The document can include one or more decodable indicia such as a form barcode and various content fields, which delineate particular content of the document. The form barcode can include information respecting the form design and form design data. This information can be used to process the content of the document such as by providing coordinates or similar location and positioning metrics for use in processing the content of the document.

Abstract: Read head array stitching techniques are described. A card reader includes an array of magnetic sensors (a read head array) for retrieving account information from a magnetic stripe of a financial transaction card. The magnetic sensors can be arranged in rows and columns. During a card swipe, each magnetic sensor receives a series of readings. A processor determines relative bit rates for each series of readings. The processor determines which sensor corresponds to which track of the magnetic stripe based on a comparison of the relative bit rates. The processor generates a data stream for at least one track based on portions of readings from each sensor during periods of time the sensor is determined to correspond to the track.

Abstract: In general, embodiments of the invention comprise systems and methods for performing image segmentation from image data. According to certain aspects, methods of the invention include constructing a fragment tree representation of image data. An image is segmented into regions of pixels having similar image characteristics, called fragments, each fragment (region) is then compared to its neighbors to determine a graph or hierarchical relationship among all regions. Groups of fragments can be selected by an operator or automatically to define a signature of an object. This signature can then be used to search or traverse a fragment tree any image in order to identify similar objects either automatically or manually.
