  • Patent number: 10327998
Abstract: Cellulose cyanoacrylate is employed to bond two surfaces, fill voids or duplicate the shape of a three-dimensional object, Two surfaces may be bonded by placing a sheet of cellulose material between the surfaces and applying cyanoacrylate glue around the edge of the sheet until saturated and allowing it to cure. Paper toweling may favorably be employed as the cellulose material. A break or fracture in an article can be overlaid with a sheet of cellulose that when saturated with cyanoacrylate glue and temporarily held in place and shaped with a releasable film, the fracture can be corrected. A dry powder comprising highly abrasion-resistant particles can be mixed with the cellulose material to enhance abrasion resistance and to improve long-term color stability—especially important for dental cavity treatment. To duplicate the shape of a three-dimensional object, a sheet of releasable film is placed over the object, followed by a sheet of cellulose that is then saturated with cyanoacrylate glue.

  • Patent number: 9751243
Abstract: A method for producing a molding, the shape of which is adapted to an initial mold, in which method a plurality of layers are deformably placed on top of one another such that the layers can be joined to each other by heat. The layers are deformed by being pressed onto the initial mold and in order to join the layers. Heat is applied in the deformed state. In the arrangement made of layers, at least one converter element is introduced that transforms supplied energy into heat energy and with which at least parts of the layers are heated to join the layers.

  • Patent number: 9695595
Abstract: A method for repairing damaged asphalt shingles includes inserting a tube under the damaged shingle such the terminal end of the tube lies in the vicinity of the damaged area of the shingle, pushing a liquid emulsion through the tube and under the damaged shingle in and around the damaged area, applying a sealant to the upper face of the damaged shingle to fill and seal the damaged area, applying color granules to the sealant to match the granules associated with the damaged shingle, and allowing the sealant and liquid emulsion to seal the damaged area. The method may also include forming a hole in the center of the damaged area of the shingle and applying a sealant through the tube into the hole in sufficient quantity to allow the sealant to spread underneath the damaged shingle and around the damaged area of the shingle, filling the hole with a liquid emulsion, and applying colored granules to the liquid emulsion.

  • Patent number: 9688031
Abstract: The invention relates to an appliance for repairs of local damage of laminated glasses consisting of a body with a base fitted with circumferential elastomer gasket for underpressure suction to the glass. The substance of the invention is that a closing member of an overflow valve for underpressure supply to a repair compartment is arranged so that when closing, it moves in the underpressure suction direction and pushed to a seat by generated pressure. The repair compartment is connected directly with the underpressure source via the overflow valve. A fixing compartment is connected, with the underpressure source independently. To interconnect underpressure/pressure, a lid with boreholes is used as well as a flat gasket with holes and a shape groove.

  • Patent number: 9610739
Abstract: A repair solution for a wind turbine blade is described. The repair solution includes the application of a layer of viscous coating material to the section of the blade to be repaired, which is cured to form a repaired surface. The layer of viscous coating material may be temporarily covered during the curing process using a film of Low Surface Energy material, to prevent defects in the repaired surface from dust, insects, etc. Additionally or alternatively, a temporary shield may be erected adjacent the curing layer of coating material, to allow for the control of the temperature and/or humidity levels of the region adjacent the curing material, to provide for more effective control of the curing process and to allow for repairs to be carried out for a wider process window.

The cutting apparatus includes a platform that supports a track. The cutting apparatus also includes a linear slide that is configured to both hold the display module in place and travel along the track, where the movement of the linear slide along the track is driven by a mass that is in free fall. The cutting apparatus further includes a cutting wire, where the cutting wire is positioned relative to the target layer and oscillates to cut the target layer as the linear slide moves along the track. Additional techniques are disclosed and directed toward a method for operating the cutting apparatus described above.
