Abstract: A trash bag holder and expanding form is made from a sheet of stiff material that has at least three panels to hold a bag in an erect condition and to expand the opening of the bag into a shape that will allow the user to fill the bag with leaves or trash without having to hold the bag. The panels are separated by parallel, vertically disposed score lines that act as fold lines or hinges between the panels of the holder. The holder can be formed from high density corrugated polyurethylene (HDPE) board, recycled plastic corrugated board that may have a lap joint sealed by a sonic weld. The panels are proportioned so that the sheet material can be folded flat with the panels lying against one another. When the invention is folded into its operational configuration, the score lines act as corners such that the form is tubular or U-shaped with open ends and braces may hold panels in extended opposing relationship.

Abstract: An apparatus for filling bags includes a top plate having a plurality of holes therethrough. A plurality of cylindrical bag holders are engaged with each hole of the top plate with an end of each bag holder extending outwardly of the top plate. A stand is connected to the top plate to support the top plate above a supporting surface. A locking plate having a plurality of holes therethrough in registry with the holes of the top plate engages the outwardly extending end of each bag holder to hold a bag in place.

Abstract: A coin bag spout assembly (25) includes a clip member (26) having an open side and a tubular spout member (27) which pivots through the open side of the clip member (26) for easy removal of filled coin bags.

Abstract: A vehicle for transporting a removable product carrier having a pair of handles, such as a bag. The vehicle has a wheeled frame and a pivotal forward frame member which can be collapsed against the frame or positioned at a predetermined pivotal orientation in relation to the frame. A pair of suspension brackets, one each on the forward frame member and the frame, engage the handles of the product carrier to suspend it in the vehicle.

Abstract: A plastic bag holding assembly for holding a plastic bag in an open position so that a single user may be easily sweep debris into the open garbage bag the device includes a debris directing member with upright side walls forming a debris directing channel which provides a member for easily sweeping debris into the trash bag opening while the directing channel includes prevent debris from being swept around an outside portion of the opened plastic bag, the debris directing member also hold a flattened portioned of the opened bag in contact with a floor surface so that debris is not swept under the opened plastic bag. A "C" shaped resilient bag holding member is pivotally attached to the upright side walls and provides a maintaining member for the bag in an opened position and a holding member for the device to the opened bag.

Abstract: A bagger, with a wide opening formed by a flexible platform to receive leaves and lead the leaves into the bag, has a closed frame with projecting frame members outwardly and upwardly for supporting the flexible platform and a bag holder on top of the frame to hold the bag in an open position to store the leaves received from the flexible platform.

Abstract: A plate to facilitate the application of leverage forces onto the upper portions of a top line seal on a cereal bag in a carton, for example, whereby separating the upper bag portions and rupturing the seal can be effected by persons of limited manipulative strength as well as by those who encounter difficulty in opening such seals, whereby use of sharp implements is avoided. The plate includes a narrower slot for receiving the bag upper portions communicating with a wider central aperture whereat separating forces are applied. The plate is of sufficient width to permit the knuckles and fingers of the hand to bear against the plate for leverage when tearing the seal.

Abstract: A combination trolley and bag to receive and hold leaves and debris cleaned from a rain gutter (eavestrough). The trolley includes a pair of rolling sheaves that ride on the outside edge of the gutter to transport leaves and debris from the initial point to the next section to be cleaned or until the bag is full. Safety flaps attached to the same shaft as sheaves work as a stopper to keep the device in place in case the sheaves slide off the gutter edge. The safety flaps spin freely to by pass any obstacle in the gutter such as brackets, holding nails, or fastening devices which secure the gutter to the roof. Two support arms, which hold and secure the bag, hinge to an up position for flat and easy storage. When lifting one of the support arms and holding handle at the bottom of the bag, emptying becomes easy. Bag size is determinate by weight of leaves and debris, so when full, can be easily lifted off the gutter edge, brought down and emptied.

Abstract: A portable trash container comprising a handle having spaced-apart distal ends for carrying in one's hand at an angle to the ground where the rear distal end of the handle is carried above the front distal end; a closed loop depending from the handle; a support arm extending from and integral with the front distal end of the handle downward and rearwardly therefrom; and, a flexible bag comprising integral bag sides and an open bag top, the top peripherally mounted about the loop so that the bag extends rearward of the loop.

