisture on its own merit as opposed to being pressed by hand. In one embodiment, the hair extension is attached to the plait by hand, allowing a material to flow through the strands individually forming a whole and allowing a releasable fusing to take place which holds the extension hair to the natural hair for an extended period of time or until removed. In another essence, by pouring the material over the readied attachment and allowing the material to flow through all the hairs and, as it is purged of moisture, to form a connection for an extended period of time or until removed. In another embodiment, a machine or tool is used to accomplish the pouring and seeping, then drying, which in turn fastens the extension hairs to the natural hairs.

Abstract: A method to apply a V-shaped eyelash having four symmetric tapered strands attached at the mounting portion to natural eyelash's hair. The V-shaped eyelash has two strands on each side. The V flare corresponds to an angle can be less than or equal to 160° degrees. The thickness of each strand can be 0.10 mm to 0.30 mm thick at the base and tapered at the tips. The lengths can be from 7 mm to 17 mm giving the illusion of a natural long, beautiful and luscious eyelash. Because the eyelash extension is a V shape with the two strands on each side, the eyelash can distribute weight evenly on each side. The natural hair strand as the holder at center also making the eyelash extensions last longer. The eyelashes are made from synthetic fiber which is crimp free and can be permed to a C, and J curl.

Abstract: This invention relates to a hair increasing device that improves the freedom of hair styles and, is constituted in such a manner that each hair is knotted to a rib constituting a hair-secured frame with one end portion being twice wound, and the other end portion being once wound and pulled out thereafter. The one end portion of the tied hair is supported so as to stand upright with regard to a rib, and the other end portion is knotted so as to extend longitudinally on and along a rib, and thereby hair flow is formed in the longitudinal direction on a plurality of ribs so that the plurality of ribs is covered and hidden, and becomes hardly visible. Hence the rib or wig base linear member is hardly visible, the knot does not loosen, and the hair increasing device provides a rich voluminous appearance and allows versatility of hair styles.

Abstract: A hair extension that exhibits voluminousness at hair roots and makes the hair puffy when attached to the head of a wearer, a hair ornament using the same, and a method for producing the hair extension. The hair extension of the present invention includes at least main fibers (1) and root fibers (2), wherein the root fibers (2) are crimped fibers having a shorter fiber length in comparison with the main fibers (1) and not longer than 10 cm, and the main fibers (1) and the root fibers (2) are blended and integrated by sewing. In the method for producing the aforesaid hair extension, the root fibers may be blended with the main fibers and then shrunk to crimp. Alternatively, previously-crimped fibers may be used as the root fibers and blended with the main fibers.

Abstract: A hair extension for attachment to a hair is provided. The hair extension comprises an extending hair portion and a thread connected to the extending hair portion and configured to be tied to a hair to create an attachment. A ring portion is formed between both ends of the thread for inserting the hair, tightening, and fixing to the inserted hair. Expensive equipment is not required for attaching and removing the hair extension.

Abstract: A medical hair prosthesis for use by a wearer that has had a pronounced loss of hair, where the foundation of the medical hair prosthesis is made of lace that has gone through a cryogenic treatment process to increase durability and comfort. The medical hair prosthesis is formed by a process of harvesting the wearer's own hair to incorporate into the front hairline of the hair prosthesis.

