A first cylinder mounting bracket extends in the longitudinal direction and has at least one aperture disposed along the length of the bracket for locating and securing the hydraulic cylinder to a structure. A manifold mounting portion extends in the longitudinal direction of the main body portion and has a first fluid passageway extending in the longitudinal direction from the first end to the second end. Thus, a manifold can be mounted to the manifold mounting portion at one of a plurality of different positions and/or orientations along the length of the hydraulic cylinder while allowing fluid communication between a fluid port of the manifold and the fluid passageway of the manifold mounting portion.

Abstract: A crankshaft is cast in a mold to define a plurality of pin bearing journals and a plurality of main bearing journals, at least one of each has a hollow section extending therethrough. A single core is positioned within the mold to form all of the hollow sections. The single core may include a cross-section defining an elliptical shape to form hollow sections having an elliptical cross-sectional shape to further reduce the weight of the crankshaft. The hollow sections are each positioned along a path that minimizes stress within the crankshaft. The path may include a non-linear path relative to a longitudinal axis of the crankshaft or a linear path angled relative to the longitudinal axis to bend or direct the hollow sections away from high stress regions of the crankshaft. The non-circular cross section of the core may spiral about its own axis to maximize mass reduction.

Abstract: A remelting type thread element for a parallel dual-screw extruder and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The thread element includes a body (101) and a nickel-based tungsten carbide spray welding layer (102). Wherein, the nickel-based tungsten carbide spray welding layer is uniformly and eccentrically remelted on the external surface of the body. The manufacturing method comprises a steel billet casting process, a spray welding process, a remelting process and a machining process. The wearing resistance and corrosion resistance of the thread element are superior to the property of the domestic high-speed tool steel; it has reasonable structure, advanced process and low cost. The thread element has high property and price ratio, better social and economic benefit, and wide popularization and application value.

Abstract: An internal gear manufacturing method capable of manufacturing time reduction and easy core removal, and a metallic glass internal gear manufactured thereby. A carbon core formed into a shape of an external gear is arranged in a thin, long tubular mold of a length equal thereto with a space extending longitudinally therealong. A molten metal material is pressure-injected under a temperature higher than a melting point thereof into the space between the mold and the core. The molten metal material is resolidified by rapid cooling at or above a critical cooling rate thereof together with the mold and the core. After resolidification of the molten metal material, the core is removed by pulverization or dissolution. Along internal gear formed of the resolidified metal material is cut into a plurality of segments of a prescribed length.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a bi-material sleeve is provided. The sleeve includes an annular outer sleeve and an annular inner sleeve bonded to each other. The bottom pouring of the outer sleeve is carried out in a casting space delimited by a wall of a first ingot mold and by an outer upwardly moveable wall of a second ingot mold concentric with the first. The moveable wall of the second ingot mold is raised so as to uncover the skin of the outer sleeve which has solidified thereagainst. The bottom pouring and the solidification of the inner sleeve are carried out in a casting space delimited by said skin and an inner stationary wall of said second ingot mold, the bonding of both sleeves being effected by diffusion between said sleeves. Forging and/or machining of one of said bonded sleeves are optionally carried out. A device for using this method and a sleeve produced by this method are also provided.

Abstract: A spark plug orientation method may include forming a spark plug housing by advancing a tool a first distance in a first axial direction into a spark plug bore to create a spark plug seat using a seat forming portion of the tool. The tool may be displaced a second distance in a second axial direction generally opposite the first axial direction to provide a predetermined axial orientation between the thread forming portion of the tool and the spark plug seat. The spark plug bore may be engaged at a first predetermined rotational position and the tool may be displaced in an orbital motion and in the second axial direction at a predetermined rate to form a threading on the spark plug bore providing a starting point of the threading at a second predetermined rotational position proximate the spark plug seat.

Abstract: A detent system that includes a plurality of detent recesses formed in a first component, a detent pin that selectively engages at least one of the detent recesses, a linkage connected to the detent pin, and a detent button that is associated with a second component. There is preferably a slot formed in at least one of the detent button and the detent pin, where each slot slidably receives an end portion of the linkage. The detent system is preferably configured and arranged such that applying a force to the detent button to move the detent button in a first direction causes the linkage to move in a second direction, which is different than the first direction, thereby resulting in disengagement between an engaging portion of the detent pin and a relevant one, or more, of the detent recesses. Such disengagement allows for relative movement between the two components.