Abstract: A stretching apparatus includes two U-shaped frames and two pivot couplers which pivotally interconnect joint ends of the U-shaped frames. At least one coupler includes a U-shaped pivot seat and a slider. The pivot seat has two opposite upright walls and a bottom bight portion. Two adjacent joint ends of the U-shaped frames are pivotally connected to the pivot seat adjacent to the bottom bight portion to prevent downward pivotal movement of the U-shaped frames toward one another. The opposite upright walls have two pairs of positioning holes above the bottom bight portion. One of the walls has a perpendicularly extending extension plate.

Abstract: A trash discriminator device (10) for a container (12) having an open top edge (14) which holds a plastic bag (16) therein, with an upper portion (18) of the plastic bag (16) folded over the open top edge (14) of the container (12). The device (10) comprises a barrier (26) placed over the open top edge (14) of the container (12) to allow trash to enter the plastic bag (16), while preventing a tray (24) to be deposited into the plastic bag (16). A structure (28) is for attaching in a removable manner the barrier (26) onto the open top edge (14) of the container (12) on the folded over upper portion (18) of the plastic bag (16), so as to hold the plastic bag (16) in place and stop the plastic bag (16) from sliding down into the container (12).

Abstract: A bag rack for holding flexible thermoplastic bags includes a base and an upstanding support frame with the base. A bag carrier is attached to the frame and is adapted for extending through respective aligned openings in the bags for carrying the bags on the rack. A liquid container is attached to the frame, and includes a dispenser assembly for dispending a controlled amount of liquid on the fingers of a user to facilitate individual removal of the bags from the bag carrier.

Abstract: A bag holding device is disclosed. In use, the bag holding device will maintain a conventional storage bag, typically used for freezing, in an upright and opened position for facilitating packaging. The holder comprises a base stand and a removable funnel. Both the stand and funnel are oval in shape, similar to the conventional bag.

Abstract: A pool cleaning apparatus includes a head having a forward portion and a rearward portion, a debris reservoir detachably connected to the rearward portion or the head, a first deflectable blade detachably connected to a lower end of the forward portion of the head, and being movable downwardly to engage a surface of the pool in response to water flow in the direction of the debris reservoir, and a bracket for connecting a handle to the head.

Abstract: A stiffener apparatus, including first and second stiffener body sections, each stiffener section is formed as an open, octagonally shaped structure, and is provided with geometrically shaped channel that facilitate mechanically mating of one section with the other, i.e. a quasi-congruent, multi-planar surface,-snap-ring type construction, that effects a reliable compression of flexible material disposed between the two mating stiffener body sections. The open, octagonally, shaped stiffener sections are especially sized for fitting an opening of a flexible trash bag container. In use, the geometrically shaped mating channels compress the outer edges of the trash bag's opening material between multi-planar surfaces that greatly improves the compression fit in keeping the trash bag opening in an opened state, especially in heavily loaded trash bag conditions. Each one of the stiffener sections, is provided with a scoop-like edge member for channelling material into the trash bag.

The system employs a pair of bag supports formed from a length of wire. Each of the bag supports has a pair of identical ends. Each end includes an anchor portion and a bag supporting portion. The bag supporting portion is defined by first and second angled extents which define first and second distances. The first distance is adapted to be positioned over the peripheral edge of the major receptacle while the second distance is adapted to receive the peripheral edge of the minor receptacle. In this fashion the minor receptacle is supported within the major receptacle.

The completely assembled unit encompasses a support frame and a plurality of color coded transparent collection bags. The color scheme represents electronic resistors which coincide with the number codes of the Society of Plastic Industry. The recycling apparatus including an octagonal base member that has a base top and a base bottom. Included is a center post. The center post projects from the base top and has a lower end and an upper end. The upper end has a pair of upper diametric openings that extend through the pole. The upper end has a pair of lower diametric openings that extend through the pole. Four elongated dowel members are provided. Each dowel has three threaded recesses. A first dowel of the four dowels is positioned through one of the pair of upper diametric openings. A second dowel of the four dowels is positioned through another of the pair of upper diametric openings.

Abstract: A device (10) for rapidly filling sandbags (12) comprising a tray (14) having a plurality of apertures (16) therethrough. A plurality of funnel pails (18) are provided. Each funnel pail (18) is insertable through one of the apertures (16) in the tray (14). A structure (20) is for retaining upper portions of the funnel pails (18) in the apertures (16) of the tray (14). A plurality of empty sandbags (12) can be completely placed over the funnel pails (18) when the tray (14) is inverted. The tray (14) is then turned right side up, with the empty sandbags (12) on the funnel pails (18) placed upon the ground (22) and then sand (24) is shoveled into the funnel pails (18) to fill up the sandbags (12).

