Abstract: A chuck assembly for holding a reel is provided. The chuck assembly includes a tubular wall defining a central hole therethrough and extending along a longitudinal axis. The chuck assembly includes a flange member that is coupled to a first end portion of the tubular wall. The chuck assembly includes first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth ball roller assemblies that are coupled to the tubular wall. The chuck assembly further includes first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth gripper assemblies that are coupled to the tubular wall. The second ball roller assembly is spaced 60 degrees apart from the first ball roller assembly relative to the longitudinal axis and is disposed between the first and second gripper assemblies.
Abstract: A fiber coil mounting device is used in automated composite material layup equipment. The fiber coil mounting device includes a fiber coil mounting shaft with axial hollow structure, a fiber stop plate disposed on two sides of the fiber coil mounting shaft, and an anti-slide fiber coil tightening mechanism. The anti-slide fiber coil tightening mechanism includes a piston assembly disposed inside the axial hollow structure, a spring piece disposed on the piston assembly, a driving unit controlling an axial slide of the piston assembly, and a tightening unit driven by an axial force produced by the spring piece during the axial slide of the piston assembly.
Abstract: There is proposed a clamping mandrel for a rotationally symmetrical hollow body in the form of a beverage can integrally comprising a body portion and a bottom. Accurate coupling and precise control of the movement of the mandrel is to be transmitted to the hollow body. For that purpose there are provided a plurality of clamping segments forming an outwardly facing cylindrical clamping surface for engaging an inside surface of the hollow body. The clamping segments are radially movably guided. A force-transmission device arranged in the interior of the clamping mandrel is provided for synchronous control of the radial movement of the clamping segments. That provides for controlled precision movement of a hollow body clamped by the clamping device.
Abstract: A bobbin holder for tensioning a bobbin tube and receiving a wound thread bobbin is presented. The bobbin holder includes a rotatable drive shaft that is connected to a drive with a bearing end thereof and that has a tensioning device for tensioning a bobbin tube on a tensioning end. The tensioning device includes a plurality of bobbin tubes on the periphery of the drive shaft and interposed tensioning rings. A tensioning piston guided on the free end of the drive shaft acts upon at least one of the bobbin tubes to deform the tensioning rings. In order to allow the use of high fatigue strength materials for the tensioning ring, the tensioning ring includes a continuous separating slot on the periphery, which extends between two opposite ring ends of the tensioning ring, deformation being essentially achieved by an expansion of the tensioning ring.

Abstract: A novel positive traction permeate tube and fittings therefor are described for use in spirally wound membrane filtration elements for filtration and separation applications. Membrane filtration elements incorporate the novel permeate tube. Methods of making the novel positive traction permeate tube are also disclosed, as are the preferred sanitary stainless steel materials used for the sanitary tube and fittings. The novel permeate tube involves a sanitary tubing having two open ends, each with an end fitting. The end fittings engage a positive traction drive for high tension spiral winding of a membrane element spirally around the novel permeate tube. Membrane filtration elements made with the novel permeate tube are less subject to slippage and breakage during manufacture and can withstand higher pressure drops and flow rates during use without failure of the spirally wound membrane element. The positive traction permeate tube facilitates membrane replacements.
Abstract: A rewinding reel for rewinding a carbon ribbon or a label carrier in a label printer is provided, including a shaft, a gear, at least two sliding bases, at least two outer casing members, a resilient element, and a knob. The gear is mounted to the shaft to mate a transmission of the label printer for driving rotation of the shaft. The sliding bases are mounted to the shaft and are rotatable by the shaft. The sliding bases include movable portions that form camming projections and follower projections respectively in camming engagement with follower projections and camming faces formed on the outer casing members to radially move the outer casing members away from and toward the sliding bases for expanding and contracting the outer casing members in order to selectively loosen the carbon ribbon or the label carrier wound around the outer casing members. The knob is fixed to the movable portions and is manually depressible to move the movable portions.
Abstract: A winding spindle for mounting a plurality of yarn winding tubes, and which is formed by an inner tube and an outer tube surrounding the inner tube. The inner tube connects to a drive shaft. Between the inner tube and the outer tube, a clamping device is arranged, which comprises a plurality of clamping elements which extend through openings of the outer tube for mounting the winding tubes. The outer tube extending on the circumference of the inner tube is stayed by a plurality of support members that are arranged in an axially spaced apart relationship between the inner tube and the outer tube. To this end, the support members produce a radially acting clamping force between the inner tube and the outer tube.
