Abstract: A safety razor comprises a handle, a blade element movable relative to the handle in a direction which substantially corresponds to the direction of a working stroke, and an elastic element located between the handle and the blade element as considered in this direction.
Abstract: A flexible blade contour razor system is provided for shaving rounded or variably contoured shaving surfaces. The system includes a long, flexible blade carried by a plurality of blade-holder housings. Said blade-holder housings are connected by connecting means such as ribs, resilient foam, soft rubber or spring means to a handle.Hinges generally connect each blade-holder housing to an adjacent blade-holder housing.Said flexible blade contour razor system is adapted to flex during any single shaving stroke in order to conform to and closely shave any contoured surface of the body. Thus, a uniform, very wide, unbroken shaving swatch is achieved.
Abstract: A throw away razor type eyebrow trimmer having a narrow straight cutting surface has front and rear guards to reduce the danger of cutting the skin with the sharp edge of a razor blade. The guards pull the skin tight between the guards to render the trimming more manageable and precise. The eyebrow trimmer consists of three basic elements, (1) the razor blade, (2) the front safety head guard for the razor, and (3) the rear safety head guard. In use, the front safety head guard depresses and stretches the skin between it and the rear safety head guard which rides above the razor blade thus facilitates easier and better removal of hair. The eyebrow trimmer is mounted at a comfortable operating angle on a handle having a textured grip for easy holding and manipulation of the eyebrow trimmer, and by using a mirror the party using the trimmer can have a clear view of the eyebrow curving and trimming operation as it progresses.
Abstract: A safety razor having a pivotable head and a holder holding the head, wherein elastic members are interposed therebetween, one of the members is a bridge provided on the undersurface of the head and can be bent along the direction of the axis of the holder, and the other member is a long tongue plate provided at the center of the bridge and can be bent in a vertical direction of the axis of the holder, thereby resulting in smooth pivoting motion of the head.

Abstract: An array of thermochromic cells is formed along the end portion of a thin, highly conductive blade. Each cell is visually responsive to a critical temperature incrementally different from the critical temperatures of the other cells. The thermochromic array defines a set of temperature ranges, set off by the critical temperatures. The undersurface of the end portion is pressed down into contact with the hot surface of an object of unknown temperature. The contact pressure is established and maintained constant by bending the blade against the surface. The high elastic strength of the blade permits generous bends having high bending moments without creating a permanent set in the blade. Heat from the hot surface flows upward across the contact area and into the interior of the thin blade. The interior increase in temperature uniformly, with minimum pertubation; and the end portion rapidly obtains an equilibrium temperature substantially equal to the temperature of the object surface.
Abstract: The present invention comprises a razor head assembly to which is operatively connected a pre-packaged, pressurized unit of shaving cream or gel. The razor head assembly contains a valve mechanism and an opening whereby the contents of the container of cream or gel may be dispensed as required and needed. The assembly further carries a horizontal mounted bracket for holding the cartridge razor when shaving and a vertically mounted bracket for holding the disposable cartridge at a vertical position along side the razor handle when the kit is not in use. A cover is provided for the razor head assembly when the blade is stored on the razor handle.