Abstract: A holding and raking apparatus designed to facilitate a one person operation for bagging leaves into a held open bag. The holding apparatus stores flat when not in use in order to minimize storage space. Rigid frame sides and conformable top and bottom frame rails allows the frame to be bowed temporarily into essentially a hollow semi-cylindrical shape which is held in that bowed condition by a retaining or securing strap. The lawn clipping and leaf system is further complemented by specially designed scissors-type rake. These raketongs are attached at a pivot point by a clamp or similar fastening apparatus. The raketongs pick leaves up and place them in a vertically positioned bag held in the frame by a natural spring tension at the open top of the frame. In a horizontal position on the ground the taut end of the open bag acts as a dust pan rail for easy collection of leaves and the like.

Abstract: The Easy Trash Bagger is a yard maintenance tool used to bag yard trash in disposable plastic trash bags. It is a reusable trash container that supports the bag in an upright and open position for trash loading, protects the bag from tears and ruptures during trash loading and compaction, allows the easy removal of the heavy and cumbersome filled bag from the trash container, and transports the heavy and cumbersome filled bag to the street curb for disposal by trash haulers. Indoors, it may also be used to bag household garbage in a similar manner.

Abstract: The invention is a bag stand which holds a leaf bag in an upright position and maintains the bag in an open position The bag stand has a u-shaped base which holds a support rod in a vertical position. A circular ring is attached to the top of the support rod and extends parallel with the base. A leaf bag is folded radially outward as to overlay the circular ring and are held in place by bag clips. The circular ring, support rod, and u-shaped base easily disconnect for easy storage during non use.

Abstract: A support structure, primarily for a trash or lawn bag is characterized by two identical bracing supports that are positioned to support the bag when staked into the ground. The bracing supports include a lower leg and an upper leg. Each leg is formed with a specific cross-sectional shape that allows the nesting and close coupling of the lower leg to the upper leg. An elbow or right angle member is releasably attached to the lower leg to fix the depth of the lower leg within the ground and trap the bag between the ground and the elbow member. Slidably received over the upper leg is a retainer clip having a right angle support and an opening having the same outer configuration as the cross-sectional shape of the legs such that the retainer clip may freely slide along the length of the upper leg member.

Abstract: A container for multiple, nested trash bags, characterized by a container body having bag supports extending into the container body for suspending multiple, nested trash bags in the container in open, trash-receiving configuration. The nested trash bags are placed inside the container body in open configuration and the bag supports are inserted through respective openings provided in the trash bags. After the innermost trash bag has been filled to capacity with trash, the bag is removed from the supports, gathered, sealed and lifted from the container, leaving the second inner bag in position to receive trash. In another embodiment, the supports extend inwardly from a bag support insert which is removably or fixedly mounted on the upper open end of the container body.

Abstract: A holder for collapsible bags, especially plastic bags. The holder includes a base and a support structure that extends generally upwardly from the base and has an upper portion distal the base. The holder further includes a pair of opposed mounts that each are connected to the upper portion of the support structure and are each configured to capture a respective one of the bag's straps. Each mount includes a lower surface for supporting a respective one of the bag's straps in a raised position above the base and an upper surface disposed above the lower surface for selectively retaining the strap within the corresponding mount and preventing the unintentional removal of that strap from the mount. The holder may further include a handle that is removably coupled to the support structure.

Abstract: A free-standing, one-piece bag holder made up of a resilient rolled metal. The base of the bag holder consists of two parallel base members of the rolled metal. A crossbar that is perpendicular to the base members is fixedly attached at the ends thereof to the respective base members at points on the base members which are midway between the ends of the base members. Portions of the base members extend upwardly at an angle from the opposite ends of the base members towards the mid-portions of the base members. Four legs respectively extend upwardly at right angles relative to the portions of the base members so that the sides of the bag holder diverge outwardly from one another when the bag holder is in a bag removed condition.

Abstract: A lightweight and inexpensive refuse bag holder is provided, the holder including a simple perimeter structure formed from a C-shaped rod and a tube. The holder also may include a support structure connected to the perimeter structure to support the perimeter structure. The support structure may include sled runners which facilitate the user's dragging the holder along the ground during refuse collection. The support structure also may include appropriate spikes to permit anchoring of the holder in the ground.

Abstract: A trash bag holder which includes a rectangular support frame having a peripheral lip that depends from the frame. An adjustable handle extends outwardly from the support frame. The frame is engaged by a standard plastic trash bag such that the mouth of the bag extends through, wraps over and grips the frame to hold the bag in an open condition. The handle may be set in a near vertical position for loading near the ground, and at 90.degree. to the frame for hanging on a hook mounted on a wall.

