Patent number: 6648106Abstract: To ensure durability of a one-way clutch, by reducing surface pressures applied to side bearings, a one-way clutch has end bearings that are disposed between an outer race and an inner race and that maintain concentricity between the races. In a supporting structure wherein one of the outer race and the inner race is fitted to a stationary member and the other race is fitted to a rotational member, a clearance of a fitting portion between the stationary member and one of the races is narrower than a clearance between the rotational member and the other race. A load resulting from whirling of the rotational member is absorbed by the greater clearance, and a high load resulting from radial movements of the race fitted to the stationary member and a weight of the race is supported by the stationary member. Thus, loads applied to the end bearings are reduced.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2001Date of Patent: November 18, 2003Assignee: Aisin AW, Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masahiro Hayabuchi, Masaaki Nishida, Satoru Kasuya, Hiroshi Katou

Publication number: 20020175029Abstract: A relatively simple hydraulically operated disc brake mechanism for drive systems which store torsion by reason of being under torque is disclosed. Certain drive systems such as the drive strings for deep well submersible pumps store considerable torsion due to torque and elasticity. Such torsion must be controllably released if drive power is interrupted. The disc brake mechanism includes a housing that defines a reservoir for lubricating oil for the bearings of a shaft that drives a bi-directional hydraulic pump. When the shaft turns in an operating direction, the pump conveys the lubricating oil in a closed circuit by way of a control manifold through the brake mechanism and back to the reservoir, without activating the brake mechanism. This flushes the complete lubricating oil circuit including the control manifold and the brake mechanism to prevent accumulation of gas pockets therein at locations of little or no fluid flow.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2002Publication date: November 28, 2002Inventors: Minoru Saruwatari, Kevin Saruwatari

Such damping mechanism includes a damping body (1) installed with a damper mechanism and allowing a rotative shaft (3) to protrude therefrom; a plurality of pinions (4, 5) provided on the rotative shaft (3) and each having a different diameter from one another; and a rack member (2) including a plurality of racks (7, 8) respectively engaging with the pinions (4, 5).Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2001Date of Patent: November 5, 2002Assignee: Tok Bearing Co., Ltd.Inventor: Nobutoshi Orita

Publication number: 20020096405Abstract: A damping device (14) for movable furniture parts comprising a fluid damper which is in the form of a rotational damper (20) and which includes two members which are rotatably movable relative to each other, namely a housing and a drum disposed in the housing. A damping fluid, for example a silicone oil, is disposed in the housing. During the damping action one of the two members is rotated by an actuating member and the other member is held fast. The rotational damper (20) is radially displaceably mounted and during the damping action is pressed by the actuating member against a retaining element (17).Type: ApplicationFiled: January 10, 2002Publication date: July 25, 2002Inventor: Ingo Gasser

Publication number: 20020011385Abstract: To ensure durability of a one-way clutch, by reducing surface pressures applied to side bearings, a one-way clutch has end bearings that are disposed between an outer race and an inner race and that maintain concentricity between the races. Thus, loads applied to the end bearings are reduced.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 26, 2001Publication date: January 31, 2002Applicant: Aisin AW Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masahiro Hayabuchi, Masaaki Nishida, Satoru Kasuya, Hiroshi Katou

Patent number: 6189660Abstract: A ratchet wheel device for a baby walker provided on the bottom surface of a chassis of the baby walker, it is comprised of a wheel rim, two transmitting gears, a transmitting member and a cover. The wheel rim is provided therein with a receiving chamber. The two transmitting gears are mounted on both sides of the receiving chamber and can fitly move therein and can be stopped by two stop portions in the receiving chamber. The transmitting member is provided in the receiving chamber and fixed on the chassis of the baby walker. A plurality of engaging teeth are provided thereon to engage with the transmitting gears. When the wheel rim is rotated to a specified direction, the two transmitting gears will not interact with the stop portions. While when it is rotated in the contrary direction, the two transmitting gears will be engaged by the transmitting member to be stopped by the stop portions and to limit rotation of the wheel rim.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 1998Date of Patent: February 20, 2001Inventor: Stephen Hu
