  • Patent number: 10767375
Abstract: A mechanism to secure the base of a pole to the lid of a flatbox finisher is provided. The mechanism utilizes at least one spring grasping device on the lid of the flat box finisher to grasp and secure the base of the pole. The grasping mechanism is depressed and grasps a generally flat rectangular edge of the base of the pole and secures the base of the pole to the lid of the flatbox finisher by friction. In particular, as the base having the pole of the flatbox finisher is first slid over the grasping mechanism, the grasping mechanism is first pushed downward. After the base slides over the grasping mechanism, the grasping mechanism springs back upward and locks the base of the pole into place on the lid of the flatbox finisher.

  • Patent number: 9441337
Abstract: An embedded housing system storing cables below the surface in a protected environment, with a moveable surface lid lying flush with the existing surface and following the crown or slope across the travel path. The cables are readily raised out of the housing structure to obstruct traffic across the travel path, or lowered into the housing system to allow unobstructed traffic passage. Single cables, multiple cables, and utility lines can be enclosed and remain protected within the housing support structure. Once raised, the cables can be attached to an end support. The housing support structure is prefabricated in sections, selectively attached to match the existing crown or slope across the travel path, and then installed below the surface. Abstract: A latch assembly is provided for a holding a vehicle endgate in a closed position. The assembly includes a latch pin having a main shaft disposed generally along an axis and a projection that is spaced apart from and projects toward the main shaft axis. A first receiving member is connected to one of a vehicle frame and the endgate and has a hole for receiving the latch pin main shaft. A second receiving member is connected to the other of the frame and the endgate and has a hole for receiving the latch pin main shaft. The first receiving hole and the second receiving member hole are in alignment when the endgate is in the closed position. The first receiving member includes an inclined annular groove for receiving the latch pin projection. When the latch pin projection is disposed in the annular groove, gravity will impede the latch pin projection from exiting the groove.

Abstract: A lock mechanism for a sliding object includes a slide arm, a rotating lever, and urging means. When an external pressing force presses the slide arm member in opposition to an urging force imparted by the urging means, the slide arm member is moved along a slide path, thereby causing the rotating lever member to rotate. When the slide arm member is pressed further, the tip of the rotating lever member rides onto and is stopped against the lateral surface of the slide arm member, such that the slide arm member and the rotating lever member remain stopped at the current position even if the pressing force is released.

Abstract: A latch has a bushing which has at least one bushing projection or means for preventing insertion of an unauthorized tool to rotate a latch actuator of the latch. Only a key having an outer key recess which can mate with bushing projection on the bushing permits insertion of the key. The cap subassembly of the latch is provided with projections which are of a size and so positioned as to correspond with the internal recesses of the key so as to allow the cap subassembly to enter into the bore of the key and permit a mating engagement of internal recesses on the key and projections on the cap subassembly. Because cap portion rotates freely on top of the cap subassembly which is the part of the cap driven by the key, the arrangement makes it impossible, or at least very difficult, to rotate the shaft and in turn the pawl by means of a tool which rotates the cap portion.