Rounded corners defined by the intersection of a bottom edge and a top edge with vertical edges, and rounded intersection corners at the intersections of the locking apertures with the vertical edges, prevent the removable internal support for a flexible bag from snagging a flexible bag in which it is installed. The locking apertures are quickly and easily released once the removable internal support for a flexible bag is in position in the flexible bag.

Abstract: A bagging apparatus and method utilizes diverging arms (A) which extend first outwardly from a handle and thence downwardly forming a curved free outer end (B) for suspending and maintaining the bag in opened position when supported by the handle (C) for carrying a heavy load of trash or leaves without puncturing or tearing the bag. The attachment of the bag is facilitated through the use of an elastic cord (D) which entraps a cuff portion of an opened bag within converging slots (F) utilizing an enlarged portion of the elastic cord pinching the bag wedged into the slot for securement of a marginal portion of the bag within the slot.

Abstract: An improved planting device is disclosed. A multitude of planting apparatuses are suspended from wires strung between opposing frame members of a supporting bench. The planting apparatuses comprise a rigid cylindrical pot into which a soft plastic, soil containing sleeve is inserted. The sleeve can be made deeper to contain a greater amount of soil by lifting the pot and pushing the soil medium downward. The invention therefore provides the means to bury the overgrown stalks of viny plants in a progressively deepening soil medium.

Abstract: An improved retainer rod for a passenger-side airbag is formed of two different plastics having different physical characteristics by a dual durometer extrusion process. The improved retainer rod has a cylindrical main body of a hard rigid plastic which can withstand bag deployment forces and a sheet-like flag of softer flexible plastic which can be sewn to the bag material.

Abstract: A device which is specifically adapted to support a colostomy bag over the opening of a toilet. This device, which facilitates the cleaning of the bag by a user or a care giver, includes a support formed from a metallic wire. This metallic wire support has a first grasping end, a second grasping end and a circular spring formed therebetween. The first grasping end is adapted to removably grasp one rim of a toilet. Oppositely positioned from the first grasping end is a second grasping end. The second grasping end is adapted to removably grasp the opposite rim of the toilet. The centrally disposed spring functions to support the upper end of a colostomy bag. Thus what has been described is a device which can support a colostomy bag over the opening of a toilet.

Abstract: A compact rack construction is provided for mounting a pack of thermoplastic grocery or retail product bags of the T-shirt type and which includes a frame and a pair of generally horizontally and outwardly extending laterally-spaced support arms for receiving the apertures in the handles of the bags in the pack at an outer end portion and for mounting the bag pack on a horizontal portion for consecutive opening and removal of the bags from the bag pack and from the rack. Each of the support arms include an upper surface and a lower surface extending horizontally from the frame to define the horizontal portion of the support arms therebetween and then extending upwardly from horizontal at predetermined different angles and being joined at outer ends to each other by a loop surface formed with a smooth radius to define the support arm outer end portion therebetween. The upward extension of said lower surface is offset forward with respect to the upward extension of said upper surface.

Abstract: A rack and bag combination in which rack is provided with a pair of parallel rods spaced apart from each other extending outwardly from a transverse support member and between which is disposed an upwardly extending hooking element. A pack of plastic T-shirt type bags is provided for mounting on the rods and hooking element of the rack, each bag having slotted central detachable portions extending downwardly from the inner edges defining the bag mouth, the detachable portions being formed by a series of scalloped cuts joined to adjacent cuts by small bridges with the cuts directed so that when the portions are detached, any tearing will extend into the detachable portions and away from the bag wall. Orifices are provided in the sides of the bags for mounting on the rods while the detachable portions are disposed on the upwardly extending hooking element with the result that the bag mouth is raised and may be opened more widely for filling with articles.

Abstract: A trash bag stand comprises a lip ring, a stand fastener, a bag securing mechanism, a drop and a bag dispenser. The bags are disposable and each bag is assumed to have, as typical, a body with a length and a lip defining the opening of the bag into the bag body, the lip having a circumference. The lip ring has a circumference approximately equal to the bag lip circumference and has a length perpendicular to the plane of its circumference substantially shorter than the length of the bag. The stand fastener fastens the ring to substantially any desired support structure. The bag securing mechanism preferably takes the form of a securing ring for securing the bag lip to the lip ring, and is hingedly fastened to the lip ring to remain with the lip ring and also be movable between a position in which the securing means secures the bag lip to the ring, and a position in which the securing means is sufficiently distant from the ring to provide for placement of the bag lip on the ring.

