The oral soluble film preparation is prepared by first grinding aripiprazole particles to have desired small particle sizes, then blending the aripiprazole particles with film forming materials in an aqueous solution to a uniform suspension, defoaming the suspension, and coating the suspension on a substrate and drying it to form a film.

    Abstract: A method of creating a thermochromic artificial blood vessel includes physically cross-linking a polyvinyl alcohol solution in a mold shaped to mimic a blood vessel to create an artificial blood vessel. The artificial tissue is then chemically cross-linked with a solution including a chemical cross-linking reagent. A coagulation solution is then applied to the artificial blood vessel to both inhibit the chemical cross-linking and promote physical cross-linking of the artificial blood vessel. The artificial blood vessel can be used to test an ablation catheter. The vessel, when heated by the ablation catheter, changes color and/or transparency at locations where the temperature of artificial blood vessel increases.

    Abstract: A film layer is disclosed that is capable of shrinking when subjected to energy, such as heat. The film layer, for instance, can be formed and then stretched in one or two directions at a relatively low temperature. In particular, the film is stretched while the film layer is at a temperature near the glass transition temperature of the polymer used to form the film. Drawing the film at a relatively low temperature has been found to improve the shrink properties of the film. In one embodiment, the film layer is comprised of a non-modified polyester, such as polyethylene terephthalate. For example, the polyethylene terephthalate can be made by reacting terephthalic acid with ethylene glycol or polyethylene glycol.