Abstract: A hair extension includes a weft having an upper edge and a lower edge, a plurality of hair strands that are attached to the weft and are suspended below the lower edge of the weft, and a plurality of elongated rods. Each rod includes a base that is attached to the weft, and an extended portion that extends from the base and is adapted to be inserted into a tube for holding hair strands. The weft has a predetermined width. The extended portion of the rod protrudes from the upper edge of the weft, and is bent toward the lower edge of the weft. Abstract: An artificial eyelash structure includes a mounting member having a bonding portion for adhering to an eyelid and a bendable portion for enabling the bonding portion to be curved into a smoothly arched shape when bending the bonding portion upwards or downwards, and multiple eyelashes connected with the mounting member. The artificial eyelash structure is prepared by: forming a mounting member from a thin film, and then processing the thin film of the mounting member into a bonding portion and a bendable portion such that the bendable portion enables the bonding portion to be bent upwards or downwards, and then connecting eyelashes with the mounting member.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fast applicable hair piece (1) for obtaining a special esthetical effect like e.g. a colour effect or a hair volume effect having a remarkable high wearing comfort for the user. The hair piece (1) comprises at least one thin, broad and flat hair piece (3) consisting of a number of hairs (20). The hair bundle (3, 3?, 3?) is provided at its free end with a lightweight and thin elongated weaving band (2, 2?, 2?) made from hair or from another suitable material like e.g. cotton or a synthetic material comprising regularly weaving elements (11). This weaving band is characterized by connection opening (4, 4?, 4?, 31) provided at regular mutual distance. A suitable number of basic hairs (9, 9?, 9?) may be passed through said connection openings (4, 4?, 4?, 31). As a result a temporarily, durable however eventually easily removable connection between the hair (1) piece and the basic hair (6) will be formed, in such a way that the hair piece (1) is always reusable.

Abstract: Various embodiments of wefted hair extensions 132 using individual hair strands 108 intertwined with each other to form a wefted product with a cornrow braid 120 base or edge 124, one of the two sides 123 of the cornrow braid 120 having at least one groove housing a plurality of individual hair strands. The zone of attachment is rendered invisible. The distal end is secured with a knot or other method. The final product is then flipped over to its non braided, seamless side. Installation is in pairs as parents only, parents and children, or individual wefts scattered throughout the wearer's head. A unique mirror image embodiment places two parent embodiments adjacent to each other such that their edges face each other, separated by a part line. The mirror image embodiment solves hair and scalp imperfections and is available as a hair kit. Embodiments can start right at the edges of a hairline using my technique, even if the wearer is mostly bald, has thinning hair 148, short hair, or has no hair problems.

Abstract: An applicator for use with an eyelash extension system that has a backbone and a backbone surface. A plurality of eyelash extensions are attached to the backbone. The applicator has a closure having a closure surface facing the backbone surface, and a pair of clips, each clip including a first arm, a second arm, and a pivot attached to the first arm and the second arm. A first holder is attached to each of the first arms to releasably attach the backbone to the first arms. Further there is a second holder attached to each of the second arms to releasably attach the closure to the second arms. The first and second arms are moveable between a first state wherein the first and second arms are spaced relative to each other and a second state wherein the first and second arms abut each other.

Abstract: The present invention provides method of attaching a hair extension to a subject, the hair extension including a plurality of hairs attached to a base with an aperture through the base, the method including: i) selecting a first bundle of the subject's hair; ii) passing the first bundle of the subject's hair through the aperture; iii) selecting a second bundle of the subject's hair; and iv) clamping the first bundle of subject's hair to the second bundle of subject's hair with a clamp; wherein the clamped first and second bundles form a closed loop which retains the hair extension in place. The present invention also provides a hair extension for use in the method.

Abstract: A fitting and a method for utilizing one or more of such fittings are described for securing supplemental hair to a person's head, along the outer surface of the person's scalp, to create an enhanced, natural appearance independent of the population and location of any natural hair on the person's head. Each fitting includes a base and a longitudinal bridge rising from the base to establish an eye providing a lateral path beneath the bridge. Each base is embedded beneath the outer surface of the person's scalp to secure the corresponding fitting at a selected strategic location on the person's head with the bridge projecting from the outer surface to provide a corresponding attachment site. Supplemental hair is juxtaposed with and secured to each bridge with a corresponding ligature passed through the eye of each corresponding bridge.

The hair extension kit can increase the coupling force between the user's hair and the extension-hair via the fastening ring.

