A cap having a top wall and a depending skirt with an internal peripheral snap bead abuts the shoulder on the sidewall of the container body. The top wall of the cap has a depending flexible ring seal bearing on the lip and the inside surface of the cap has channels extending downwardly along the inside surface of the skirt. Gas pressure in the container body will cause the valve in the foil seal to release gas from the interior of the container body into the space in the cap and the pressure of the gas in the ring seal is deflected from the lip to allow the gas to flow thereby and outwardly in the channels in the cap.

Abstract: The invention provides a dual-reservoir container for liquid handling. The container includes two reservoirs attached to each other by a bridge means and a base wall, and further includes an integral seal cap connected to the base wall by a fixed hinge means. The seal cap includes a lid, two annular sealing walls extending downward from the lid and adapted to seal the reservoirs, two closed dome-shaped structures extending upward from the lid and the annular sealing walls, a locking tab hingedly attached to and extending substantially co-planar with and outward from the lid, and a lid extension extending upward from the upper lid surface. The locking tab has a longitudinal slot therethrough and can be moved from its normal outwardly position to a securing position in which the longitudinal slot engages a securing member comprised in the base wall, preventing the seal cap from being unseated from the reservoirs.

Abstract: This invention describes a cap with a lid for hermetic seal tamper-proof security elements that includes a collar with an mounting portion to place and keep the cap fixed on the container and a sealing portion that enables to have hermetic sealing to prevent the contents of the container from spilling, getting contaminated or volatilizing; a lid for hermetic seal with tamper-proof security elements that has a round flat wall and a flap that runs downwards in a circular and perpendicular way from the round flat wall of such lid. The sealing portion of the collar is located adjacent to the stop wall of the mounting portion where the sealing portion is integrally formed with the stop wall of the mounting portion which is an arched wall running downwards from the stop wall. The flap of the lid has an interior diameter and an exterior diameter and in its lower end it has a portion of a rim which creates hermetic sealing through the sealing portion of the collar.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a food container assembly comprising a base and a lid wherein the base and the lid are structurally identical in one of the embodiments. The base and the lid include inter-cooperating sealing areas in the form of ridges and mating grooves. The base and the lid can be joined via a first hinge/latch combination in a mutually hingeable relationship along a pair of corresponding sides, and in addition, can be mutually secured along an opposing pair of corresponding sides via a second hinge/latch combination. According to one embodiment of the invention, the container base includes a bottom wall; a sidewall; and a peripheral rim having a ridge portion, a groove portion, a hinge flap and a locking area; wherein the container base is adapted for engagement and latching with another identical container base disposed in an inverted and superjacent relationship therewith.

Abstract: An in-groove snap fastener for securely connecting two housing members and for providing a substantially air tight seal is disclosed. The in-groove snap fastener includes a first groove member and a second groove member extending from a first housing member defining a groove therebetween. One of the groove members includes a raised surface oriented toward the other groove member and the other groove member defines an aperture. A tab member having an integral tongue portion and a locking portion extends from a second housing member in the direction of the groove. The tongue portion cooperates with the raised surface to provide an interference fit between the groove members forming a substantially airtight seal. The raised surface also urges the locking portion to cooperate with the aperture to secure the first housing member to the second housing member.
