Means To Manipulate Without Rupture Patents (Class 206/221)
  • Patent number: 8104611
Abstract: A mixing container having an outer vessel with an open mouth and an inner vessel also with an open mouth separately stores two liquids for automatic mixing when the container is opened. Upon assembly, an interior seal between the open mouth of the inner vessel and the bottom of the outer vessel is effected through placement of a closure in the open mouth of the outer vessel. The inner vessel is received by a socket mounted in the closure which provides a resilient bias on the inner vessel to force the open mouth of the inner vessel against the bottom. A method for filling the mixing container includes a filling of the inner vessel, placement of the outer vessel over the inner vessel, immersing at least the open mouth of the outer vessel into a second liquid and evacuating the outer vessel. The mixing container may then be closed to resiliently bias the open mouth of the inner vessel against the bottom of the outer vessel to effect the interior seal.

Abstract: An infusion cap for a bottle having a threaded neck is screwed onto the threaded neck and by removing a locking tab a portion of the cap may be pressed toward the bottle to discharge an infusion substance into the bottle. In a modified embodiment instead of pushing against the cap, a portion of the cap is rotated on the bottle threads to discharge a substance to be infused from the cap into the bottle.

  • Patent number: 7722594
Abstract: The invention relates to a medical bag which is intended for the infusion of a medicament by means of gravity. The inventive bag comprises: at least two compartments, namely a first compartment (1) containing a medicament in the form of a solution and a second compartment (2) containing a rinsing solution; and means for separating/communicating the compartments, which prevent the rinsing solution from automatically entering the medicament compartment except at the end of the infusion period. The rinsing solution ends the infusion, by rinsing the medicament bag and the infusion line, such as to prevent any risk of contamination or leakage of residual medicament from the bag or line.

  • Patent number: 7678398
Abstract: An insert for insertion into a pressurized container for liquids has a component chamber for receiving an active substance and a pressure chamber for introducing the active substance into the liquid when opening the container for liquids. The pressure chamber has at least one small outer bore. The insert is freely movable in the container for liquids but has such a stable floating position on a surface of the liquid within the container for the liquids that the outer bore always points upwardly and optimizes a pressure compensation with the environment. After opening the container for liquids, the resulting relative overpressure in the pressure chamber in relation to the released pressure in the container for liquids effects an opening of the component chamber.

The cap member is provided with a primary engagement means, such as an internal thread, which engages with a corresponding primary engagement means provided on the housing, such as an external thread, to allow the cap member to be lifted relative to the housing from a closed position in which the plug member closes a bottom aperture and a spout aperture in the fluid chamber, through a first open position in which the plug member is at least partially withdrawn from the bottom aperture while still closing the spout aperture, thereby allowing the additive to pass from the fluid chamber, and to a second open position in which the spout aperture is at least partially open.

  • Publication number: 20090301905
Abstract: A storage device has a second cap for actuating a rod and permitting a fluid to flow through that cap. The storage device has an outer container and an inner container. Mounted at one end of the inner container is a first cap that rotates open and closed for allowing the contents of the inner and outer containers to mix together when desired. The other end of the inner container has an opening that is enclosed by the second cap that is operable to actuate the rod. When actuated, the rod pushes against the first cap thereby opening it in order to mix the contents. Moreover the second cap defines a plurality of holes adapted to permit a fluid to flow through them. Thus the second cap actuates the rod, yet also is disposed at the same end of the outer and inner containers from which the fluid can flow.

  • Patent number: 7578386
Abstract: A cover coupled with a container that allows contents thereof to be mixed when the cover is opened, is provided. The cover includes a cover body and a packing member. The cover body consists of a cylinder-shaped shaped receiving wall integrally projected from the bottom to for a receiving space. The packing member has a blocking wall, the first support wall, the second support wall, and bridges. The first support wall extends from the blocking wall and is forcibly fitted in the inside of the receiving wall. The second support wall is forcibly fitted in the inside of the lateral wall of the container and the bridges are formed at a constant interval to connect the first support wall and the second support wall. Since the cover body and the packing member are coupled in the shape of an assembly, a coupling process with the container can be separately performed and thus assembling efficiency improves.
