Abstract: According to one embodiment, an assembly ball includes a plurality of strips having a circumferential length. The strips are assembled convexly outward as viewed in the radial direction so as to substantially form a sphere as a whole. The strips each overlap other strips at their respective strip overlapping portions where the strips intersect with one another. The strip overlapping portions are joined by a strip joining member.

Abstract: A tossing game includes placing two floating goals spaced apart in a body of water, each goal defining a scoring region. The participants add an amount of water to cups and toss the cups in the direction of one of the goals for at least two turns, with the participants awarded points in response to the cups being tossed into the scoring region. Each filling of the cup during a participant's turn adds variability to the game, challenging the participants to determine a suitable amount of water to be placed in the cup for their own throwing technique as well as to repeatedly add approximately the same amount of water on subsequent turns once the participants have determined the fill level that best suits them.

Abstract: An exemplary gaming system, in one implementation, provides active interaction between one or more players and the gaming system. Such an exemplary gaming system includes a receptacle with one or more holes to receive first gaming objects thrown at it. Chambers attached to a rigid member on the receptacle receive and store second gaming objects that are later released into one or more different spatial directions. An intermediate surface operably connected to a mechanical or an electrical triggering mechanism is included in the receptacle. When the first gaming object falls into the receptacle and hits the intermediate surface, the intermediate surface causes activation of the triggering mechanism to directly or indirectly propel the second gaming objects, through the chambers, into one or more different spatial directions. A hand or foot lever allows players to reset the triggering mechanism for the next game.

Abstract: A tossing game is disclosed. The game can comprise two stations, and each station can comprise a plurality of targets. The targets can comprise an opening, and players can attempt to toss tossing articles into the openings of the targets. Scoring for the game can be implemented in a number of ways. In one method, for example, points can be awarded for each target based on whether a first player or second player was the most recent player to toss a tossing article into that target. The number of points awarded can be a function of a given point value assigned to that target. The game can be played in a variety of ways, and can provide seemingly endless hours of fun and entertainment.

Abstract: A form for constructing a thrower's circle includes a pair of half sections. Each half section has an upper surface and a base surface and two full length members and two half length members. The full length members and the half length members are connected together substantially at right angles to form a rectangle with four corners. A corner brace is located in each of the four corners. An inside cross member and an outside cross member extend between the half length members and are generally parallel to the full length members. A pair of semi-circles, each having substantially the same diameter that is larger than the length of the half length members and less than the length of the full length members. Means are provided for securing the half sections together so that the semi-circles form a full circle. Tubes extend from the circle toward the base to drain water from with in the circle.

Abstract: A beer pong system that includes a catch component and a stabilization component. The catch component is configured to be disposed within a hollow cavity of a cup and comprises a compliant surface to aid in preventing a ping pong ball thrown into the hollow cavity from bouncing out. Versions of the catch component include a filler material-filled pouch, a filler material-filled retainer, a catch membrane, and uncontained catch material. The stabilization component stabilizes the cup in an upright position and includes, among other versions, a weight configured to be disposed within the hollow cavity of the cup. The beer pong system enables players to play beer pong with stable cups and ball retention without requiring uncontained liquid in the cup.

Abstract: A game apparatus with pivotally mounted cup holders is disclosed. The apparatus includes a game board and a plurality of cup holders pivotally secured to a vertical surface of the game board. The cup holders are configured to pivot relative to the vertical surface of the game board to hold a cup at an angle. In addition, the game board includes a cavity formed into the game board for each cup holder, where the cavity is configured to receive and support a portion of a bottom edge of a cup. A depression is formed into the game board and configured to receive a respective cup holder to lay flat when the cup holder is pivoted against the game board. Further, the plurality of cup holders are disposed in a triangular formation on the game board and configured for cups to be placed adjacent to one another.

Abstract: A gaming system comprised of an elongated projectile and a target for said projectile to be projected into. The system includes a projectile and a target. The projectile has a head, an elongated shaft coupled to the head, and a tail coupled to a rear end of the shaft. The tail has a mechanical adapter for coupling the projectile to a projecting device. The head has a shock absorber coupled to a penetration prevention device. The head prevents the projectile from penetrating into a target. The target has at least one aperture located on the external surface of the target and an immobilizer for immobilizing a projectile which has entered the aperture.

