Abstract: An electrical panel lockout that locks the electrical panel door closed and prevents the panel cover from being removed. Two telescoping hollow tubes extend between two panel screws. Two slots in the ends of the hollow tubes slide under the screw heads of each of the loosened panel screws. The outer hollow tube and inner hollow tube extend across the panel door keeping it locked closed. The shackle of a padlock is inserted into one of the openings of the inner hollow tube to keep the device locked in the extended position onto the panel screws. The screw heads are encapsulated by the device rendering them inaccessible and preventing the electrical panel cover from being removed. Abstract: A door check device includes a first link member engaging structure including a first link member engaging member mounted to a first carrier, a second link member engaging structure including a second link member engaging member mounted to a second carrier, a housing, and an elongated link member. The first engaging structure and the second engaging structure are each constructed and arranged such that, when the link member is caused to undergo a yaw movement relative to the housing generally along a yaw plane that extends in both the transverse direction and the longitudinal extent of the link member, the first and second carriers and the first and second engaging members mounted thereto, respectively, are allowed to rotate relative to the housing along with the link member such that the first and second engaging members remain in transverse relation to the link member.

Abstract: A deadbolt latch body externally mounted to an interior door encasement by an unconventional method. The latch assembly, including a slotted receiver member fastened to a hinged door adjacent the latch, includes a crank-shaped shot bolt carried by the latch body for engagement with the slotted receiver. The latch bolt has al least two biased indented positions. The latch assembly may include a more secure dead bolt striker plate for existing internal dead bolts that provides even greater security when the striker plate is extended from between the door and the casement and secured between the security door latch body and the door casing. A unique mounting is provided for the latch body by providing a threaded mounting stud extending from the interior located latch body through the door encasement and retained exteriorly by a recessed threaded collar.

Abstract: A security door lock that is secured by two lag bolts to the vertical wall studs forming a doorway frame. The security door lock is installed directly opposite a doorknob on the door and it has a vertically oriented base plate having at least one vertically oriented groove. A pair of cable tensioning sliders are reciprocally mounted in the vertically oriented groove. A cable has its opposite ends secured to the base plate and the cable passes around the respective cable tensioning sliders. A spring connected between the respective cable tensioning sliders keep them biased away from each other when the cable has not been looped over the doorknob. A cover plate is detachably secured to the base plate and a chamber is formed therebetween into which the cable returns when it is not being used.

Abstract: An automobile door checker includes a check plate, a shoe holder housed in a case, a shoe that is held by the shoe holder and slides on the check plate accompanying relative movement between the case and the check plate, and a check spring that resiliently urges the shoe holder toward the check plate in order to press the shoe against the check plate. The shoe is axially supported in the shoe holder so that the shoe can swing from a neutral position to forward and backward swing limits. The shoe is provided with return-to-neutral means for exhibiting a return force that makes the shoe return to the neutral position. The contact area between the shoe and the check plate is arranged so that the frictional force in the contact area becomes the smallest when the shoe reaches the shoe swing limits.

  • Patent number: 6659517
Abstract: In an apparatus for transmitting and method a movement which, as a function of a first, translational movement of a first coupling element to which a first component can be coupled, produces a translational movement of a second coupling element to which a second component can be coupled. The invention provides that the first and the second coupling element are connected to one another, such that they can move by a first rigid element, and in that the first coupling element is connected to a first lever which is mounted in a fixed position, and the second coupling element is connected to a second lever which is mounted in a fixed position. When a movement is being transmitted, the arrangement thus results in the capability first of all to retard the movement of the second component and later to accelerate it again in a corresponding manner, or vice versa.

Abstract: In this incubator, the door rotation restricting means in the operating state restrains the rotation of the door in the opening direction beyond the operating angle. Thus, in the case that the door rotation restricting means is in the operating state, even if the door is pushed by the accommodated baby from the inside of the hood under the state wherein the door is not fixed by the door fixing means in a closing state, the door does not rotate in the opening direction beyond the operating angle and the angle of the door does not exceed the operating angle. Therefore, even if opening and closing operation of the nursing window is not securely performed, at least the environment inside the hood hardly deviates from the physiological environment appropriate for the accommodated baby.
