Abstract: The invention presents a method and system for check-in processes for passengers on return travel. The method involves, after arriving at a destination, electronically acquiring an originating hardcopy bag tag identifier (OP-BTI) associated with or printed on a printed bag tag from an originating airline carrier that is on a luggage item of a passenger to create a digital BTI data record linked to the originating airline carrier. The process involves accessing a B-type message using a unique identifier representative of the BTI data record from a computer system associated with an originating airline carrier linked to information of a passenger name record (PNR). The process includes retrieving check-in information of a return leg of travel of the passenger with a designated return travel carrier using information associated with the PNR, and checking in the passenger with the designated return travel carrier using the retrieved check-in information, during a check-in window.

Abstract: A system and method for card control includes a card control computing system configured to enforce a card control rule based upon transactions made with a payment card. The card control computing system includes a memory unit configured to store information associated with a card control dashboard, and a processing unit configured to cause presentation of the card control dashboard via a display associated with a remote computing device, such that the card control dashboard is associated with the payment card and the card control rule. The card control dashboard includes a user interface. The processing unit is further configured to receive an input via the user interface to activate or deactivate one or more features associated with the card control rule, and trigger the card control rule based upon the one or more features that are activated or deactivated.

The first terminal is a mobile communication terminal. The processing machine communication section transmits state information indicating a state of the money processing machine. In a case where the first reception section receives a consent operation to handle an error in the money processing machine, the first communication section transmits consent information. The error in the money processing machine is indicated by the state information. The second controller causes the second communication section to receive the consent information.

Abstract: Some embodiments of an infusion pump system can be used to determine a user's total insulin load (TIL) that provides an accurate indication of the insulin previously delivered to the user's body which has not yet acted. In particular embodiments, the TIL can account for both the bolus deliveries and the basal deliveries that have occurred over a period of time. Such information may be useful, for example, when the infusion pump is operated in conjunction with a continuous glucose monitoring device.

Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include accessing a media item that includes multiple media item segments that are to be played back in a specific manner. The method may also include generating playgraphs for the media item, where the playgraphs define different playback paths between media item segments. The method may next include selecting a specific playgraph from the generated playgraphs, and then providing the selected playgraph to a playback device. Playback of the media item according to the selected playgraph may thereby provide a customized presentation of the media item. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

An image of a diagnostic test presently viewed by a camera incorporated with the mobile device is displayed on the display screen of the mobile device. The diagnostic test has a second visual trigger thereon. The image and the first visual trigger are displayed on the display screen at a same time. An image is captured by the application of the diagnostic test responsive to alignment of the first visual trigger with the second visual trigger on the display screen of the mobile device. The captured image is processed to provide test results for the diagnostic test.

Abstract: This disclosure provides various embodiments of systems and methods for secure communications. In one aspect, the system includes a secure payment module (SPM) in a fuel dispenser and a point-of-state (POS) system. The POS system stores a public key certificate uniquely identifying the SPM and is configured to dynamically generate a first session key. The POS system encrypts the first session key with a public key associated with the public key certificate, and transmits the encrypted first session key to the SPM. The SPM, which stores a private key associated with the public key certificate, is configured to receive and decrypt the first session key. The SPM is further configured to receive a set of magnetic card data from a card reader, encrypt the set of magnetic card data with the first session key, and transmit the encrypted set of magnetic card data to the POS system.

Abstract: A method is disclosed. The method includes receiving, at a computing system, from a user, a request for an access code and one or more constraints on a use of the access code, and identifying a portable device to be associated with the access code. The method also includes obtaining, using the portable device, authorization for one or more potential interactions using the access code. The system comprises a set of servers configured to execute an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm, a set of user devices, and a database. The AI algorithm analyzes uploaded images of intended mediums for optical label placement, determines optimal placement, size, and orientation of the optical labels, and calculates individual scores for visibility, scannability, and likelihood of being noticed by potential users for each suggestion, then combines these into an overall readability score. The invention offers a user-friendly, efficient, and objective approach to optimizing optical label placement that is particularly effective for addressing considerations for physical object mediums.
