Abstract: Systems and containers for organizing and carrying tools and tool sets are disclosed herein. One aspect of the invention is directed to systems and containers for efficiently organizing tools for specific work tasks, such as gunsmith tools, etc. In one embodiment, a container for carrying and organizing tools includes a housing having a base portion and a lid portion. The lid portion can be pivotally attached to the base portion. The container can also include a plurality of recesses disposed in an internal portion of the container in a recess pattern. The recesses can be configured to releasably retain the tools in the housing. The container also includes an insertable tool position guide having a plurality of images in an image pattern, wherein the image pattern can correspond to the recess pattern. In addition to tool positional information, the tool position guide can also communicate tool identification information.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a box tool for repairing glasses including a box bottom and a box cover. A hanging ring is disposed on an end of the box bottom in order that consumers can hang the tool box at different place they want. The box bottom interconnects the box cover with a pivoting axle; the box cover can rotate in a range of 360° about the pivoting axle; a first fastener is disposed on a first end of the box bottom; a second fastener is disposed on a first end of the box cover. The box cover is made of transparent material with a megaloscope disposed in the middle thereof. A lamp and a battery are also disposed on a second end of the box bottom.

The coil has a coil body, a first coil end and a second coil end. The coil body is formed from a cord having a predefined diameter where the cord is formed into a helix. The first coil end is retained at the first housing end and the second coil end extends a predefined distance beyond the second housing end and is configured for attaching to a hand tool.

When the tray slides out of the box body, the positioning post engages with the pivotal trough, and the tray is rotatable by means of an external force.

In response to pressing the push button the projection slides downward along the slope to pivot the pivotal structure and disengage the lock pin from the latch, thereby unlocking the cover and upward pivoting the receiving structures.

Abstract: This invention protects the processes and technologies used to produce kitting foam inserts. The manufactured inserts are in the form of foam silhouettes with a thin hard plastic backing. The process is unique in that it utilizes software and automations that were previously unknown in the kitting industry. The hard plastic backed foam inserts will retain the positions of items within the kit and allow, at a glance, identification of missing or displaced items and tools. The foam inserts also provide for rapid restocking of reusable assembly kits. Pocket marks can incorporate human and/or machine-readable symbols into the foam inserts. This patent is unique with respects to the referenced U.S. Pat. No. 7,410,053 B2 in that this invention describes in detail the manufacturing process for producing foam kitting inserts to be used for organizing tool and assembly kits.

Abstract: The tool and supply bag includes a frame that can rest atop a stepladder, and further includes a tool and supply bag that attaches about the exterior of said frame. A removable box or cooler accompanies the tool and supply bag and provides further storage when carrying the device to and from a stepladder via a shoulder strap. Abstract: Portable cases for storing and transporting firearm-cleaning parts and tools are divided and organized interiorly with multiple, independently removable modules. Each case has a pair of foldable halves with Velcro®-lined interiors. The interiors releasably retain various Velcro® equipped bandoleers, pouches and packets that carry various cleaning tools and parts. The bandoleers each include a longitudinal strap with multiple holding loops for retaining capped bandoleer tubes containing cleaning tools, brushes, mops and the like. A first half of the case stores the bandoleers, and the opposite half stores the pouches to keep them in contact with the bandoleers to insure stability hen the case is closed.

Abstract: A system for identifying, monitoring, and tracking a plurality of tools includes: a pad for placing the tools, wherein the pad includes a plurality of appropriately-sized cutouts for nesting each of the tools; a sensor in each cutout that detects placement and removal of the tool in the cutout; and a low frequency radio tag placed in the pad and operatively coupled with each sensor for reading each sensor. The low frequency radio tag operates at a low clock frequency and is configured to receive and transmit data signals within a peer-to-peer network with any low frequency radiating transceiver. The low frequency radio tag includes: a tag antenna operable at a low radio frequency not exceeding 450 kilohertz, a transceiver, a data storage device for storing data for identifying the tools, a processor for processing the data; and a connector for a power source.

Abstract: A tool bag for transporting a plurality of tools and for positioning over construction apparatus is provided. The tool bag includes a first storage section and a second storage section, at least a flexible cover and a handle. The first and the second storage sections are pivotally connected to each other so as to generally define an upper hinge region. The first and second storage sections are separable so that they can be disposed on opposite sides of the construction apparatus, and being movable into close proximity with one another to enable the tool bag to be carried in a more compact configuration. The flexible cover is constructed and arranged to cover the associated compartments of the storage section. The upper portions of the cover are constructed and arranged to be removed from covering relation while lower portions of the cover remain attached, thereby exposing the compartments.

At least one of the first and second end coverings is configured to selectively allow access to the containing chamber from outside the tape container aid kit. A plurality of accessory items are located inside the containing chamber. Each of the accessory items bears a categorical relationship to a type of the adhesive-backed tape, such that the accessory items and the adhesive-backed tape collectively form a tape container aid kit of a given categorical type.

Abstract: An insert for containers designed to store and organize small hand tools comprising two (2) discs, each of a slightly smaller diameter than the interior diameter of the bucket is herein disclosed. Each disc is provided with multiple holes and slots to hold various types of hand tools. The discs are separated a few inches from each other and the lower insert is held off the bottom of the bucket by a set of legs. The insert is designed to hold hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, hammers, utility knifes and the like. The configuration of the discs allows each tool to stand upright and not fall over, enabling a user to quickly find a desired hand tool.

Abstract: An inexpensive, portable, and convenient organizer for bolts and screws is provided that holds fasteners and gaskets of various types and sizes. Fasteners may be stored in a pattern according to user-preference. Fasteners held may occupy relative positions on the organizer similar to their relative positions on the original assembly to facilitate identification for proper reassembly. The organizer may be preprinted or labeled by the user to further clarify sequence, position, or other useful information about the fasteners being held.

