The distal click flange of the first decoration clamp device engages with the click portion of the second decoration clamp device. The click portion of the second decoration clamp device has a plurality of grooves. Each of the second elastic plates has a hook end portion.

Abstract: A hair clip includes a low profile clip mechanism which translates linear pressure on the ends of the clip into rotational action for opening the curved comb moldings. Springs cause the clip to close when pressure on the clip ends is removed. The barrel of the clip may comprise sections which are fixed with respect to the clip ends and sections which are attached to the comb moldings, and which are rotated by the clip mechanism. Or, the barrel may comprise alternating sections attached to each comb molding. Removable decorative attachments attach to the fixed portions of the barrel of the clip, via magnets, snap on grips, velcro.TM. or the like.

At least some of the teeth are relatively narrow in the vicinity of their base and can have a maximal width in the central area of the tooth and be relatively narrow in the vicinity of the free end of the tooth. This improves the retention of the clip in the hair.

The inventive device includes an elongated member having a first surface and a second surface, a clip attached to the first surface for securing the elongated member to the hair, and an arcuate fastener attached to the support member for releasably securing a bow to the second surface. The bow can be replaced with a different bow by releasing the arcuate fastener, removing the bow, and inserting the new bow between the fastener and the second surface. The fastener is then reattached so as to secure the new bow.

Abstract: A method for effecting a curled hair style includes weaving the strands of at least one ponytail through the hair foundation proximal to the ponytail, and then raising portions of the strands away from the foundation to establish respective curled segments of hair. A tool for establishing the hair style includes a cord that defines a noose having a circumference. A needle holds the cord, and the needle has a pointed distal end opposite the noose. A sleeve is slidably received in the needle and is engaged with the cord for selectively establishing the circumference of the noose. With this structure, the sleeve can be manipulated to loosen the noose, a strand disposed in the noose, and then the sleeve manipulated to tighten the noose around the strand to securely hold the strand. Then, the distal end of the needle is advanced into the foundation to accomplish the present weaving.

Abstract: A device for covering the end of a hair braid, having a hollow sleeve, open at its upper end and closed at its lower end, and having a W-shaped insert, which may be used to secure the end of the hair braid by wrapping the braid end around the lower middle portion of the W, and having rounded projections at the upper sides of the W, which spring into longitudinally oriented retaining slots in the upper sides of the sleeve, when the insert is inserted sufficiently into the sleeve. The insert is slightly oversized in comparison to the interior width of the sleeve, and is made of a material having sufficient elasticity to be insertable within the sleeve, and to cause the projections to snap into the retaining slots of the sleeve, when the insert is sufficiently inserted.

The comb is initially folded against the clip plate via a cooperated action between the symmetrical short pins and the comb pivot seats so as to allow the combined foldable hair clip and comb to be used as a hair clip.

Portions of the body member that are radially adjacent to each other with respect to the main axis present confronting surfaces for applying pressure to hair and define a generally spirally shaped hair-receiving volume. A sufficient extent of the body member preferably comprises resilient material for allowing an ordinary user to increase the hair-receiving volume, during insertion of the device into a bundle of hair, more than about 50 percent in an outermost 180.degree. spiral region bounded by the hair-receiving opening. When the device is unflexed, the hair-receiving volume preferably decreases in radial dimension with respect to the main axis more than about 15 percent from a radially outer, to a radially inner, portion of one spiral turn of the hair-receiving volume other than innermost and outermost 45.degree.

Abstract: A decorative baby hair piece has a decorative adornment of embroidered ribbon attached to a lace backing element or a large bow without the backing element and a hair lock attached with glue to the decorative adornment. The hair lock includes two elongated, flexible, plastic strips having ends laser welded together and opposite ends left open. The open ends facilitate positioning baby hair between opposing surfaces of the two strips. Elongated male and female flexible plastic elements having corresponding lock forming shapes are formed integrally with the two strips and coact when pressed together to form a zipper type lock. Thus, with baby hair positioned across the male and female locking elements and the plastic strips pressed together to zip lock the locking elements together, the hair and the strips are simultaneously locked together for securing the decorative baby hair piece to the baby's hair.
