Abstract: A game is played on a board marked with a square array of horizontal and vertical rows of elemental squares. First and second players initially hold a set of first pieces such as black round pieces and a set of second pieces such as red round pieces, respectively. Each player alternately places a piece at an unoccupied square, trying to occupy all the locations of one horizontal or vertical row, to use up all the piece of the hand, and to capture more opponent's pieces. Each side can place a new piece if the new piece is horizontally or vertically adjacent to a comrade piece on the board. If the new piece is horizontally or vertically adjacent to an enemy piece on the board, the new piece and the adjacent enemy piece are replaced. Pieces are captured if is they are completely enclosed and there are no adjacent unoccupied locations.

Abstract: A method of tracking movement of gaming chips in casino comprising gaming chips each having an electronic circuit which transmits information, and antennas located at gaming chip placement areas. When gaming chips are placed on a first gaming chip placement area within the casino, the antenna at that first gaming chip placement area transmits a radio beam which in effect scans the electronic circuits of the gaming chips. The electronic circuits identify the gaming chips by electronically broadcasting information. Upon moving a first of the gaming chips to a second gaming chip placement area, the antenna at the second gaming chip location transmits a radio beam which scans the electronic circuit of the first gaming chip. The electronic circuit in the first gaming chip identifies the first gaming chip on the second gaming chip placement area so that the location of the first gaming chip is tracked. Abstract: A game assembly utilizing sound identification as a method of determining the length of a player's move, wherein the player forfeits his turn if he fails to recognize the sound. A first player uses a keyboard to identify a randomly-generated sound, while a second player attempts to anticipate the random sound to be generated by moving panels over certain keys of the keyboard Additionally, the game assembly keyboard includes a processor which randomly appends the generated sound with a bonus sound, the player receiving an additional turn upon successful identification of the generated sound during such a bonus condition.

  • Patent number: 5273289
Abstract: A picture puzzle assembling platform, that includes at least two inclined panels, symmetrically arranged around a central axis, such that a person can sit facing each panel to assemble a puzzle, from pieces placed on a table surface in front of the panel. Preferably, each person assembles a different puzzle on one of the inclined panels. The inclination of each panel, enables the person facing the panel, to have a direct view of the partially assembled picture puzzle, so that the person can move more quickly to locate the correct puzzle piece for each puzzle space. The panel inclination thus facilitates the puzzle assembling process, and adds to the person's interest in completing the assembly of the picture puzzle. Each inclined panel, forms a support surface for a different puzzle, so that persons sitting in front of the inclined panels, may engage in a contest, with each person trying to complete his/her puzzle before the other person completes theirs.

  • Patent number: 5261820
Abstract: The invented computer simulation playback method includes the steps of recording commands entered during use of a simulation, operating the simulation with the recorded commands and allowing new commands to be entered at any point during the step of operating the simulation with the recorded commands. More specifically, the invented method runs a simulation on a computer system that includes a user input device and a visual display. Images are shown on the display and the person using the simulation enters commands through the user input device. The commands affect the images shown on the visual display and are recorded in the sequence that they were entered. The method then runs the simulation again and automatically enters the recorded commands in the same sequence that they were recorded so that substantially the same images that were produced when the commands were initially entered are displayed again. During that step, new commands can be entered.

One embodiment comprises a casino bingo game comprising a plurality of gaming devices which each allow a player to play a first game, such as stud poker. Each of the gaming devices has at least one means for generating sound corresponding to the play of the first game. A control station is placed in communication with the gaming devices. The sound generating means of the plurality of gaming devices is responsive to the control station such that the volume of the sound corresponding to the first game can be reduced at the beginning of a bingo session, in response to a signal from the control station. The control station is also capable of generating a first signal which can be detected at the gaming devices to indicate the beginning of the bingo session.