Abstract: A sectional wig includes a wig material adapted to cover a portion of the scalp, the portion being less than the entire scalp; a wig hair on a surface of the wig material; and an attachment mechanism to attach the wig material to the person's hair. At least some of the person's hair or scalp is exposed. The attachment mechanism may include a wig clip having teeth that clip to the person's hair, or a track of sewable material such as hair and a border on a side of the device, adapted to be sewn to the person's hair.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for attaching hair extensions into basic hair comprising the following steps: providing a carrier foil with a number of hair extensions into the lower arm having lower recesses of an application clamp, closing the application clamp by clamping together the—hingingly interconnected—upper arm and lower arm heating the connection elements by pressing heating projections of an pinch applicator in and through the upper openings of the application clamp onto the connection elements of the hair extensions.

Abstract: A hair extension removal tool is generally shaped like a pair of pliers with two jaws formed of two elongated members pivotally joined together. A body is attached to the first elongated member and houses a solvent container therein. A tubing extends from the container to an opening on an inside surface of one of the jaws. The container has a pump for ejecting an amount of the solvent through the tubing. A lever attached to the body is provided for activating the pump. In use, a strand of extension hair is placed within the jaws of the removal tool, the lever is pressed to eject an appropriate amount of the solvent through the tubing, and pressure is applied to the hair extension with the jaws of the tool to weaken the attachment, until the bonding material is sufficiently dissolved and the extension hair is detached and removed.

Abstract: A hair extension holder including a main body and a cover. The main body has a recess formed therein that is adapted to receive a hair extension bundle. The cover is operably attached to the main body such that the cover is movable with respect to the main body. A recess is defined between the cover and the main body that is adapted to receive a plurality of hairs.

Abstract: A hair extension that has no weft for attachment to the hairs on a person's head. The extension however includes a group of hairs arranged to form a flat strip which has a top end, a bottom end, a width across the group of hairs and a length along the group of hairs. An adhesive is located across the top end of the group of hairs to bind the hairs together and double sided adhesive tapes are attached to the sides of the group of hairs and covers the adhesive at the top end of the group of hairs. A release tape is attached to each of the double sided adhesive tapes.

Abstract: A method of alternatively servicing patrons of hair salons during transitional periods of embarrassment and stress resulting from ongoing medical conditions affecting one's hair appearance includes the steps of offering consultations, purchases of whole wig, demi-piece and hair fall adaptations for purchase, and maintenance of the hair adaptations purchased during such transitional period until the medical condition resolves itself or until the patron feels sufficiently unembarrassed and unstressed to return to the hair salon for further treatments, all on a one-on-one basis in the privacy of an area accessible both visibly and audibly only to the patron and to the hair technician, and at a single one-time fee covering all providing services until the patron returns to the hair salon for further hair treatments.

When the device is positioned on the head, the hair strands of the hair weft lengths extend down the sides and back of the user. The natural hair held beneath the filament is pulled up and forward, then backward over the filament, blending together the natural hair of the user and the supplemental hair strands.

Abstract: A hair extension strip includes a hollow hair extension strip end piece and a number of extension hair strands that are embedded in the hair extension strip end piece. The hair extension strip end piece comprises a hair extension hollow tube having predetermined inner diameter and predetermined length. The hair extension strip is made by a process comprising steps of aligning ends of a predetermined number of hair strands; applying melted thermoplastic resin around the aligned ends of the hair strands, removing excess thermoplastic resin, forming a hollow hair extension strip end piece by wrapping the hair strands around a centering rod, and cooling the hair extension strip end piece with the hair strands embedded.

Abstract: A hair extension to be attached to a hair under attachment is provided. The hair extension comprises extending hair portion and a thread connected to the extending hair portion and configured to be tied to a hair under attachment, and a ring portion is formed between both ends of the thread for inserting the hair, tightening, and fixing to the inserted hair. An expensive equipment is not required for attaching and removing the hair extension, and there is no danger of skin trouble to the scalp or skin of the user or a service provider, and there is no hazard of burning by a hot iron to the user, and the hair extension service may be done within an hour; and it is quite easy to remove the hair extension, and the hair extension does not fall down from the hair easily.
