  • Patent number: 6702288
Abstract: A color game provides an enjoyable and entertaining activity for young children, persons learning a language, and others, in assisting those persons to associate color names with corresponding colors. The game includes a series of individual player cards or boards, with each card having a series of rows of colored positions thereon. Each row may contain identical colors for each position thereof, with the number of positions in each row being different, e.g., rows arranged in a triangular matrix, etc. Other board configurations may be provided as desired. Each player has a series of markers for placement upon the colored positions of his or her card. A caller randomly selects colored markers and announces the selected color, with players attempting to match the called color on their cards by placing markers on the appropriate card positions. The object is to completely cover all card positions.

Abstract: A device and method are set forth playing a game of Bingo while at the same time playing Poker. A processor displays a player Bingo card representing a 5×5 matrix and selects a virtue card against which the player competes. Each matrix coordinate has a Bingo number/letter assigned thereto. Bingo numbers are selected and compared to those on the matrices. At each concordance, a playing card value is assigned. The selection is terminated when the virtual Bingo card or player Bingo card obtains a predetermined Bingo. For any predetermined patterns formed by card values on the player Bingo card, the player receives an award. Also the player can select a row, column or diagonal and use the selected cards to form a Poker hand. If the player obtains a predetermined Poker holding, the played receives and award.

  • Patent number: 6645070
Abstract: Some popular games suitable for stimulating imagination and exercising logic and deductive skills, such as Tic-Tac-Toe, rapidly lose their utility with respect to stimulating imagination or exercising logic or deductive skills due to the static nature of their play and the limited numbers of moves available. Three dimensional games such as a three-dimensional Tic-Tac-Toe game having greater than nine total substructures is more challenging for game players, although one drawback is the inability of the players to easily visualize, and thereby comprehend, the choices a three dimensional playing surface provides. The present invention provides a three dimensional game with an expanded number of moves available as well as a rotatable playing structure where each substructure within the playing structure has mutatable characteristics when viewed prospectively, allowing players to more easily visualize, and thereby comprehend, the choices three dimensional playing surfaces provide.

The game device also includes first and second sets of playing pieces respectively used by first and second players. At least three of the first and second sets of the playing pieces are placed into at least three of the plurality of zones of the game board until at least three of the first playing pieces or at least three of the second playing pieces have been placed in one of the plurality of rows, one of the plurality of columns or one of the plurality of diagonals. The game device also includes first and second sets of cards, respectively distributed to the first and second players. Each of the first and second cards having respective first and second rankings associated therewith. To determine which playing piece is to be placed in one of the zones of the game board, the rankings of the first and second cards are compared to each other.

Abstract: A four dimensional game and a three dimensional apparatus (10) used for playing the game are disclosed. The game consists of a playing field divided into playing zones (420) of equal receptivity to all playing tokens, there being at least two mutually distinguishable groups of playing tokens. In a preferred embodiment, the game is played on a three dimensional playing field. Players place three or more distinct kinds of playing tokens one-per-turn onto the initially empty playing field according to a continuous and sequential order, such that the kind of token added to the playing field is governed entirely by the given turn in a manner known and predictable to all players.

  • Patent number: 5318307
Abstract: A game of skill and strategy that can be played on almost any surfaces (grass, sand, water, cement, etc.), indoors as well as outdoors. This game shows some resemblance with "tic-tac-toe". The game comprises a reception frame divided into nine squares and four groups of disks, two for each player. The squares from targets to be hit with the disks. The first set of disks is made up of at least nine disks of the same diameter, density and thickness. The second set has only three disks of a larger diameter than those of the first group. The larger size of the disks of the second set makes them harder to lodge in the target squares. This is compensated by the fact that a larger disk can remove one of the opponent's disks and take possession of the square. First, the players take turns trying to toss the small disk into the squares. After this phase, they use the larger disks to try to dislodge the opposing player's disks and gain an advantage on him.

The game is played with two or more players. Each player has a set of normal pieces and a "star piece" distinguishable from the normal pieces. The goal of each player is to be the first to complete the formation of three straight lines each with three two normal pieces and a "star piece" randomly selected. The three straight lines can be diagonal, vertical, or horizontal in any direction. The "star piece" can only be played on the "star point", which is the middle square of the middle board. Another version of the game has four boards with two possible star points, one which is the middle square of the board next to the top board and one which is the middle square of the board next to the bottom board.