Abstract: A plastic bag holding device which includes a pair of hooks and a base having a front surface and a rear surface adapted to abut against a flat surface of a cabinet door. Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for partially automating the placement of litter bags in animal litter pans. The apparatus uses two pivoted arras over the tops of which the upper portion of a litter bag may be folded when the arms are extended upwardly. The arms are then pivoted downwardly to spread out the litter bag either in a litter pan or upon the base upon which the arms are pivoted. Thus the apparatus also provides a means for complete elimination of an animal litter pan. Litter may be placed within the litter bag either before it is folded over the pivot arms or after. It is preferred to use prepackaged litter containers and several prepackaged litter containers are disclosed which can be used with the particular apparatus or other apparatus including ordinary litter pans.

Abstract: A portable desk and cooperative file folder holder for use in a vehicle seat or house chair. When used in a vehicle, the desk and file holder are placed in the passenger seat next to the driver. The desk includes a horizontally disposed rectangular base member which rests on the seat when in use, and a back member pivotally attached to the base member and which rests vertically disposed adjacent the back rest of the seat when in use. The back member is lockable into the vertical position. The base member serves as a work surface for papers or a note book computer and the like, and to support the back member. The back member serves to removably support and stabilize a file holder. The file holder is structured and positioned to orient held files so that the file identification tabs commonly at the top of each file are facing the driver seat.

A structure on an exterior surface of the container below the open top is for anchoring a free edge of the bag in a released manner thereto, so that a person doesn't have to search for the free edge of the bag after it is filled with articles.

Abstract: An airbag module for a motor vehicle incorporating simplified assembly features. The airbag module assembly includes a retainer bracket element having a series of protruding tabs. These tabs are passed through slits of the airbag material and also engage slots in the module housing. The components are oriented and dimensioned such that the retainer bracket elastically deforms during assembly and allows the tabs to engage the housing slots by snapping into position.

Abstract: A flexible bag is loaded in at least two stages utilizing a loading ring of rigid plastic material having a height less than its diameter and having a height less than approximately one-half the height of the trash bag. The bag is inserted into the loading ring presenting an upper bag section surrounded by the ring section, and is filled with refuse, the lower section of the bag being in a collapsed condition beneath the ring. The ring an upper bag section are then manually shifted upwardly causing the refuse to drop by gravity into the bag lower section, after which the upper bag section is again filled with refuse material, and the loading ring is either removed depending on the bag size, or the loading ring together with the upper bag section is again shifted upwardly to present another unloaded upper bag section which is again filled with refuse. A two-stage or a three-stage loading operation is effected.

Abstract: An individual sandbagging accessory apparatus which includes a principal sandbag support portion, a plurality of removable leg members attachable to the principal sandbag support portion, for positioning the support portion above the ground; clip members for securing the upper end of a sandbag through the support system, so that once secured, there is defined an upper bag opening for delivering sand into; and a plurality of ports in the walls of the principal support portion for allowing the legs to be slidably engaged through the support portion, for defining a compact apparatus which could be secured to a backpack and easing transported.

Abstract: A lawn and garden debris collecting apparatus comprising primarily of a two component funnelled receiver and a permanent, reusable bag or a conventional trash bag. The mouth of the bag is held open by the apparatus therebetween the forward component and the rear component with a flexible strap joining together the two components. The funnelled receiver is normally placed on the ground with the bag attached thereto. Leaves from a lawn or the like is then raked into the funnelled receiver and channeled therethrough into the bag. A cut out hand hold is further included to seat the leaves and debris as needed as well as strategically repositioning and to allow the apparatus to be hung vertically from a protruding nail on a wall or the like.

Abstract: A bag holder having an inner ring and an outer ring formed as a one-piece member. The bag holder is provided with a hinge point between the inner ring and outer ring for allowing the outer ring to pivot around the inner ring. A locking member is provided for securing the outer ring in place around the inner ring to secure a bag between the inner ring and the outer ring. A release lever is provided for the locking member.

Abstract: A foldable, lightweight, bag holder which supports a refuse bag so that the mouth of the refuse bag is held fully open when the bag holder is placed in either a vertical or horizontal position. The bag holder is simple to use and allows a person to sweep leaves, grass clippings, trash or other debris directly into the horizontally positioned refuse bag without having to use his or her own hands, or the help of another person, to maintain the refuse bag mouth in a fully opened position.
