Abstract: A system for monitoring railroad cars comprising a hatch cover assembly including a cover body, a sensor, a wireless transmitter for transmitting data received from the sensor, a wireless receiver for receiving the data from the wireless transmitter, and a satellite transmitter for transmitting the data to a satellite. The wireless receiver and the satellite transmitter are attached to the hatch cover assembly. In one embodiment, the sensor is a pressure sensor having a sensing unit situated in the plenum of a vented hatch cover. In another embodiment, the sensor is an air flow sensor having a sensing unit situated in the plenum of a vented hatch cover. In another embodiment, the sensor is a chain tension sensor attached to a handbrake chain. In another embodiment, the sensor is a hatch cover position attached to the hatch cover assembly.

Abstract: A pair of penetrating holes are formed along a longitudinal direction in the interior of a cylinder body that constitutes a fluid pressure cylinder. One end of the pair of penetrating holes is sealed by a pair of caps formed in plate-like shapes. The caps, for example, are formed by press molding a plate body made up from a metal material such as aluminum or the like. Outer edge portions of the caps include bent portions, which are inclined at a predetermined angle in a radial outward direction. In addition, the caps are installed by means of the bent portions biting into inner circumferential surfaces of the penetrating holes.

The product container has a body portion for receiving the product and a rigid end cap which sealingly engages with the body portion so as to house the product. The end cap is dimensioned to fit closely within the opening of the sleeve and includes a peripheral rim that, when the end cap is inserted into the sleeve opening, engages the sleeve end and prevents the end cap from being inserted further into the opening.

The roller shutter (12, 15) is pulled open by a stationary pin engaging therewith during insertion of the container (10), it is pulled shut by the same engagement of the pin (14) when the container (10) is pulled out of the rack (11). In the closed position, the roller shutter (12, 15) shall be locked reliably and accurately. Two locking pins (21, 22) that can be actuated by cam tracks (35, 36) extending in longitudinal direction of the rack (11) and provided at the rack (11) serve for this purpose. The first locking pin (21) serves to lock the roller shutter (12, 15), the second locking pin (22) keeps the roller shutter (12, 15) in its exactly defined closed position during the locking by the first locking pin (21). As a result thereof, position errors of the roller shutter (12, 15) during locking and unlocking are prevented.

The lid is closed on the trough and has anchor holes latchable by the drawing means and a magnetic element at the rear end corresponding to the attraction element. The drawing means can be turned to latch in the anchor holes to make the drawer to be served as a portable tool kit. The top wall of the cap has a depending flexible ring seal bearing on the lip and the inside surface of the cap has channels extending downwardly along the inside surface of the skirt. Gas pressure in the container body will cause the valve in the foil seal to release gas from the interior of the container body into the space in the cap and the pressure of the gas in the ring seal is deflected from the lip to allow the gas to flow thereby and outwardly in the channels in the cap.

The container includes two reservoirs attached to each other by a bridge means and a base wall, and further includes an integral seal cap connected to the base wall by a fixed hinge means. The locking tab has a longitudinal slot therethrough and can be moved from its normal outwardly position to a securing position in which the longitudinal slot engages a securing member comprised in the base wall, preventing the seal cap from being unseated from the reservoirs.

Abstract: An in-groove snap fastener for securely connecting two housing members and for providing a substantially air tight seal is disclosed. The in-groove snap fastener includes a first groove member and a second groove member extending from a first housing member defining a groove therebetween. One of the groove members includes a raised surface oriented toward the other groove member and the other groove member defines an aperture. A tab member having an integral tongue portion and a locking portion extends from a second housing member in the direction of the groove. The tongue portion cooperates with the raised surface to provide an interference fit between the groove members forming a substantially airtight seal. The raised surface also urges the locking portion to cooperate with the aperture to secure the first housing member to the second housing member.