Abstract: A tool positioning pad has a body, at least one positioning slot and two containing recesses. The body is a plastic foam block and corresponds to and is normally mounted in a tool box. The at least one positioning slot is formed in the body and each position slot has two ends and at least one non-straight section. Each non-straight section may be arced or curved and is integrally formed longitudinally in the positioning slot and has a convex inner sidewall. When a thin tool such as a spanner is placed into a positioning slot, the convex inner sidewall is deformed to press and securely hold the spanner inside the positioning slot.

Abstract: In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, a case for holding a hand tool at a point of sale is provided. The hand tool has a working end and a handle. The handle projects from the case to form a handle for the case and the case engages the hand tool such that the hand tool is prevented from being removed from the case while simultaneously, the handle can be rotated with respect to the case to test a function of the hand tool. Before the case and the hand tool is purchased the hand tool is prevented from being removed from the case; however, the handle can be rotated with respect to the case when the case is in a closed position. After the hand tool is purchased the customer can break a seal and the case may be opened, thereby allowing the tool to be removed from the case when the case is in an open position.

Abstract: A tool tote that is collapsible to reduce storage space is disclosed. The tool tote may be generally rectangular and include an upper opening facilitating access into the main compartment of the tote. The tote may include a removable rigidity enhancement device enabling the tote to be a self supporting tote when fully erected and enabling the tote to be collapsible when the rigidity enhancement device is pivoted out of position.

Abstract: Provided is an emergency gas shutoff key and a water shutoff assembly for closing a gas valve and water valve, respectively. The gas shutoff key and water shutoff assembly are sized and configured for storage near the gas valve and water valve. In particular, the gas shutoff key includes a key body having a pair of keyholes formed therein. Each keyhole is configured to receive the gas valve stem for controlling the gas valve. The gas key further includes a hook for hanging on a gas pipe, and a stem for opening the water vault. The water shutoff assembly includes a water control axle and a lever arm sized to be insertable through a bore formed within the water control axle. The water control axle includes a water keyhole sized to receive the water valve stem for controlling the water valve.

Abstract: One embodiment relates to a portable article illumination system with an enclosure disposed between openings in the interior and external surfaces of a portable article. A removable illumination device may be disposed within the enclosure such as a selectably engageable portable lighting device. The interior and exterior openings may each be substantially covered by transparent and opaque members respectively. The transparent members cover the interior and exterior openings and are disposed proximal to the enclosure with respect to the opaque members. The transparent members may further provide optical pathways between the enclosure and the interior and/or exterior region. The opaque members substantially cover the transparent members thereby optically obstructing the optical pathways which extend from the enclosure through the corresponding transparent member to the interior or exterior region.

Abstract: A firearm cleaning kit includes a case having first and second compartments joined along a fold line, and a fastener for joining together the first and second compartments. A tool compartment having at least one tool-holding cavity is secured to an interior region of the case, and a firearm cleaning tool is secured within the cavity. The kit further includes a length of material formed into a closed loop and attached to the case at a single point along the length of the loop. The kit further includes a divider piece having a single slot formed therethrough. Storage compartments are formed by the insertion of the loop of material through the slot in the divider piece. The divider piece is slideable along the length of the loop to make the storage compartments adjustable.

Abstract: Organizers for wrapping paper and related paraphernalia. Organizers of one embodiment include a storage unit with a stack of drawers with vertically oriented tubes to hold wrapping paper rolls adjacent, and exterior, to the stack of drawers. The organizer may have pockets for holding the paraphernalia exterior to the stack of drawers. A set of wheels is coupled to the stack of drawers while a handle may be recessed into the organizer. Organizers of some embodiments include a frame and elongated hollow tubes. Containers (for instance, drawers) for the paraphernalia are disposed within an interior space defined by the storage unit. Organizers of the current embodiment may include one or more pockets for gift bags. Yet another embodiment provides organizers including a frame, elongated hollow tubes, and one or more pockets disposed exterior to the frame.

Abstract: The present invention is related to an adjustable inclined tool box for holding tools. In addition, the user can comfortably lie on the tool box at an incline when working in a supine position. The incline of the tool box can be changed by adjusting the height of at least one height adjustable foot connected to the bottom of the tool box. An optional lip connected to the tool box and extending therefrom can be provided in order to provide a smooth transition from the back rest of the tool box to a cabinet space floor if being used for work under a cabinet.

Abstract: A dual compartment, dual open mouth tool bag is fabricated from flexible material forming the side and top panels of the bag and the dual access openings. Each of the separate open mouth openings provides separate access to an individual compartment within the bag. The compartments may, in an alternative embodiment, be connected one to the other or may be separated by an intermediate open top storage compartment.

Abstract: A glazier rack and tool chest apparatus for supporting and transporting large glass pieces, including window glass and providing a tool chest in a truck bed, the apparatus providing a hollow base and a top section. The top section hingedly extends to a position atop the base to form, in conjunction with the base, a slanted surface to support large pieces of glass, including window glass, at an angle for stable transport. Tracks affixed to the truck bed and track slides affixed to the base are removably and slidingly engaged for easy removal of the apparatus for multi-use of the truck bed.

The caddy can include a hinged front access panel forming a door that includes an opening for a hair dryer and its associated electrical cord. The door provides access to the interior of the housing to allow routing of the various electrical cords through an opening in the rear of the housing, as well as to allow quick stowage of the electrical cords when grooming has been completed. The caddy can also include a pair of openings disposed on the top panel that provide a holder and cord storage port for a curling or flat hair dressing iron.
