  • Publication number: 20080148534
Abstract: The invention provides a spring body for a slide fastener and a slider having the spring body mounted thereon, comprising: the spring body made of a platy material having an opening window portion at the opposite side of a pawl portion, and entirely formed in a lateral C-shape; a spring piece having a figuration that a longitudinal center portion of the platy material is cut out outward from a side end portion of a main body of the opening window portion to be pulled up at a required height in many steps, disposed between a rear surface of a pull holding body and a pull with elastic contact, and the pawl portion engaged with or released from a portion of a coupling element row by operating the pull through an inside of the slider body. Consequently, it can get the spring body enabling a material and manufacturing cost reduced, a stable and excellent productivity; a slider with an automatic stop function acquiring and realizing inexpensive structure, miniaturization, and simple assembly.

  • Patent number: 7313847
Abstract: The CTF Flip-N-Zip slider enables the purchasers of a zipper with the CTF Flip-N-Zip slider installed to disconnect at least one side of a zipped zipper and return it to the starting position. Current fixed sliders are very hard to fix if a foreign object jams the zipper or if the zipper opens behind the slider. CTF Flip-N-Zip slider requires only that the owner disengage the lock and remove either the top or bottom plates or half plate depending on the design. This is shown in the drawings for a releasable latch pin of the slider. The owner would then return the zipper to the starting position and reattach and lock the slider and start over using the same slider. Other designs currently in consideration are push button releases, hinged plates with hidden lever, draw activated releases, etc. Sliders will be made to fit all available zippers and zipper materials.

  • Patent number: 6499200
Abstract: The present invention intends to provide a zipper pull of a slider for slide fastener formed of- resilient body on which no unreasonable force is applied when the fastener is opened or closed and which is always kept in a stabilized condition that it is urged to be fallen onto a slider body without swinging freely. A yoke which is a zipper pull mounting portion is mounted on a top face of a slider body. A half-annular shaped zipper pull formed of resilient body is fixed to lateral bars at front and rear ends of a rectangular connecting body longer than the slide body. A lateral bar is provided in the center of the connecting body and inserted through an automatic locking pawl lever incorporated in the yoke. Neck portions are provided in the vicinity of a fixing portion at the front and rear ends so that the zipper pull is elastically deformable easily. A grip portion is provided at a position apart from the fixing portion so that the zipper pull is easy to grip.

  • Patent number: 6394299
Abstract: A slider opens or closes an elongate, rigid reclosable fastener sealing a lid to the flange of a container where the fastener lies in a plane defining mutually orthogonal directions. The slider is slidably movable and attachable to a track disposed along the fastener defining a travel path having vector components in each of the orthogonal directions. The slider biases interlocking elements of the reclosable fastener operatively associated therewith into engagement with one another as the slider moves in a first direction and separates interlocking elements as the slider moves in a second direction opposite the first.

Abstract: A formed article of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin which has been adapted for use in a sliding member by restoring the wear resistance once degraded by the addition of reinforcing fibers to the normal level is disclosed. This formed article comprises a fiber-reinforced resin material of a thermoplastic resin containing reinforcing fibers and incorporating therein additionally as a sliding property-imparting agent a material having a storage elastic modulus in the range of 3.5×108 Pa to 5.0×108 Pa in a service temperature range of 30° C. to 70° C. The ratio of incorporation of the sliding property-imparting agent is properly in the range of 4 to 10% by weight when the matrix resin is a polyamide-based resin or 4 to 20% by weight when the matrix resin is a thermoplastic resin other than the polyamide-based resin, respectively based on the total weight of the resin and the reinforcing fibers.

  • Publication number: 20020050030
Abstract: The present invention provides a slider for an airtight and watertight slide fastener, which guides a seal member and said slide fastener stably and smoothly and which is capable of obtaining excellent airtightness and watertightness. A body of the slider has an upper wing and a lower wing with flanges on both of right and left sides, respectively, connected by a guide post. A partition plate is arranged in the middle of the guide post to form an insertion path for a seal member on an upper side thereof and form an insertion path for a linear fastener element or a discrete fastener element on a lower side thereof. A protruding bar is integrally provided at a distal end of the partition plate toward the rear port. In the case of the linear fastener element, an element pressing portion is provided therein. This slider appropriately separates the seal member and the fastener elements and guides them to have good coupling state, so as to stably effect an airtight and watertight function.

Abstract: A fastener for a top-filled tamper-evident reclosable plastic package is disclosed. The package includes first and second opposing panels joined along a pair of sides and a bottom bridging said sides. The fastener includes first and second opposing tracks along a top of the package. The first and second tracks include respective first and second interlocking profiles and respective first and second fins extending from the respective first and second profiles. The first and second fins are joined to each other at their respective lower ends. A preferential area of weakness is disposed along or near the juncture of the first and second fins. While the fastener is attached to the first panel, the fastener initially is at least partially unattached to the second panel so as to allow the package to be filled with a product via a fill opening between the fastener and the second panel. After filling the package with the product, the fill opening is sealed.
