  • Patent number: 11951826
Abstract: A two-tracked vehicle is powered by an electric machine which operates as a motor to rotate output shafts via an axle differential with each of the output shafts coupled to a vehicle wheel. One of the output shafts is subdivided into a wheel-side shaft portion and an electric-machine-side shaft portion which can be drivingly coupled to each other by a form-fit coupling to bring the electric machine into driving connection with the vehicle wheels during driving operation. The wheel-side shaft portion and electric-machine-side shaft portion can be decoupled from each other to prevent drag losses during driving operation when the electric machine is deactivated.

Abstract: An engine driven pump includes a drive apparatus that is assisted into the disengaged condition prior to disconnect by the ported pressure in the pump. A spring-biased actuator assembly is fluidly connected to a depressure valve of the pump, and along with its spring bias, urges a yoke into a disengaged position to disengage the gear faces of the mechanism. A trigger link held by a solenoid plunger normally retains the yoke in an engaged position. A drive socket can be accessed to return the yoke, and hence the gear faces, into the engaged position. The pump can be disengaged under command during flight or when the aircraft is on the ground, and can only be re-engaged when the aircraft is on the ground. The drive apparatus has few rotating components to reduce rotational inertia; and is enclosed within a housing with no exposed components with all parts continually lubricated.

Abstract: The invention relates to, in essence, a switching device (10, 11) for a motor vehicle. This switching device comprises two idler gears (17, 18) and a claw (14). This claw (14) assures, by displacement, a selective connection of a drive shaft (9) to one of the two idler gears (17, 18). According to the invention, the claw (14) comprises axial protrusions (65, 66) for simultaneously connecting it to the two idler gears (17, 18). To this end, the gears (17, 18) each have axial projections (67, 68). The protrusions (65, 66) are designed for entering the spaces made between the projections (67, 68). The inventive switching device (10, 11) is preferably used with a hybrid transmission device (1).

  • Patent number: 7472628
Abstract: A mechanically-activated decoupler is used in the actuator of the cinching latch mechanism. The decoupler activates with an input from door handle operation such that the motor drive within the actuator decouples from the remainder of the actuator gear train and latch mechanism whenever the door handle is operated. At rest the actuator is direct-coupled to the latch mechanism having a lost motion provision to allow manual latch function. Because of this the actuator with its motor drive is unloaded and routine door handle-activated decoupling carries little friction. In the event of a power failure during a cinching or release cycle, the handle input activates the clutch and decouples the otherwise binding motor drive of the actuator allowing the remainder of the latch mechanism to return to its at rest state using light return springs. After returning to its at rest state the latch mechanism retains normal manual function until the power failure is corrected.