Abstract: A slide and toss game is provided. The slide and toss game includes a game board. The game board includes a first scoring end, a second scoring end, and a body portion in between the first scoring end and the second scoring end. The body portion may include a width w larger than the width w of the first scoring end and the second scoring end. The first scoring end may include a first goal opening, and the second scoring end may include a second goal opening. The present invention may further include at least one scoring member sized to fit within each of the first goal opening and the second goal opening.

Abstract: A flying disc target which includes a frame having a plurality of adjustable legs and a support member having a plurality of hinges, each leg coupled to a hinge of the support member and a target member detachably coupled to the frame, the target member having a first surface and an opposing second surface, the target member includes at least one pocket extending from the first surface toward the second surface, wherein the pocket is configured to receive and store a flying disc.

Abstract: A recreational amusement takes the form a cooler having a toss-type game board integrated with the cooler's lid. The toss-type game board includes one or more cavities in the top of the lid. Provision is made for orienting the top of the lid in a sloping position for play of the game enabled by the game board. The cooler retains all conventional features of a beverage type cooler and, in particular, the characteristic of the interior space of the cooler being substantially sealed off from the environment about the cooler by placement atop the body of the cooler of the lid.

Abstract: An apparatus for playing a drinking game includes a base support member and a vertical pole extending upwardly from the base support member. A vertically extending backboard is secured to the pole adjacent the top thereof and a plurality of hoops are removably secured to the backboard. Plastic drinking cups are held in each of the hoops. The apparatus further includes a plurality of ping pong balls capable of being tossed into and maintained in the cups. The entire apparatus can be disassembled so that it is portable. That is, the hoops are removably secured to the backboard which is removably secured to the vertical pole. In addition, the vertical pole is comprised of several pole sections that fit together in a telescoping manner. The base includes a carrying handle and functions as a carrying case for holding and transporting the pole sections and the hoops with the backboard serving as a cover for the case.

Abstract: An adapter for modifying a cornhole platform. The adapter may include an insert that may fit within the opening of the cornhole platform. Attached to the insert may be at least one barrier including sidewalls that may rest on the surface of the cornhole platform when the insert is within the opening. The barrier may include multiple rings attached to the insert.

Abstract: A method for installing a thrower's circle in the ground of an athletic field includes assembling a form for constructing a thrower's circle dimensioned for a player throwing at least one of a hammer, a shot put, and a discus from a plurality of sections having mounted thereto a plurality of arcuate portions. When the plurality of sections are assembled together, the plurality of arcuate sections together form a full circle, and wherein a portion of the plurality of sections is disposed outside the full circle and a portion of the plurality of sections is disposed inside the full circle. The method further includes excavating the ground, placing the assembled form in the excavated ground, placing cement in the assembled form, and allowing the cement to dry.

The top panel is disposed laterally between the left panel and the right panel, with the top panel oriented substantially perpendicular to the left and right panels. Abstract: The present invention generally relates to drinking games and apparatuses for the use therewith. Specifically, this invention relates to an improved drinking game component and cup alignment apparatus for use with various drinking games. The drinking game cup or attachment and cup alignment apparatus may be designed in such a manner as to allow for simplified, accurate and reliable positioning of one or more drinking cups on a playing surface.

Abstract: An improvement on a bean-bag game-board that allows the user to fold up the game boards into a case and easily carry them around with the bean bags inside. The popular game is known by names like “bag toss”, “bags”, “tailgate toss” or “cornhole”. The present invention is a light-weight, easy to use and carry version of the original game that takes up minimal space when consolidated for storage. Lightweight construction allows one game board to fit within the other while forming a case for game bags. A handle for carrying that also acts as a hinge-free and locking fastener for easy assembly when game set is packed for carrying or storage. Folding legs allow the boards to fit together in a small space and have an offset pivot point that provides the strength of having three points of contact when in the open position.

Two sidewalls are disposed on opposing sides of the playing surface and rise up therefrom.

In certain other embodiments, the present disclosure is directed to devices and methods that allow a user to provide a payment mechanism, and upon the acceptance of the payment mechanism, a game table will move a plurality of cups from a storage position to a playing position. In some embodiments, provision is made for the dispensing of a liquid drink or other reward when predetermined actions occur during play of the game. Although the presently disclosed embodiments will work with any game requiring cups for play, the disclosure makes reference to the game of Beer Pong for convenience of description.

