Abstract: There is provided a panel-shaped seat back frame used for a seat back of a vehicle seat. The panel-shaped seat back frame includes a basic frame member configured by a metallic rod-shaped material, and a panel-shaped forming member which is made of a hard foamed resin and covers the basic frame member.
Abstract: A vehicle seat includes: a seat cushion; a seatback; and a headrest. The seatback includes an upper frame and side frames. The side frame includes a side face portion, a first flange portion formed by bending a front side of the side face portion toward a seat inward side, and a second flange portion formed by bending a rear side of the side face portion toward the seat inward side. The upper frame is placed between the first flange portion and the second flange portion so as to be fixed to the flange portions, and the upper frame is connected to the side face portion, so that a relative movement between the upper frame and the side face portion is regulated.
Abstract: Paired mounting portions to which holders are attached are each formed as a notch or a through hole extending in an up-down direction of an upper frame, so that the paired mounting portions are disposed across a central position of the upper frame in a seat-width direction, and the holders are attached to the paired mounting portions, respectively, and then fixed to an upper face portion and a lower face portion of the upper frame at a seat rearward position relative to a seating face portion of the upper frame.
Abstract: A vehicle head restraint assembly has a guide member mounted proximate to a vehicle seat back. A head restraint is mounted to another guide member. A button actuator is mounted to an outboard side of the head restraint for movement of the button actuator in a direction perpendicular to a lateral direction of the head restraint. A locking mechanism cooperates with the first guide member and the second guide member for locking the second guide member relative to the first guide member. The locking mechanism is connected to the button actuator so that actuation of the button actuator disengages the locking mechanism and permits adjustment of the position of the head restraint relative to the vehicle seat back.
Abstract: A head rest for motor vehicle seats has a center part and side parts that are arranged on either side of the center part and can be adjusted relative to the center part to provide lateral support of the head. At least one hollow body that can be filled with fluid is provided, by the filling of which the at least one side part is pivoted in the direction of the area in which the head is accommodated. Two lever arms pivotable about a respective pivot axis are provided, each having a first lever arm section and a second lever arm section arranged at the opposite end of the first lever arm section. The first of the lever arm sections lie in the stroke range of the hollow body and the second of the lever arm sections cooperates with a side part.
Abstract: A seat structure is configured to allow three passengers to be seated, respectively, in a left seat (1L), a right seat (1R), and a region striding across a boundary between the right and left seats (1R, 1L). The left seat (1L) can be slid leftward to create a walk-through space (S) between the right and left seats (1R, 1L). A headrest (1c) for a middle seat passenger seated between the right and left seats (1R, 1L) is split into right and left split headrests each supported on a top of a seat back of a corresponding seat. The middle seat passenger's left split headrest (1c-L) is moved with the left seat (1L) when sliding the left seat (1L) to allow the right and left seats (1R, 1L) to become spaced apart from each other so as to unblock the walk-through space (S).
Abstract: Certain embodiments provide a head array system for a power wheelchair, including a head array body and one or more lateral arms. The head array body includes shafts. Each of the shafts includes lateral arm receiving sections. The one or more lateral arms are detachably coupled to one of the lateral arm receiving sections of one of the shafts.

Abstract: A head rest for a vehicle seat includes: at least one first section that is oriented towards the head of the seat occupant, a second section, and a third section, wherein the second section is arranged essentially between the first and third sections. In the event of an accident, the first section can be displaced in the direction of displacement, due to the effect of a relative displacement of the second section from a working position into a safety position in the direction of the head of the seat occupant. The relative movement of the sections is a rotation about an essentially parallel rotational axis in the direction of displacement. A mounting of the first section in relation to the second section is provided during the relative displacement about the rotational axis. Abstract: A head-rest of a vehicle seat with a deformable central supporting body which forms an impact zone for the head of a vehicle occupant and into which the kinetic energy of the head in the event of an accident is admitted. On both sides of the impact zone the central supporting bodies are joined by lateral supporting surfaces which are extendable out of the plane of the head-rest in the direction of travel in order to laterally support the head. In order to avoid or at least to reduce the risk of a cervical-spine whiplash injury, it is proposed according to the invention that the head-rest comprises a device for absorbing the energy admitted into the central supporting body and for outputting the absorbed energy in order to activate lateral supporting surfaces.

Abstract: A headrest with a function of a dynamic damper that damps vibrations of a vehicle seat, and provide the headrest with an impact absorbing function with respect to a head portion of a seated vehicle occupant. A stay of a headrest is held at a seat back, and a cover, that covers at least a portion of the stay, is supported at the stay so as to be swingable in a seat front-rear direction around a seat transverse direction. Due to a torsion coil spring (an elastic member) elastically deforming when the cover swings, restoring force in a direction opposing a swinging direction of the cover is generated. Further, displacement other than in the swinging direction is suppressed by a suppressing portion that is provided between the stay and the cover.