Abstract: A slingshot-like skill game device comprises a body and a handle attached to the body. The body includes an opening designed to permit a ball to pass therethrough. When the slingshot-like skill game device is outfitted with a ball attached thereto by an elongated elastic cord, a user may grasp the handle with one hand, grasp the ball with another hand, pull the ball away from the body, and then release the ball with the object of getting the ball to pass through the opening on release. A ring-shaped insert may be attached to the opening, so as to decrease the diameter of the opening and thereby increase the level of difficulty required for a user of the slingshot-like skill game device to get the ball to pass through the opening. Additional ring-shaped inserts of varying diameters may also be provided to further increase the level of difficulty for a user of the slingshot-like skill game device. The body may include one or more light sources that may be activated when a ball passes through the opening.

Abstract: A manual game is provided which simulates American football. The game has a playing surface with multiple openings having indicia associated with football activities, and players toss game pieces at the surface in order to achieve football action determined by the indicia of the opening into which a game piece drops. The game includes a goal the structure with a pair of uprights, and players attempt to score field goals and points after touchdown by tossing a game piece between the uprights. A plurality of template plates are provided to effect different games, and each template plate has a subset of the openings and covers at least one of them. As a result, different games are available with different patterns of openings. A blank, planar form is provided which can be folded and assembled into a game chassis which includes the playing surface.

Abstract: A convertible game assembly comprises a convertible frame having at least one adjustable joint separating a back frame portion and a front frame portion. The front frame portion is configured to pivot upward and backward about the adjustable joint to convert the frame from an open to a closed configuration. The assembly further includes an elevated back target piece coupled to the back frame portion and a front target piece coupled to the front frame portion. The frame is positionable in an open configuration to allow a game player to throw projectiles toward the back target piece, with the open configuration defining a first player position. Additionally, the frame is positionable in a closed configuration to allow a game player to kick projectiles toward the front target piece, with the closed configuration defining a second player position closer to the back frame portion than the first player position.

Abstract: An amusement device that includes a horizontally oriented rotating wheel having a plurality of apertures through the wheel and a release mechanism that will release game pieces from a location above the wheel is disclosed. The game can be played by exercising skill or it can be configured to result in a random outcome. In the skilled based embodiment of the invention, a user tries to time the activation of the release mechanism so that a high energy ball drops down from the release mechanism and falls through the rotating wheel. If a ball passes directly through the wheel, the ball is detected by a detector that is positioned below the wheel and an award is provided to the player. In an alternative embodiment of the device, the device is designed to release a plurality of balls which will bounce and roll on the rotating wheel until they are captured in apertures that are provided through the wheel.

Abstract: A washer tossing game for players to score the tossing of projectiles, including a storage container comprised of plural receiving boxes at least two of which are positioned in juxtaposed positions each box having a receiver base for receiving a removable center section, the removable center section being adapted to receive plural tossed projectiles. Alternatively, the game may include beveled center sections which are received by the receiver bases. Optionally, the game can include alternative center sections, allowing the game to be adapted to varying skill levels. In addition, the game may optionally include additional features including visual highlights, protective sidewall curbing and impact resistant lining to protect the boxes from the impact of the thrown projectiles. A carrying case and a handle may also be provided allowing the game to be easily transported.

The structure further includes a backstop having upper and lower portions. The upper portion is curved about a vertical axis to define a concave surface in the form of a partial cylinder. The lower portion is curved about horizontal and vertical axes in the form of a partial bowl.

Abstract: A tossing game preferably includes an even number of tossing discs, a target disc, a retaining wire, a disc retrieval wand and a portable play surface. The tossing discs come in at least two colors and the target disc is a different color than any of the tossing discs. The retaining wire retains the discs and is also used to measure the distance between the tossing discs and the target disc. The disc retrieval wand includes a rod, a scoop and a magnetic ring. The magnetic ring is slidably engaged with the rod. The scoop is attached adjacent one end of the rod. Sand is preferably placed in the portable play surface. The portable play surface is preferably raised to accommodate play and removal of discs by the physically challenged. Each disc may be retrieved from the play surface with the magnetic ring and dropped into the scoop.

Abstract: A tossing game with apparatus and an accompanying method of play, the apparatus comprising a target surface, a plurality of tossing disks, and a scoring peg. The game offers opportunity for variety and strategy of play by allowing for a multiplicity of games with the same apparatus, thereby increasing the enjoyment of the participants. A plurality of lightweight rings, sized for mating reception within the ring-receiving bores, is provided for tossing. A point system is disclosed wherein points are awarded to a player upon successfully tossing his or her ring(s) into the target structure bores, and points are deducted when a player exceeds a predetermined score and/or when certain tosses result in point reduction. Scoreboards are provided for all players to facilitate score keeping.
